Thanks LolaCat. So happy to be here and happy in general. Down 4 lbs, which is 1 lb less than my pre-load in 1 day, a new record for me. Only thing is the terrible taste in my mouth. Drinking a ton of water to flush whatever it is out. 21 lbs to go in 27 days...but who's counting...?

Hi Lynne...I screwed up with the holidays, so now I'm back and determined to have this be the last time I ever do this.
Hi Robin! Good luck with your round! Congrats on your 4 lb loss! Amazing!

Welcome Mary, my husband and I are both doing this together too, except he cheats more, lol! AND he gets away with it because he's a DUDE Nevertheless, I'm just happy he goes through this with me. You and I are on the same VLCD and down about the same weight (you're beating me slightly)! Awesome!

Sandieth you look amazing i wish i'm going to look always really pretty .. idk when we are going to marry.. but huh i said i only want to marry when i'm thin, my finace wouldnt mind at all, but hey.. you are going to have this photos like forever. This thread is soo much motivation, i'm happy i have meet you guys
Thank you for the compliments Simple, but you know...pictures are overrated! I actually look terrible in most of my wedding pictures and I think the photog used really unflattering angles! But at the end of the day, I'm married and a bunch of people came out to celebrate our love and THAT'S what matters! We funded this wedding ourselves so we are working hard to have it paid off by our first anniversary in September.

I had a 1.8 loss this morning which I'm happy about because my losses have been SLOW for a first week! But I'm not the least bit discouraged because I know that (A) losses are slower with ANY other diet (plus I'm starving and hate life on those) and (B) I feel really good. Hubby and I are training for our 3rd Tough Mudder coming up in May, and I wanna look HOT and do an awesome job. Have a great day everyone! Drink yo' wa-wa!

Hi Mary and Robin. I'm rather new here too and I'm finding it an amazingly supportive and resourceful place. I know you will too!

Mary: My husband and I are doing this together as well. It makes it SO much easier having a live in support person. We did it together over two years ago as well and were both very successful He is already down almost 10 pounds in the first week and I am down over 8 pounds. Crazy when you stick to the diet how well it works. I know the weight loss will slow down for the next several weeks but I'm so happy with the success from the first week.

Robin: Congrats on the 4 pound loss. Keep up the good work.

Have a great day everyone...off to work!

It always kills me when other people cheat and still lose some weight on this diet. 1) For most people this diet is VERY punishing when you cheat, so when you see someone that it isn't, it drives me bonkers. 2) The people that cheat and get away with it, it means that they would have lost a TON if they hadn't cheated.

On a seperate note, how is Tough Mudder? After I lost the weight in 2013, I decided I was going to start running. I did Warrior Dash and Rugged Maniac last year, but Tough Mudder scares the crap out of me.

    Good morning everyone,

Wow, Sandieth you are one Tough Mudder! You were a beautiful bride and I'm sure you will be one hot Tough Mudder this year when the time comes too kick some booty. When I did the diet a couple/few years ago, I was also preparing for my wedding and my wedding photos were not the most flattering either. I'm a big cry baby, very emotionally charged person so I'm crying in most of the photos, and that was one thing I did't account for and not pretty crying either, if I could go back in time and change one thing about that day it would be to be more aware of my facial expressions. I'm also not photogenic and hate the camera, however I did get a few really nice photos and I had the time of my life, so all in all it was pretty fabulous. P.S. I really like the way you have your weight tracked and see we were almost the same pre-load weight. I'm gonna pencil out like you did when I have time.

Matthew, i too cannot cheat! Being that I'm a slow releaser, a cheat would set me back a week. I'm on day 11 down almost 7 pounds, that gain from the beef broth really set me back, but I'm moving forward, drinking a gallon++ water a day and staying completely POP. I just try to keep my eye on the end result and 29 days to go is really not that long and totally worth the effort. One more round after this and I'm done for good.

Hope everyone had a splendid day!
    Round Start May 21st: 159 lbs - - Goal weight 140
    LIW - 140.4

Woke up to a .6 loss. It's killing me that it's beginning to slow down, but slowing is better than stalling.

My wife has brought up to me a VERY valid point that I had not considered.

I am starting a new job on Monday and she worries about me being on this when I am just starting out. I can go on about how the diet doesn't affect my demeanor, but it does... not drastically, but it does. Where I worry is your 2 days of hell at the end of P2 where you are detoxing off of HCG but still on VLCD. During this time, your body is starving and you are stuck on 500 calories and I have snapped at people, been generally mean and gotten in a LOT of trouble at work during those days. Not a good thing to do at a new job. I am on Day 17, so I can't stop before Monday if I wanted to, but should I the weekend after and put my hell days on the weekend or just tough it out?

My husband and I did the first round together and were very successful. He is very motivated and doesn't cheat at all. We figure we can do anything for a few weeks. I woke up to a .8 loss this morning putting me at 5 lbs on VLCD4 and he is already past 10... however he has much more to lose than I do so I figured this round would be slower.

Have a great day everyone and hope you woke up to great loses!!

Oh my goodness you HAVE to do a TM if you are thinking about it. They are so fun! Last year I weighed what I weigh now (which is 30 lbs heavier than what I should weigh) and I got through it with NO training (I was a Marine in another life, so I beleive I can just truck through ANYTHING without training lol!) But it was really tough because of the running and I wish I had trained more. Such an acheivement and feeling of satisfaction when done though! This will be the year of the BLUE headband (you get different colors depending on how many you complete).

You are TOO sweet Lola! I'm an ugly crier too, but I didn't cry at this occassion. I'm honestly surprised that I didn't! I was more giddy than anything Also I was buzzed the whole way through (had a downpour so waited things out in the limo for 45 min with a bottle o' white) Yeah it's neat to see what I lose day-by-day and then after a week I consolidate those #s Like: Wk #1 ### and start on VLCD 8 ### and list out the days for week 2

Job comes first Matthew! BUT! I must say that I have a generally confident attitude on this diet because I feel EMPOWERED and that makes me happy. I don't get hangry on this so I can't really relate. I get hangry on every other freaking diet though, so I totally know what you're saying. Would hate to see you quit early :/

Thanks!! That does help I'm particularly concerned because it is a destination wedding and I'm worried about the pool, etc. I can only fit in a 27 day round for R1 and have more to lose after that - I just have to hope I lose some in P3 before the wedding because I will only be halfway to my goal at the end of R1 (planning a full 40 days for R2). I wish I had started sooner!!
If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you.

@Telperion - You are going to have soooo much fun at your destination wedding!!! I got married in Puerto Vallarta this past october and it was one of the most amazing experiences ever. Being able to spend a week with close friends and family celebrating is indescribable. Where are you getting married?

    Matthew-

I see you are on pellets which I am unfamiliar with but if they are like drops I think they leave your system quicker than subq shots. I think if you are starving your system is purged. You could probably just up your calories on p2 foods to subside the hanger (hungry anger lol) I think you have a good idea trying to stop on a weekend. You could also play around with the time of day you tske your last dose if you are religious about the two day aftermath... maybe your last dose would be with lunch on a Friday so you can eat a proper dinner Sunday evening and be able to prepare your healthy meals for Monday without stressing about seeing food you cant eat yet.
