    Hi Ladies,
Happy New Year! Donna, I so know the pain to comfort food cycle...this too shall pass.
Cher I will pray for your mom. If there is anything I can help with (or provide medical info about) please call or send me a PM.
I had been struggling with the HCG and sought some counsel about it. I have decided (and my body is telling me!) that this is not the weight loss plan for me. I have started doing 1500 calories, and using the nutrition shakes from my business as a base for my food plan. It feels very sane and I am losing weight. I have started tracking through my fitness pal on my phone. I would love to still connect with all of you.
Donna I am not sure where your last source of meds came from. My friend just ordered so I can get you that info if you would like.
Spending the afternoon and evening with my women's fellowship group for prayer and dinner...looking forward to the time of praise and worship.
My licensing information went to Lansing this week for opening my home for foster care and adoption. Things are progressing, just continuing to pray for the Lord's timing in all of this!
    Have a great day!
    Mary Anne

    Hi Mary Anne,
I hope you continue to "visit" here as we have all become friends exclusive of hcg.
My search for a (dietary) lifestyle change always ends up back with hcg
as the ("diet" = 4 letter word) weight dropping part that works best for my body.
Post hcg, I make Atkins-style food choices for maintenance.
(Obviously, I'm not doing that when I'm gaining.)
My attitude has calmed significantly lately, as far as "having" to drop a specific number of pounds.
I find I do best if I know I've lost, but not how much I've lost.
So my hubby looks at the number on the scale, and tracks it in my ticker for me.
I look at the numbers once a week.
But when I've gone "off plan", I don't need the scale to tell me I've gained.
I last purchased from ADC and am thinking of returning.
It just takes so long for the process to be completed
(because I don't trust overseas with my credit info,
I send a money order - - months long process from start to finish).
    Always remember
    YOU are LOVED!
    Donna

    Hi Ladies,
The weekend has gone by too fast. I have done well with the new eating plan, down a couple of pounds, even with eating out last night. I am sticking to 14-1500 calories, mostly proteins and veggies and limited carbs. Just taking it one day at a time but my body already feels cleaner!
I'm going to bed early tonight, committing to 8 hours of sleep most nights!

    Hello again Ladies,

Mary Anne, it sounds like we are on a similar track when I'm being good and not in phase 2.
8 hours of good sleep, meat and vegies, with limited carbs.
I'm glad you are showing up here every now and then.
I look foreard to seeing you.

This time I have the calm confidence that I will make it all the way to a normal weight range for me.
Because I can see myself there already; emotionally, mentally, and day to day eating-ly.
Because I don't have the "urgency" of "having" to get it off by a certain time or date or event.
Because I believe that I've finally found the appropriate head place to live (re: weight) on this path and after,
regardless of the tool used to arrive in that place.
I've decided to go back to ADC for supplies. It takes forever,
but I'll have a well priced and decent supply once it arrives.

Edited 1/11/12: It seems that my dose has reduced to the Rx in P&I (125) and I am back on track after feeling like this round is a battle.
Hmmm, I wonder if I've been doing this wrong the entire time. . . Oh well, I'm on the correct dose now.
YAY! I lost 1.8 this morning. Yesterday I was back to being able to walk through the grocery store and also decline food offered to me. That's because I didn't have any of the nagging, edgy hunger (as opposed to full blown STARVING hunger) that has been a companion this round. Whew.

Edited 1/12/12: Down 1.4 lbs today. Found my groove again.
Edited 1/13/12 Down 1.2 lbs today. Even though noone else is here right now, I like checking in and posting my daily progress. Maybe I'm "hiding" but I know "us" on here. And when Marchies return, maybe someone else will begin checking in more often as well. But maybe we've moved on, so I'm also watching a couple other threads and may begin checking in on one of them as well.
Edited 1/14/12 Zero. No loss, no gain. 12.6 total loss so far in 17 days.
    Always remember
    YOU are LOVED!
    Donna

    Happy New Year everyone !

Cher, wishing for health, happiness and peace for you and your family !

Donna, welcome back ! Very happy to see you again.

MA, hope you achieve success in this chosen path.

HCG has become a crutch and lamed me. Don't want to say anything more. Need to change my attitude and relationship with food. It's all inside.

Take care and stay in touch.

    ARCHIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    I understand the crutch part.
This whole path has been opening my eyes to see how flawed my relationship is with food.
My hubby has lost 85 lbs without hCG.
He has had full knowlege of my complete path as I've travelled this road.
He has encouraged me to follow this road to the end. Mainly because I have not had success which I could maintain on any other program.
Then, along with Weight Watchers, he & I will work together on my relationship with food.

Like last night I just HAD to have some peanut butter.
He joined me and we felt like a couple of kids with our "lollipop PB spoons".
We talked about the possible results first.
Yesterday I had a "zero" day, no gain-no loss.
I expected to have another zero day today, or possibly a gain, as a result of my cheat.
And I felt I would be okay with that result. (See the Spiritual WARNING! below)

    Then, this morning, SURPRISE!
    Down TWO pounds!

Anyway, Archie, I pray you arrive at a good relationship with food - whatever path you take.

    Spiritual WARNING!
Also, as I ate my "cheat" I thanked God for delivering me from my food addiction.
That praise report is in a teaching that my sister led me to.
There's an online minister whose teaching helped her to lose 65 lbs, the traditional way.
The specific teaching is directed at quitting smoking, and she got it for her daughter who wasn't interested.
For over a year, she listened to it over and over, not understanding why it spoke to her.
Then one day, it clicked - it would work for her with her food addiction.

The specific teaching that spoke to her is free online at:

    Hello friends,
In going with my mom (age 71) for follow-up from hospital stay over the holidays, we just learned that she has lung cancer stage IV. So completely unexpected, sudden
My Mom is a Christ-follower and fully alive in her relationship with the Lord. We are being held in His peace, although overwhelmed with the rapid-fire pace that everything is going now. She has just had the surgery to put in the chemo port and will start treatment next week. Apart from the intervention of God's miraculous mercy, her life will be measured in a few months (even with chemo) It is so challenging because of logistics, as we live over 2 hours away, etc.

I will drop in periodically because I miss you! Archie, one day I will meet you in India
    Grace to each of you,
    Love, Cher

    Cher,
Thank you so VERY much for sharing that information.
Please know that she is high on our personal prayer list.

I would like to put you and your Mom on my extended prayer circles
(you already are, we just like to feel sure the correct person is on the list)
so may we have your Mom's first name?

Would you please put Debbie Ray on your prayer list.
7 months ago her youngest son killed himself.
Last week her oldest son died of an accidental overdose.
    The funeral is tomorrow.
She has no other children, but does have 3 grandchildren.
She is on my extended prayer chain.

    BUBBLIES! to all.
    Always remember
    YOU are LOVED!

Zero loss/gain days Jan 16 & 17 - seemed longer until I wrote this post.
Guess I'll give myself a break and stop obsessing over it.

    Zero again 1/18 - maybe it's time for P3?

    And zero again 1/19, 20, 21.
I've just remembered that I am at a former setpoint.
So I am continuing this round until I "break through" and start losing again, plus 7 days.

Cher My prayers are with you and your mom. What area is she in? Is there anything I can help you with for her? I am thankful she knows the Lord who will sustain you in all of this.

Cher, may God be with you and your mom. Take care and stay strong.

Donna, thanks for the post. I have been thinking about it for a while. But I could not find 74 when I opened the link. It ends at 73. What an irony !

Well ain't that a kick in the pants!
    I can't find it either.
And it appears that there's no way to search for it.
My sister said that they will mail you a CD for free, if you want to contact them.
In the meantime, I'll be searching for it.
    Sorry, Archie.
    Boo hoo hoo!

    I think I found it!

BTW, I'm still at zero loss/gain day.

    --------------------------------------------------

    January 23rd =

    . . !!! YAY !!!

    DOWN 1.2 LBS this morning!

    WOO HOO!!!

    VLCD27 - - - 1/23/12 - - - (-1.2) - - - Total = 16.6 lost
(average daily lost) ADL = 0.62 lbs
This 7 day stall really crashed my stats (former ADL was 0.81)
but what do I most care about?
    total lost or stats

Yeah, baby, Yeah - TOTAL LOST!
