    Want to stop early

    Hi All,

As background, HCG has literally CHANGED my life. It's changed how I feel about myself, food and really taught me discipline. I started this diet 3 years ago weighing 150 pounds and realizing that I felt so unhealthy and needed to get it together.

Fast forward, I maintained most of the weight but was getting married last year and wanted to shed extra pounds so decided to do round 2; losing about 10 pounds and ending at 108. Now fast forward another year, I maintanced pretty well, I was hovering at 111 for a whole year until I recently moved to NYC and just ate unhealthy (I haven't had bread, pasta or rice in a year) so unhealthy meaning just oily and alcohol. And I gained about 6 pounds over course few months. This sent me into a spiral and I decided to do hcg again. I'm on VLCD10 and back to 111 (total 7 pounds lost) and stalled. Period is delayed by 4 days n I just can't do this diet anymore. I feel silly n almost crazy to do this. Part of me wants to push through and lose more and other part just wants to live life. I've become obsessive and feel like I just can't enjoy my life anymore.

Just please someone help me either break this stall (recommendations) or tell me how I get off this diet because I can lose rest of the weight in a more healthy fashion. Also PS my loading was Salads and cheesy chicken....not exactly the best loading.

Sorry for this long post and for so many life details but I'm sure some of what im saying resonates with my fellow HCGers. Help a gal

Unfortunately, if you stop now, you will likely regain the 7 pounds you have lost. Your hypothalmus has not had a sufficient rest in order for your set point to be lowered.

If you've already decided to stop, no one is going to be able to talk you out of it. Quitting now, the most you can do is stay on the 500 calorie diet for 72 hours after your last injection, and then do a proper P3. But that will not guarantee you can keep the loss, just that it likely won't come back immediately.

Here is my pep talk anyway: Maybe you are obsessive and can't enjoy your life now, but you will be able to in a couple weeks. Maybe you can handle it for a couple more weeks and get the most benefit possible from your investment of money and time? Are you in an emotional time right now because of your cycle, so everything is seeming magnified? What if you could get past that in a few days and be ok? Would it be worth sticking it out?

You are not officially in a stall until you have had no losses for 4 days. It is normal to have days where you don't lose and even some where you gain a little. Its all about how the body is managing your water levels. You are still losing fat even when the scale doesn't move.

I'd honestly say push through it. You've mentioned you maintained for several years so you weren't obsessed and you were living your life then. You'll live it again in a few weeks. If you quit now you'll still be obsessed, probably longer than it would take to compete this round, and you'll still have to do a change in your diet to lose the weight. Hang in there. You've got this.

i am new here, so please bear with me:
Mina is on VLCD10 and reached her target weight.
if she continue P2 for required days on protocol (13 more days) she will be underweight. - isn't it a problem?
    could be dangerous, correct?
    thanks

The protocol states when that happens to continue on the shots but up the calories until you stop losing.

If you reach your target weight before the end of the round, you still need to complete at least 23 injections. For the remainder of the time, increase calories to the amount needed to stop further losses. But keep to the food list for the rest of the time. Transition to P3 as normal.

Colleen and Leez, thank you for explanation.

i wonder if you have any words of wisdom regarding the following? (for some reason i can't post new thread on this forum, i am new).

i am 1 week on VLCD, losing 1 lbs daily on HCG drops.
I am going on a cruise coming Sat (unexpected deal), by Sat i will be down 10 lbs, 10 more to go.

What should i do? try to continue P2 through cruise or
is there any OTHER way out?
    thank you!

You're in a hard place. I don't think you can follow the protocol very easily on a cruise yet it's too early to stop and keep your losses. You actually can't count on being down 10 pounds by Saturday. The losses generally slow after the first week, just FYI. But there is no easy answer here. Your round is probably toast, I'm sorry to say. If it were me, I'd simply stop and realize I'll likely regain it all then do it when I can actually complete a round properly.

    Thanks Grammy -
    just wondering,
if i continue HCG, increase intake from 500 to 750cal , follow food list, no cheats (just to maintain and maybe gain somewhat)
but after i am back continue HCG till 40 days are over and i reach my goal.
My objective here - avoid doing another round with loading phase. I would prefer stall/gain a bit vs. starting all over later.
    What do you think?
    thank you

You can try that but cruises are a really hard place to try to eat on protocol. But you can certainly try it.
