Beef can work if it is super lean. The trick is finding it as lean as chicken breast which is 98-99% lean.

You can try and see how you do with the tenderloin.

Hi Bballmom... I can not imagine a round without red meat... but I only buy lean beef fillet and extra lean ground beef... I have a butcher I trust and he carries superior quality meat... i do find that although I have done so in the past, when I do red meat twice a day i skirt dangerously close to the 500calorie mark so now I restrict to once a day.... this past round and sgain now, it appears as if my body does not like chicken... strange but true... so I am doing a lot of fish this round... Red meat works gor me

Why forgo the apple? The apple has fiber that will help you digest the beef protein.

Hi all, I have three days left and have been stalled for about 5 days. I read here that a mini steak day is useless (overall). My hunger has increased quite a bit whereas thus far I've been hungry but its been manageable. Is it safe to assume that what I'm experiencing at the end of P2 is normal (increased hunger, weight loss stalling)?

Diet wise I've been right at or slightly under 500 calories. I don't eat the melba/breadstick thingies as they did cause me trouble early on. I do slightly more protein than 100G, per my doctor's recommendation due to the fact that 100G was too little to sustain me and have had awesome weight loss. I started at 167 lbs and I'm now at 145.8 lbs. I was hoping to get closer to 140-143, but ....yeah.

Any thoughts on my last three days would be great! Thanks! -aj

Its normal for losses to slow at the end of a round. But its not normal to be hungry.

It's troubling that you have been hungry for an extended amount of time. That indicates your dose has needed adjustment for a while. That alone could account for a stall.

It is not unusual to need to adjust dose down once or more during a round. However, your dose might be lower than needed now if HCG is degrading, for instance, so there is no way to know unless you do a skip day. If you still have 3 injections left, you can skip tomorrow. If your hunger goes away in the late afternoon to early evening, then lower your dose 25iu for those last 3 dose days. If hunger increases at that time of day, raise dose by 25iu.

HCG takes 3 days to build up to full strength in your body, so a bare minimum of 3 consecutive dose days before transitioning is imperative to be able to enter P3 at full dose strength.

As for the stall, its best to wait them out and let them break on their own without special intervention. Hopefully, the stall will break and your water stores will normalize before you hit P3. If not, you may be in for a wild scale ride the first P3 week.

Well luckily its only been the last 3-4 days where I've been hungrier than usual and one of those was likely due to the fact I had to unbury our driveway of snow two days ago. That was a LOT of physical exertion! I was wrecked the next day (yesterday).

Thanks for the advice. I will try to adjust my dose to see if that helps and ride out the last few days.

So what wild ride should I brace myself for if the water stores do not normalize? I like to plan ahead. LOL

The scale could make some big swings. If it happens you just have to ride it out. Don't assume you are doing something wrong. Do a steak day if needed--the scale should all settle down by week 2.

To be clear on whether to do a skip day....the type of hunger that indicates your dose needs adjusted is not just hunger that you can ignore, or deal with by distracting yourself with a hot drink or something else. It is painful hunger, strong hunger that you can't ignore, and it doesn't go away when you eat. A little hunger before regular meal times is normal and does not indicate the need for a dose change.

Ugh, today I had a .2 lb gain from 145.8 to 146. What the heck? Too much salt? Water retention? I only have 2 days left and I wanted to get to 145.0 or on a prayer get to 144. I know its just numbers...its just I was wanting to finish a bit lower is all and its doubtful in two days time that will happen.

It's a water fluctation , only .2 lbs. Can't agonize over .2 one direction or the other. You may still finish a little lower over 2 days. Good luck!
