    Pounds & inches

There seems to be a lot of people starting this diet without having much knowledge about it. I encourage everyone who wants to be successful on this diet to read the manuscript written by Dr. Simeon the founder of this diet. Please go to the link listed below and save this to your desk top. Read it thoroughly, several times if necessary. It is so important that you know why the diet works and how it works. I read it several times and still have to refer to it to be sure I remembered somethings correctly.

The people on this forum are extremely helpful but they can only share their experience and what works for them might not work for you. So Please, read Pounds & Inches, follow the protocol exactly and make your own adjustments if you chose to. This is your life and your health you are dealing with. Listen to your body and do what is best for YOU!

...Thanks! I had to read it several times too! I still go back and read things even though I come here too. Research is good. Following "Protocol" is a must. I did have a few glitches (my fault) in R2....but I am getting there. Hopefully @ goal VERY soon.... & then P3 & P4...for Life!

I downloaded the HCGApp for Android and it comes with a copy of P&I with it. It also has a bunch of features to help you track things along the way, well work the $12. You can also get it for your computer or iphone. www.hcgapp.com it has helped me so much!

    Thank you for sharing.

I agree- there are far too many people starting the diet- and having no clue what it is all about. Many of them are getting scammed into purchasing fake products, and they aren't loading properly and setting themselves up for success. I feel like sometimes I say it until I am blue in the face... LOL READ POUNDS AND INCHES! READ IT TWICE. Read it until everything makes sense! (I know I had to read and re-read it for it all to finally *click*).

great advice! i am about to start r1 and will be on my third read going into diet phase. didnt i initially want to read....thought i would just "follow" the food protocol. i am so glad i read. it is a bit overwhelming to wrap your head around it all, but there is alot of great, interesting info. i printed it and highlighted important points and keep referring to it!

I read it and it is fascinating. It incurious to me though how dr simeon figured out how much of each veggie for patients to consume. He only states that 100 grams or 3.5 oz of the protein can be consumed but neglects to say how much in grams or oz the veggies and fruits need to be. HOw do we figure this out so we stay within 250 a meal or 500 a day?

You can eat what you like of the veggies usually without going over 500 calories. You can measure them if you like and keep track but it's usually impossible to eat enough of the allowed veggies to go over.

Oh no!!! I've been weighing my veggies and only eating a 100grams. Looks like I have a lot to learn. Ordered pounds and inches and waiting for it to come from Amazon. Does anyone know where I can find a food/calories list? I've been going off Just weight and not calculating calories. Thanks
