Thread: I want to end sooner, so weak

I want to end sooner, so weak

Hi, this is my 3rd round of hcg over several yrs. I haven't kept all the weight off, hence being here again, but this was more of a vanity round. (I've lost muscle & gained some fat due to discontinuing exercise & eating more freely).

This round I'm doing drops recommended here and my hunger is pretty much gone. I feel hunger when it's time to eat but that's it.

Have lost 10.4# in 14 days.

I had to decrease the drops from 3 times/day to 2 as the weakness was horrible. I couldn't do anything! Once I decreased them I felt a bit better.
However now I'm feeling so blank & really lack energy! Being present with my kids is a challenge & I just want to sleep.

I'm terrified I'm going to gain it all back like before, reading so many stories of gaining it all back and then some has me so scared. I'm feeling remorse at this point.
Before starting I was eating pretty much whatever I wanted (healing from a lifetime of dieting and it's been wonderful! 3yrs ago this summer I started that journey) and not gaining much. However, my calorie intake was definitely too high pared with little exercise, I became uncomfortable in my skin.

I want to stop early so I can live again, this feeling is aweful! My kids need me present. I increased protein slightly & that actually broke a 3 day stall. With 1.5# loss for 2 days.

Talk me off the ledge, or encourage me it's ok? I can't believe i'm here feeling so scared I'll be bigger than before! Reading all the stories of everyone gaining has me worried I'll never be able to go back to eating freely and continue healing again.

    What do I do?

You are having a fabulous result so far. Unfortunately, if you end before the minimum 23 injections, you will easily gain it back. Only by completing at least the minimum round does your metabolism get enough resting time in order for your set point to be lowered. Don't give up! You are 2/3 of the way there, it would be a shame to waste that investment into attaining a goal that is important to you.

Once you finish your P3, you migh look into one of the healthy maintenance eating plans like Fast metabolism diet or Trim Healthy Mama. Both teach you how you can be satisfied without gaining again. You really can eat freely, just with a little different definition of freedom. Anyone who loses weight on HCG and thinks they can go back to old eating patterns that caused their weight gain without gaining again is fooling themselves. Changes have to be made. But they can be done in a way that doesn't make you feel deprived.

Now for the weakness: it could be low potassium. If you are not using mineral salt, start now. Stir a 1/4 tsp into your water several times a day. That will also help keep your electrolytes balanced. Try a magnesium supplement at night or soak in an epsom salts bath to help you sleep better. (It can also help you eliminate easier.)

Oh no, ending early doesn't work?
Gosh, this weakness is awful. I can't make it thru the day. How do people do this that work???

I actually have a coach I'm going to work with when finished here to get into a healthier way of eating while still enjoying "free" eating sometimes. While it's not food combining like THM, it's controlled macros.

There are SO many stories of people saying they followed things perfectly & gained everything back & more!
I did not follow P3 perfectly & know why I gained before. But, not gonna lie, it's scaring me.

How do I handle this next wk with my legs feeling like they're made of lead? And depression.

And Thank You so much for helping!

I didn't see the weakness suggestions above before.
Magnesium is something I take every night, and I salt liberally due to weak adrenals. Have done this for years now. Should i do more salt?
As for potassium, what supplement do i get?

You gave a little more info this time. Legs feeling like lead is almost surely a need for potassium. There is a bit of potassium in mineral or pink salt, but it sounds like you need more.

You can use 1/4 tsp cream of tartar several times a day until you can buy a supplement. Any pharmacy (even grocery store ones) will carry it in the 99mg dose. That is the max they are allowed to sell. Pop one whenever you get that heavy muscle feeling. I identify it as the same kind of feeling you get from lactic acid buildup after extended exertion, where it takes supreme effort to keep your legs moving. Does that describe what you are feeling?

Yeah that's kind of how it feels. I just want to.lay down all day. My legs feel sooooo heavy! Often times my back even feels heavy, just my whole body really.

I ate some pickles today & I notice a minor difference but its wearing off. Is that a thing or am I imagining it?

Will find the supp today! If it really works I can stick it out!

I had a 3 day stall, added more protein then for 2 days in a row I dropped 1.5#. Today I didn't see a change. But 10.4# in 15 days isn't bad. Im at a "healthy" weight but carry it all in my lower body so look quite disproportionate. Lol you can see my ribs but not my kneecaps or ankles.

    Anyway, thank you!

Depends on what kind of salt is in the pickels.... table salt won't help you.

You need pink salt, RealSalt (red salt from Utah mines), celtic, sea salt or gray salt. Any of those will give you the minerals you need to keep your electrolytes stable.

I'm so sorry you're feeling so awful! Leez is right about trying sea salt in warm water. It could be an electrolyte thing. Are you making sure you're eating your fruit too?

    So great news!
I had some sea salt in water, pickles & found a potassium supplement.

Today was SO much better! A little too better, all I wanted yo do was eat. Not really hunger, just felt good & desired to eat. I ate a little too much protein but am ok with that even if it causes no loss.

THANK YOU both! Im praying this will stick and I'll feel better tomorrow too! I still had to rest a little throughout the day but the weakness & heaviness was almost gone tonight.
    I'm amazed & blessed

My favorite is Celtic Gray/Grey Salt. It enhances the taste of your food, requires less than table salt to taste it, and does not cause bloating like white table salt does.
