    Have you been losing up till today?

    Its not unusual to have an upward fluctuation here and there. (Even though its highly annoying.)

    Have you noticed a pattern of gains with the the sugar-free condiments?

    Cabbage and/or the ketchup might be the culprit. I gain on cabbage, but I'm sensitive to it and Brussel sprouts anyway.

    I did notice that my small gains seem to be more frequent when I ate the cabbage with minimal ketchup, so I eliminated the ketchup & used the Simple Girl hot sauce and I didnt really gain, stayed the same, then I stopped the cabbage and went back to mixed salad and I had a loss the next day or 2. So no more cabbage for me, I have lost another 2 lbs but still not larger losses everyday. Im on day 18 with only 8 lbs down from 128 lbs(with loading days). My goal was to lose 15 lbs but Im not sure if that will happen, I need at least 12 lb loss. I think I can lose another 4-5 lbs, I usually lose 2-3 lbs in early P3 phase. I have also eliminated 1/2 & 1/2 creamer and any other creamer bc I see an increase after I had it too. So I dont eat much, drink much and Im miserable. Ive done previous rounds, but this one has been the most difficult with the least amount of wt loss so far. Any thoughts moving forward?

    Sometimes it helps to mix things up.

    Try a different veggie or different protein.

    Grilled onions or roasted fennel are nice changes from salad greens. They are also higher calorie so can help you get closer to the 500 calorie mark.

    Also, pimento peppers are listed in the protocol as being detrimental. A lot of sauces contain various peppers, so there is a chance that peppers could be hindering for you.

    People do use those pepper spices without a problem (P2 chili has become a "thing"), but there are quite a few that gain from them.

    Im so disappointed I gained 0.6 this am. I have no idea how--no breakfast, no coffee lunch 3.5 oz chicken breast with 1 cup of shredded lettuce, 1/2 apple. same for dinner, nothing extra, drank green tea with stevia. The only other thing I did was go walking for about 1 mile. I dont understand

    You are not eating enough calories.

    Cutting out food during the protocol will not make you lose weight faster or better. Why are you only eating half an apple? You can eat whole ones, and it will help get your calories up.

    You seem to have some inflammation going on. If its not from a food or strenuous exercise, could you possibly have some kind of infection or allergy response?

    I split one large apple and eat 1/2 midday & the other early evening. When I ate 2 apples a day, my weight went up. Can I increase my protein, if so, how much? I'm eating 3.5oz twice a day.

    I have the best losses when I eat 4 oz of protein and one fruit serving per day. As Leez recommended, sautéed onions or fennel are great vegetables, as is chopped asparagus mixed with lean sirloin steak as a stir fry. Those are my favorite go to foods, and I'm never hungry after eating them. Sometimes I even find it hard to finish after only eating about half, but I know it won't help my losses to eat less than I should, so I power through it, or even wait about 15-20 minutes to finish the meal.

    Are you eating late? If food doesn't get processed in time, it can show up on the scale as poundage, even though its just passing through.

    I am eating my last meal between 7-8pm, usually around 7:30 is my standard time to eat.

    Hi Sdwis,

    So you only have 1 fruit a day? Im doing the same, im just halfing it, and eating at different times of the day, but never after my last meal around 730pm; I have seen an increase if I eat an apple later in the evening so I try to eat it before 6 pm. I have not tried steak or lean ground beef yet, I ve read other posts and they said that they gained with the meat, and steak is for P3, so which one is best for P2 because I want something new that doesnt cause gains.
