This is why I made the statement that thin people get diabetes too, it was in response to your post above. I have 2 brother in laws that have never been overweight and both have Type 2 Diabetes. I appreciate your opinion but I think I would prefer to take advice from my doctor and the people that have Type 2 Diabetes and are successful at controlling it with diet. I was on HCG P2 when I had the blood work done which shows my A1C test at 6.4% so obviously it is not a good diet for me to follow if I want to control my blood sugar levels.
Also, the HCG protocol for P2 is that you eat 2 meals a day but if you would like you can eat the fruit and/or bread stick as a snack between meals. I just found out that diabetics should never eat fruit alone and it should always be eaten with a meal. Apparently it spikes your blood sugar. Losing fat does not eliminate diabetes, in my case I have a strong family history of diabetes and my pancreas is most likely just not producing as much insulin as it used to. My doctor said it will most likely continue to decrease it's insulin production and even with diet and exercise I may have to take medication anyway.
In the literature that my doctor gave me states the most common myths about diabetes and the number 2 myth was "It's your own fault that you have diabetes". Eating and activity choices play a role in controlling blood sugar but it's not the whole story.
Great news, Elena! Way to make it through the holidays!
I dropped 2.3 on my correction day so I'm back down to a pound above LIW. I swear this is a good sign of stability.
One day at a time
3 Rounds HCG, 28 days FMD
FMD Net +0.4
Experiment month 1: +2.1 - Inflammation in week 4
Experiment month 2: +2.2 - Inflammation two weeks, finally under control last 2
Experiment month 3: Week 1, -1.8 (exercise program FMD P2 and P3 eating - skipping P1 because of gaining and not feeling great on it.)
I'm happy to report that we went to the Dr today and saw our little baby's heartbeat on an ultrasound! Strong and fast at 150! I'm also happy to report that I am within 2 lbs of LDW (shockingly)! And I will now stop highjacking this weight loss thread with pregnancy updates!
Fergy, for whatever it's worth, I agree with the South Beach Diet approach - I've followed it before and if I ever cheated, I would immediately feel the impact on my blood sugar levels and feel like total crap! If you stick to it with the right foods, I am sure it would help control your blood sugar levels. Good luck and best wishes!
Good morning,i hope everyone had a wonderful christmas.
coming back from holiday PI up 2.5 this morning, and ready to get back ,and get to my first mini goal.
happy losing
Welcome back Gr8! Good luck with the 2.5!
well my planned interruption is over starting tomorrow..this round i am so disappointed in myself. I completely fell off the wagon and im up 6 pounds from my liw.. total losses was only 11 pounds this round..super bloated, tired.. i just had too much of a good time over the holidays.. didnt weigh daily.. i just got too comfortable and i know better. But onward and upward.. looking forward to starting again cause im about sick of food.
whew, down 1.5 this morning ,so 1 away from pre-PI,then back to losing to goal.
those others that had some gain over the holidays, hang in there,we can do it!
Hey all, I'm giving up on this round 3 days early. I'm happy that I lost 10 pounds, but upset that I only made it halfway to goal. It's all my head, not the HCG's fault. I won't do this around the holidays again. There's just too much going on. I have 3 days of injections left and was up .8 this morning, so I'll count yesterday as my LIW and go from there.
I'm going to do the cleanest, slowest P3 ever, then my next load day should be Valentine's Day. Perfect timing.I just hope I can get through the next 6 weeks with my pants still slightly tight. Is there a dedicated P3 thread for us?
Good luck to Gr8 and 2012gp and those of you coming back after your interruptions! Hoping for a strong finish. Lyanne, hope P3 goes smoothly for you. If you find that P3 thread let us know. I know I will need lots of help with P3. So many people not stabilizing has me very worried for this P3. It seems there is just something different about R2, whether it is slower losses, or harder stabilization, I am nervous. But I'm just a nervous person, I have felt nervous about every step of this protocol and done pretty well so... I just like to learn about everyone else's prior experiences and wonder where I will fit in, lol.
I am pretty happy bc after a stall week last week, I have lost 3.2 lbs in the last 4 days. Everyone seems to really be commenting on the loss as you can really see it in my face so that is nice. I still have a way to go. So close to the next decade of numbers on the scale, I hope I hit it in the next 17 days!! I really want to lose at least 20 for this round and I am at 16.8! I think I can, I think I can!
Wishing you all the best!
