    Quick post with results - but I will be back later today. Treated myself to a really nice lean thick steak last ight - paid off!

    Hi Ladies,

    I had a nice 2.4 pound loss this morning! I'm so happy I didn't get bummed yesterday because I think we have to remind ourselves that not every day is going to be big numbers AND as we continue with the program we'll start to lose a bit more slowly. Bottom line, I've lost more in the last 11 days than I did on WW since January. Nothing wrong with WW, but HCG really does work. And I"m sooooo not hungry!

    I did up my protein yesterday and am still only eating one fruit. Today I tried Fage' 0% fat greek yogurt for my lunch protein. It has less ingredients than cottage cheese and 17 grams of protein so I'm thinking they didn't have fage when the protocol was written. I know that the original manuscript says to expect slower losses when including dairy, but the old-school in me says I should be eating at least some dairy. I'll see if the fage interrupts my overall losses, but if it doesn't, its a delicious lunch. I can smell my dessert in the oven; baked apple slices, with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, one packet of stevia. Bake for 30 @ 350 and it's soo good.

    My miracle noodles should be here tomorrow. If you haven't tried these I would recommend. Again, I don't think these were around when the manuscript was written and I ate them lots on my first round with no ill effects.

    Whittles, try not to beat yourself up over a little slip. My first round I was perfectly POP and this round I'm much more likely to try different things (like the fage). I think the important thing is that we're learning as we go .

    Parker: You're doing so splendid! You have much to be proud of, stay strong

    Scotland: It's insane with the sugar huh? I'm convinced big business has been winning the food battle . The good news is that we are finally getting some alternate options (no where near what they should be, but they are emerging.

    I feel great. I call it my HCG high. Crazy how little I'm eating and I'm just not hungry. I am having a very hard time getting in 500 Calories. Today I ate 2 melba just to get my calorie intake over 400 and I've been eating 1/2 hard boiled egg in the morning too for extra calories and protein. I know it's totally against the protocol, but I'm having good losses and the one thing I want to avoid is loosing muscle!

    3rdtime - 2.4 on day 11! Way to go!! Congratulations on under 200!!!!

    I think you are right - it can be easy to fall prey to the DAILY drop - but we have to look at the whole picture and look forward into P3 - which I am convinced is the most important phase!

    Last night I took measurements (even though I promised to wait until week 3)
    2.8 inches off my middle and one inch off upper thigh!!

    I'm amazed at how well this works for us!
    I really struggled with hunger day 1-3, but that's settled off and I am not hungry. I too have to work to get in the calories.

    Whittles!
    Nearly 8 pounds in 3 days - amazing!!!

    I was running late this morning and I didn't weigh - I was also avoiding it. I did not eat enough yesterday AT ALL.
    I am really struggling with my proteins and cooking and trying to cook for my kids.
    Yesterday work was very stressful and then I was in traffic for an hour! I got home and was so tense that I caved and had a glass of wine....then another.
    THEN - I realized I had no appropriate protein for me in the house and the 2 glasses of wine felt really strong - so I didn't want to drive to the store.
    I made the kids their food - but I didn't eat anything! I felt totally anxious about food and calories and protocol... that I just ended up eating an apple and two glasses of wine all day. NOT OK.

    I have to remind myself that the goal of this whole thing is to feel better and take better CARE of myself. starving and getting food-anxiety is not part of this! I'm annoyed at myself for not planning better and for also becoming so "scared" of eating the wrong thing that I let myself starve all day. The diet cannot become bigger than self-care. I want it to be a part of self care.... UGH. Lesson learned.
    Im shopping after work and loading my fridge up with my foods again. Treating myself to a thick piece of steak tonight and a big plate of veggies. I anticipate a stall - but that's ok. Its a process and we are on our way.

    Hello Progress Makers!
    I am on P1D2 (2nd load day) and feeling bloated and bummed that I gained 2.4 yesterday after losing 3 in 4 days prior to starting hcg. I would love to be part of your group as I am super motivated to get this weight off. I will have lots of questions as this is my first round and HCG dieting. It surprises me how I do not want to load up on bad foods today. Any other day I would so welcome a greasy burger or something fried. Nope. Not today but I will load and start the VLCD tomorrow. Already planning my meal for the day: Chicken and Cabbage with a handful of blackberries. Need to get a scale though to weigh the chicken.

    I appreciate any advice and feel ready to go with this. I have a beach vaca Aug. 8-15 in Florida and can't wait for the new me to strut the sandy beaches withOUT the cover up!!

    Hi atkhorse! Welcome.
    I think the biggest motivation comes from support - so I am glad you are here.
    You will lose the "load" weight really fast - many of us lose it in the first day. Hang in there - load is so important.
    Im excited to watch your progress!

    Gained 2 pounds today. A little bummed -but I know what it was, so I feel empowered to correct it and get back on track. Numbers are still better than any other program Ive been on!
    After the debacle of Wednesday - yesterday was better, but I was very hungry all day. Got my protein in! But today I am a bit swollen and puffy (which I know happens if I starve myself).

    Hi ladies,

    Welcome aboard atkhorses . Those load day pounds are just going to melt right off!! Honest!!

    Parker: Looks like we hit a bit of struggles the last few days. I was thrilled to receive my miracle noodles in the mail. Ate two packages on Thursday. Felt super full, so I wasn't hungry at all but I also cheated on a handful of pistachios and a handful of chocolate chips (why oh why didn't I throw them away). I was up 1.8 pounds the next day . Last night I also ate my miracle noodles and today I was only down .2.... I read the miracle noodles and they contain a flour that was NOT in the ingredients the last time I did the round. I also looked at my notes and the last round I ate 'no-noodles' not miracle noodles so maybe that's the difference? Anyway just goes to show that we must always read labels because there is trickery among us lol.

    Yesterday (Friday) is my skip day and I was a bit hungry last night also and had a handful of crackers . That makes 2 'cheat' days in a row. In keeping perspective, those are not anything like cheats I have off HCG, but I was so POP the first round that I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not sticking totally to the protocol. I'm not going to beat myself up though because today is a new day and I'm back on the horse and feeling super motivated!!

    I'm going to switch the way I'm reporting my daily weight to weeks so maybe that will help me realize that it's the long term we are going for. Even though these past few days saw an overall gain, I hope to still have lost close to 4 pounds this week (we'll see what I weight tomorrow morning). I plan on doing 40 injections (46 days skipping one day a week). It's the longest round I have ever planned. My goal is to see in the 170's by the end, but that seems like a lofty goal at the pace of this round so if I can just get to 183 that will be 25 pounds and I can live with that.

    4 pounds in 2 days?? Im pretty bloated today and I am trying not to get totally discouraged. Ive been eating clean. Ive had no melba, or an other gluten at all. Ive not cheated with anything but the wine (Wednesday only).
    I think whats going on is that I am not eating enough - then throwing a bunch of sugar in the mix. SO, today has been very clean - LOTS of water. Im having a steak tonight and we will see if some of this comes back off.
    Of course - I reached out to Grammy for some suggestions.
    Week one was breeze. Week Two is not for sissies!

    You've got this! If you're eating clean and drinking lots of water it's only a matter of time before you have a whooshe! Sometimes the numbers get in our head a bit so try to just concentrate on the fact that you're eating clean today and today is all that matters. It's bound to come off! Hang in there my friend

    Thanks 3rd - Yes, the numbers get into your head. IM not at 206...Im 9 pounds down and maybe more by tomorrow.

    My numbers this week were all over the place, but I'm 3.4 down from last Sunday morning for a total of 11.8 (including load). Those are incredible numbers for me and in the grand scheme of things this is not a sprint. I love hcg dieting (especially when the dose is correct). I am going to a birthday party today so I imagine I'll be doing a bit of off-protocol eating, but I'm planning on eating salad and passing on dessert and for me, that's huge .
