Rapid Weight Loss !! Should I Be Worried ??

    Hello Everyone,

my name is Shaquille and I'm new to HCG Diet & the Forum. I really appreciate all you guys posting your experiences and helping new people like me get through this diet.

So i started the diet on the 26th of May.

Phase 1(loading): i ate at least 3500 calories day with at least 40% of the macros being fat.

Phase 2: I started 28th of May. I have been very precise with my serving sizes, eating at the same time and taking my HCG at the same time everyday, drinking a gallon of water a day & weighing myself everyday at the same time.

I am not sure if i should be concerned because my starting weight was 319.2 and as of today I weigh 300.4. I have went to the doctor to use a different scale and the numbers checked out. Is this type of weight loss in the first week normal ?

**I am using 200iu HCG, phentermine (app suppressant), and One a Day Vitamins.**

    Thanks In Advance !

That is a pretty astoundling loss for 5 days of VLCD. But it doensn't necessarily mean anything is wrong or that you need to change anything.

Generally, when there is that rapid of a loss (you are averaging 4 pounds a day, wowie.) it means you have a great amount of inflammation in your body that has been holding water weight. The elimination aspect of HCG allows your body drop that water because it is getting a break from a daily barrage of inflammatory foods, some that you might not even be aware of yet. That is a good thing to lose inflammation weight, and it can happen fast.

How much did you gain from your load? That might be a clue as to what is going on.

You don't need to drink a gallon of water a day, although you can if you think it helps you. You only need about 2 litres of water a day, and some of that can come from coffee and tea. So there is no real need to drink excessively.

The other thing I want to mention is that if your dose is correct, you don't need phentermine or any other appetite suppressant. The HCG does that very well. In fact, you may forget to eat, its that complete.

200iu is a very high dose, and usually causes hunger. The phentermine may be suppressing that. You don't want to be taking appetite suppressants with HCG because hunger is how you know your dose is not right. When your dose is not right, you lose muscle instead of fat. It all looks the same on the scale, but when you lose muscle weight, you slow down your metabolism and will gain weight at a lower calorie level than previously. A normal dose that is good for most people is 150iu, or 125iu in later rounds.

I hope you will consider stopping the phentermine. If you become hungry after stopping it, that is your body signaling that your dose is not right. What you do then is skip your dose for a day and then adjust up or down according the results of the skip day.

Its not unusual to lose during load, especially if you loaded more on healthy fats rather than sugary treats. But that makes your total loss even more amazing. Apparently, your body was ready to start healing.

If you find you have strong hunger or cravings, skip your dose the next day. Take note of how your hunger is in the late afternoon to early evening. If hunger is gone, that means the dose needs to be lowered. Don't change dose without doing the skip day, as the effects of the change take much longer to happen. You don't get relief right away, and you lose time if you change in the wrong direction. Its unlikely that you would need to increase dose, but it does happen.

HCG stays in the body for 3 days, so there is an overlap. The skip day brings your levels down quickly.

Yes I ate more healthy fats and not much sugar. I guess your right about my body being ready to heal. I appreciate you giving me these tips. I did the skip day and I dont think i was hungry. there was a period when i wanted to eat but i think it was more of a "want" rather than actual hunger. I have an appointment tomorrow with the doc to talk about lowering dose. Thanks Leez !

I'm sorry, it seems I was unclear. I should have posted:

"If you find you have strong hunger or cravings after stopping the phentermine, skip your dose the next day." It appears like you did both on the same day.

The half life of phentermine is 16-30 hours, so it may be that it was still active in your system. So if you skipped the same day you stopped the phentermine, that would affect the diagnostics of the skip day.

To get an accurate skip days result, you needed to stop the phentermine for at least a day (preferably 2), then skip. But now that you've skipped, you can't skip again until you've had 4 days on the same dose (whatever dose you took the day after). The reason is that HCG stays in your system for 3 days, so if you are changing doses during those days, its impossible to tell anything definitive from the skip day.

My guess is that the skip day did help you, but we can't know for sure.

Did you return to your 200iu dose today? Or did you lower?

By all means consult with the doctor. They will usually work with you when you do something that is beneficial.
