Thread: Anyone starting a new round around April 8th?

    Thank you for the post. And the info about the ticker, now I know what I am doing is what everyone else is doing too. I read my husband the riot act and even had to cry to get him to let me get the food I need for this diet or food at all! It's not easy being married when you have no income of your own and can't work for serious health reasons. I hate being totally dependent on someone else. Anyway if I get up at 5:00 a.m. and take him to his job tomorrow I can get $40 worth of marked down fish he said and some vegetables. I told him I need a bag of apples, tomatoes (more than 5) celery, lettuce and cucumbers. That's about all I can get but it is more than what I have for tonight which is eggs. I don't see how you all can get full enough eating the yolks. I get 4 eggs a day from my chickens so have eggs up the wazoo. I hard boil them but then eat 3-6 as that is all I have to eat. My weight finally went down to 252 so I am only up 4 pounds now, not ALL my weight I had lost. I was SO discouraged this a.m. I do not do good at dieting period. Hate it. Really I do. I've spent most of my life dieting and even had a very abusive adoptive mother who called me fatty and you fat oath all my child hood. So it is rough. But I keep trying, If I don't loose 94 pounds this diabetes will kill me. But trying to loose the weight is kiling my psyche. Oh well. Thanks for letting me vent today folks. Wish I could send you my fresh eggs. It is like Easter everyday here I get all colours from my hens. And now even have another rooster who showed up who SO wants to be part of the O'Hana (family) that he is now sitting on top of the huge peacock run and looks longingly to get in with everyone else. I have been feeding him separately but he wants the companionship of all the other hens and roosters. But roosters fight so you have to keep them separate with their own hens and I already have two huge areas for mine. So he is on the outside looking in. Longingly.

    I use guar gum 2tbs in orange juice a couple of times a week to keep down my cholesterol. It really works. My Dr. freaked when he saw my cholesterol had gone from 320 to 210 in one month. He wanted to know what I had done. I read all about the "gastric by pass with NO surgery" diet. And it is ONLY guar gum. So I went to the health food store and bought the guar gum all of $1.20 a package. And 3 or 4 packages will last you the month. It also helps bring down your blood sugar if you are diabetic like I am (from being overweight -from taking medicine that I am now off of).
    So anyway I wondered if it was OK to have it on this diet. I looked it up and in 1 tbs there is only 20 calories and 6gms of carbs. So what is the verdict out here? Do you all think it is OK to take it?
    Oh guar gum is what is used in everything from salad drsgs, to ice cream to gravies as a thickening agent. The diet industry used to use it all the time so people would feel "full". Then it was taken off the dieting market to be used in diets. I don't know how this "gastric by pass WITHOUT the surgery" diet is getting away with it. But they have people scared to talk about it, and even have sent people cease and desist letters when they post anything negative. One lady has not backed down though.
    I looked into that diet before the HCG. They are selling it for $450!!!!! Can you believe it? Live and Learn huh? Well I am down to 252 only 3 pounds up now, so feel a little bit better. I wish I had better will power. Even though I am not hungry I just am dying to EAT for comfort - not a good thing emotional eating I know.

    Laemgirl, How old is your daughter? I know my daughter is 26 and she has been on herbalife since last july and has lost 113pounds, doing that diet, but I tried it and I can't live off of shakes, I need real food to chew. Has your daughter done this diet before? Maybe this diet is to hard, cause I know my daughter doesn't cook(quick fix generation) and couldn't do hcg, cause we have to cook our food, I do know that she went off the diet for 3 months and maintained really well, but talk about the loose skin she has and she did lose alot of muscle mass and now is doing weight training to build muscle back and trying to get her skin to tighten and the trainers there are misleading her, saying that the skin will tighten the more you work out, but she's lost over a 100lbs and I do not know anyone whose lost that much weight and exercise tighten the skin, I keep telling her to take the MSM and even showed her video vlog's to prove the MSM works, but her quick fix is a mommy makeover, I'm wondering if your daughter is also the quick fix mentally and listens to everyone but Mom
    My daughter is only 17 and she needs to lose 30 lbs to get to the "normal" range but, she would like to lose a total of 40 so that she can be in the middle of the normal range, instead of the top. She doesn't really cook because she is at home and goes to school full time. She likes to cook though and is keen on keeping track of what she eats. I think her main problem is just not sticking to the rules as far as sleep and water intake. I know she doesn't drink more than a glass or 2 of water and I believe she is getting less than 6 hours sleep per night between studying, friends and facebook. UGH. But, she is almost an adult now so, you can lead a horse to water but, you can't make them drink ... Also, Grammy says she think my daughter might be insulin resistant, which would explain her sudden weight gain and various other symptoms she has come down with in the last 6 months (acne, headaches, mild depression) might even be PCOS so, I'm going to start looking into other reasons for her weight gain other than just not eating right.

    That is so amazing that your daughter was able to lose over 100 lbs!! That is quite the accomplishment. I think she will probably have to have surgery though if she wants to get rid of the excess skin, I really believe that HCG is the only diet that can avoid that issue. There may be natural remedies for that but, I don't know about them. Has she considered seeing a naturopath or homeopath?

    good morning, well I only lost .4 this morning but it's ok cause on my omron body analyzer if finally lost 1.2lbs of fat,(my doc taught me how to convert fat% into pounds) so I lost all the water weight and it's fat burning time and my weight loss will be slowing down(which is normal) I noticed last nite my knees were hurting me and kept waking me up during my sleep, so I woke up 3 times and I was itching all day. I read it's my body way of telling me, my new med's are working and should go away in a couple of day's.
    Antionette, I have alittle trick to keep your veggies from spoiling so fast, keep everything wrapped tight in saran wrap, even after you cut them, my cabbage is 2 weeks old and still is fresh, I alway's portion out a family size package of chicken or beef and vaccum seal and label, for example, I will write on the chicken breast vaccum sealed package sunday vlcd 5 lunch and for the eye of round steak, vlcd 5 sunday dinner and I do not allow my familly to eat those pre-portion sealed meats, those are just for me only, it makes it so much easier and cheaper for me, not to figure out what I suppose to eat. I also eat eggs, in the morning, but I make a egg white omlet and add my veggies in and sometimes I will eat my 6 strawberries with the omlet if Im really starving, I also have 1 boiled egg for my salad at lunch. I also use my oranges and strawberries for salad dressings. I have the recipes if you would like them. Have you ever thought about starting a veggie garden, I have tomatoes growing and a herb garden, its very fun and there's nothing like a sweet home grown tomatoe right of the vein. YUMMY
    Laemgirl, Oh yeah, it's hard to monitor your daughter eating and water intake when there not home, maybe some of her friends would like to be on the diet with her, it will give her accountablity and support when she's away, I know my daughter loves to go to the herbalife place, just to hang out and socialize with all the other people there, it's alittle community that supports each other and they all that type of diet in common. Have you had her thyroid tested? It causes alot of health issues too, that she's experiencing, that's what started my weight gain,fatigue,insominina and high blood pressure. I also have insulin resistance and now just learning what is it, it's very confusing. I can't imagine if I had to go thru all of this at 17, like your daughter is, it doesn't seem fair at that young of age. My daughter know's now, her problem is from eating unhealthy, fast, processed foods and 2 having 2 kids, she was just to young to know what is a healthy lifestyle is and I cooked dinner every nite and still she chose to eat out with her friends, during school and on week-ends, so yeah it's impossible to watch them every minute, your so right about leading a horse to water.     good morning everyone, well if you look at my ticker,you'll see I gained .2, which was due to my hcg lost it's potiency, I was starving yesterday and weighed myself around 9pm and I had gained over 5 lbs since the morning weight in and did not cheat and didn't reach 500 calories, so last nite I tested my hcg and the pregancy test came out negative, so I mixed a new batch late last nite and did another injection. Hopefully, tomorrow I will be on the right path again. SOOO how did everyone do today? Niane

    good morning, well I lost .4, which is fine, but I finally am in ketosis and I lost another 1.5 body fat so Im going to be a person who drops weight slowly, but that's ok, Im not in a race trying to win a prize. I noticed I post alot or did everyone move to another thread or group? Im getting very lonely here Niane

    You should read up on the Leptin Reset! I keep touting its merits, but I stabilized SO easily doing that. And at the end of P3/P4, I was eating like a normal person. Now I'm into R2. There's a thread called the Leptin Reset Diet Plan at the bottom of the list on the main forum page. Works like a miracle!

    OH NO, I gained 1.2 pounds this morning, I think it's caused I used olive oil and skipped breakfast, I checked my scale, got good sleep, got all my water in and had a BM. Im wondering if my bac water was old when I mixed my new batch of hcg or maybe it's stress or the olive oil? HUMMM, Im gonna check my hcg first. Niane

    Maybe try just doing 2-3 days without a shake and see if it makes a difference for your weight loss... if not, then start up again Definitely don't want to waste it!

    I'm down .4 today so, that makes 8.4 lbs lost since Monday - I will take that!!! My daughter however has not been so lucky she is only down 1.8 - I believe it's mainly because she is not eating enough (skipping fruits and most veg) and she is not drinking enough water and probably not sleeping enough either. We will keep working on that...

    Good Morning Everyone!!! Sorry I've been busy (and trying not to snack!) but I'm back and wishing healthy eating and good joys to everyone. I'm finally losing a few pounds but doesn't appear to be any body fat (according to my little scale). I plan on measuring this week and see if that might be the case, although my clothes don't feel any looser.... I'm just happy the scale is moving! As a side note, I had a cheat on Sunday.. salmon burger and sweet potato fries... MMMmmmmm!!!! And of course I felt totally guilty, so I've been adding lots of water and fiber pills to my diet the last three days. I can totally feel the bread and potatoes sitting in my gut. I'm guessing that is where the weight drop came from. As I noted on my Facebook site, I feel like I'm a scrubbing bubble! :-)

    And I do two 1/2 servings of Shakeology in the morning to spread my feeling full throughout the morning. It can be a bit thick so I modify the directions from 1 full scoop in 8 oz of water to 1/2 scoop in 10 oz of water at 11 am, and again at 12:30 pm. 1 full scoop is 150 calories, 18 g of protein, 17 g of carbs, 1 g of fat. Shakeology is also full of vitamins and minerals so I don't worry about taking a supplement. There is also 1800 mg of Phytonutrient green blend (spirulina, algea, spinach powder, wheat grass, etc and an antioxidant fruit blend 1750 mg of acerola, camu-camu, pomegranite, biberry, blueberry, goji, acai, rosehips in powder form, as well as 1150 mg of prebiotic and probiotic blend (including flax, chia, apple fiber, msm, pea fiber, quinoa). I sometimes do another 1/2 serving in the late afternoon, if I have to work at my second job.

    It's rogue, but with all the added nutrients, I don't feel bad including it. Because I am working a second job, sometimes I feel hungry still, so I'll add a little soy protein in the evening if I have to. My goal is to never go above 700 calories in a day, and under 500 for the majority of the week.

    Hello everyone. I am new to all this, have asked a few questions but not yet fully comfortable with how to work all the gadgets. I need some instruction on the weight ticker and someone elses viewpoint on how you "feel" when the hcg is burning fat. I started about a month ago with Hhcg gtts and did not get any good results, a lot of up and down with the weight. I am now on R1P1VLCD2 the hucog injections at rate of 125. I have felt no hunger the past two days and am wondering too, if I don't eat enough is that as bad as eating too much. Thanks for the help.

    Create a login account, from the box on the right.

    Once you set up the ticker and fill out your info, click on save... The important thing to do is remember to BOOKMARK that page. Otherwise you'll never be able to get back to it and will have to start over.

    Each time you go to the bookmarked ticker, you will need to log in. It will tell you that you are not logged in, click on the HERE word to login. My password is pre-filled out so I just click on the OK button. Scroll down to the bottom to update your weight information. The forum signature will automatically update after you save this info.

    Copy the bbCode URL into the SIGNATURE box on the HCG Diet Info Forum Profile. (There are three options for coding lines. bbCode is the one I found to work for me.) This can be edited under Settings-->Edit Signature (located on the left side of window).
