    Talk to me about turnips Phase2? Phase 3?

    HELP

    Tired of eating the same stuff... almost done with P2 in three days or so P3 getting my food list ready

    I do believe they are a starchy vegetable not suitable for either P2 or P3.

    I realize the toll this diet can take on one psychologically. But then again, so did the fatness that got you on this diet in the first place. It's these times you have to focus squarely on what you're getting, not what you're giving up. The term "comfort zone" is a misnomer. In fact, it's a very UNCOMFORTABLE place to be, people easily mistake "comfort" for "familiar".


    People waste AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF ENERGY AND EFFORT towards trying to bypass and circumvent their way around limits (put in place for good reason) to getting what they want. Is that what you're trying to do? Is this food on the list? No. Then why do you ask if it's ok to have? Look, I have fallen into that trap before, too. And have often paid for it in disappointment, frustration and heartache. This is experience, not self righteousness, talking. Which do you really want: to eat what you want OR to get the fat off of you? It helps to think of these set of rules not as an imprisonment but as a safety device to keep you safe and sound (like a seat belt), until you reach your "destination". Remind yourself that this period of time is NOT forever, it's just THREE MORE DAYS, you are capable of that. You didn't come that far just to sabotage it all, did you? After you stabilize in P3, you will be free of having to ever ask that question anymore.

    P.S. I hope you realize that entering phase 3 is NOT going to be some dramatic shift, but a gradual EASING INTO. I made that mistake on my 1st round. The day I entered P3, I practically fell face first onto a juicy ribeye and I gained 5 pounds that week and all the apple/steak days did was take 2 off. Maintenance phase put everything I lost BACK ON in a slow creep even while eating moderately and mindfully on smaller portions/reduced appetite! It was a real shart in the symphony if you know what I mean! 😖
