    Hello ladies!
Sorry I have been mia, but man have I been busy. Between all the training, seminars, meetings, setting up my classroom, and spending time with my family, I haven't had much time to do anything else. I can't believe how busy I have been. Of course, I haven't been on track with losing weight again. It is one last thing I want to worry about. I am mad at myself for letting myself gain again--I'm holding steady at 145. I have been eating all types of food, but I will admit that I am mindful of how much. I don't want to keep gaining, so I try my best not to overeat. But I have been eating all those things I swore not to eat (or at least not often). So, I doubt I will lose even half of what I gained before my next round, so I will suck it up and probably have to do 2 more rounds instead of 1. I'm just so disappointed with myself--I can't seem to give up carbs again!! I still workout, but have only been going 2-3 times a week. I had meet the teacher night last week and Monday is my first day teaching!! Exciting and scary. Hoping that after about 2 weeks, I should be in a routine at school and can get back on track with my eating. In the meantime, I have too much going on to add another stressor.

Julz: I'm glad you keep posting. I think it's a great way to keep on track. Once I stop posting, I noticed I tend to see my numbers go up.

Crystal: I'm there with you. I hate, hate, hate the way I let the weight creep up, but I think we need to give ourselves a little break, and not be too hard on ourselves. We CAN get back on track. We just CANNOT keep beating ourselves up for this. I am on board with Faithful, if we have lost the weight before, we CAN do it again. We just need to be in the right mindset to go on and do it again.

Moon: Tissue breaking down, I hope that's the bad tissue and not good tissue being affected. I keep saying I will fast on the weekends too, but keep failing to do so. It is just too hard. I'm so happy to hear that you are not angry or depressed. You totally have a great attitude. Whenever you gals are ready to start in September, I am in. That gives me a month to settle into my new demanding job

Faithful: I am afraid of getting to my comfortable set point! I hate how easily the pounds pile on. Isn't it amazing on how fast it happens, but it takes an eternity to reverse? But I KNOW you can do it again! We all can do it again!! we just need to get back on track. I feel the same way--I feel EVERYONE can see my weight gain and talk about how I regained it.

I keep asking my husband--can you see my gain? Can you see my extra jiggle again? He always tells me no, but finally said it is noticeable now last week. I tried on my "gauging" shorts, and they are tight!!! Between my husband agreeing that the gain is noticeable and my shorts being tight----I think that'w my wake up call. Need to get on track before it gets any worse.
May be back here later---off to finish up my lesson plans for the week.

Hi ladies, well it was a busy weekend for me. My fiancé went camping for his bachelor party so I ran errands and did wedding related stuff, and went to a friends BBQ. I gained after my SD back up to wear I seem to keep popping back to. I want to see if I can stay stable here. If I keep gaining then I'll reassess my food, but I think this may be a set point that my body is going back to. It's the weight I was when I met my fiancé and then was LDW for two previous rounds. Yesterday and Friday I didn't eat anything suspect after the SD so I will see what happens if I don't keep fighting this.

Moon sorry to hear about the additional health problems you're having on top of everything! Maybe you can use the knee replacement as your motivator to lose and stay on track.

Faithful sorry to hear of your gain. I know how you feel. I put on quite a bit eating whatever I wanted after my broken ankle. I know most people don't truly notice, but it's hard to ignore that they might be. At least you know you have a way to lose again.

Lopez good to hear from you again. At least you're holding steady even if its not where you want to be. I know it's hard thinking you'll need to do 2 more rounds

Hi everyone. I feel sheepish. I fell off track because of the accident, family visit and wedding planning. Just wanted to say hi now that things are calm again. I haven't even been lurking. I am still maintaining and will be starting another round soon. My goal is shot but I can still try and lose as much as I can until wedding. So, long story short, I am okay and thank you all for asking how I am doing a few weeks ago when I was still trying to lurk.

I will try to pop back in when I can. School starting soon and bf away for work again. 12 hour shifts this week too.

Chi don't feel sheepish most if not all of us have been there and fallen off track one way or another. Glad you checked in. The wedding is next month right? Keep us posted!!

AFM I am sitting at LDW +5.5, going to see how things go with this weight. I am up.5 from yesterday's weight but that was with sleeping an extra hour and a half, so I think the .5 is about right. Maybe my body just likes this weight for now, and I honestly don't feel bad at this weight. Sizes are still the same etc, so I am thinking about going this week and then adding exercise next week.

Exclamation Can't get the EXCLAMATION OFF!

Chi! So glad to hear from you again. All of us at one time or another have fallen off the forum, but we most times come back like the Energizer Bunny! A few have met their goals and go on with their life, which we should see as a good thing, encouraging us to keep at it. Some get discouraged and leave. I am happy you have checked in to see what's going on. The summer time has bitten a bunch of us in the butt! Well, we have let it happen. Several are looking to September to start another round. I am thinking late September. Actually I would like to count backward from Thanksgiving 40 days to allow myself to at least be in P3 for that day. Anyone got the time?

Lope, I well know the before school crush of the teacher's life! Many of my best friends have been teachers. I hope your school system at least pays for supplies that you need. NC is low on the list of school systems that pay well, PERIOD! But with sales and some minor reimbursements the savvy teacher gets the job done with minimal out of pocket expenses. This economy doesn't support creativity in the supplies department. Hey, let's get rid of a tier of administrators and just focus on the teachers needs to get the job done! OOPS! Political Pimple Outbreak! Sorry. Post when you can and stay with us, OK?

Faithful and Crystal, (I have missed you two!) Wanna come along with me on a NO sugar/bread/grains week? Let's see what kind of damage we can do! I'm afraid to do it alone.....

Julz, I also think you might be at a set point that is making it harder to get past it. Can you live at this point? Of course, it means no cheating from here on out to stay here, or you can try to get past it before the wedding. Have you got the energy to do that with all that you have to do before then? Just saying............ don't set yourself up for unrealistic expectations before the wedding (and wedding trip?). You will want to enjoy yourself and not hate yourself in the morning, so to speak!

AFM........ I was 231.4 this morning! OMGosh! I have not taken my fluid pill in two days, so I expect to loose a couple of pounds tomorrow, but I have to say, I think the pass on consumption of sweets and carbs is over. Nice while it lasted. Today I had two eggs with HWC scrambled in butter. It didn't taste great because my taste is still off from chemo. But NO CARBS! I will have peaches and for dinner will probably have Baked Chicken and maybe (NOT likely) Cauliflower mock potato salad. Yummy! So today is no starches, sugar outside of fruit, but maybe some peaches with almond flavored whipped cream for desert. Now, that sounds yummy to me. Let's see if I can do it.

I will soon change my signature to reflect gains and make the goal the return to LDW. Got to get there if I can before starting HCG again.

    YOU HAVE JUST BEEN MOONED!!

Moon good to hear from you, good luck with your no carb day. It's hard to get back to after a while of indulging! Hope you see a drop of fluid and weight!

As far as this weight I'm perfectly fine here actually. My original goal when I started this was 165, so I'm pretty dang close! I got my dress when I was this size and have tried it on being a few lbs heavier and it fit fine. I'm not going to try to lose anymore, but will just try to tone up. I've got too much going on and would like to just stay stable here. It makes the weigh ins easier knowing I'm not going to fight for 162

YAY! Looks like we are getting the old gang back!
Welcome back Chimonkey! So glad to hear from you!!! The bumps in the road are tough to handle, but some how we seem to make it through.

Julz: I'm glad to hear you're not stressing over LDW. A few pounds gained back is usually just water weight when carbs are introduced and increased food volume after P2. You are doing great! I'm glad your dress still fits well; one less thing to worry about on the big day! I'm sure you will be a beautiful bride!

Lopezeucr I always LOVED back to school time! Crisp notebooks, cool folders, and the smell of a new box of Crayola crayons! *goosebumps* What grade do you teach? Hopeful you will fall into a routine quickly and the food also.

Moonbeam Yes! Let's cut sugar and starch effective immediately! Actually, I started 3 days ago, which is 100 days before my birthday. I really need to get off some of this excess weight and I figured it would make a good b-day gift to myself. So far I'm down 2.4 pounds and sitting at 180 even. I am hesitant to even mention this new scheme of mine. Previously, I've had lots of good plans and intentions, but just can't stay committed Hopefully, this time will be different.

BTW, 40 days before Thanksgiving is October 19th. Here is a neat online calculator to figure it out http://www.timeanddate.com/date/date...&am=&aw=&ad=40

Crystalmama: Please check in when you get a opportunity. When do your kids start back to school?
I've been doing some occasional exercise, but forgot to log it to the ticker... oops!

AFM, I am extra tired! Our cat has gone missing and I've been losing sleep over it. I've been (im)patiently listening for a meow or scratch at the door. I keep praying he comes home soon! So far I have avoided stress eating and late night binges. I'm trying to think about this on a conscious level and ask myself, "Am I REALLY hungry?" and "Is shoveling ice cream in my face going to make the cat come home any faster?" No and NO!

Faithful good luck cutting things out, glad you saw a drop! I really hope your cat comes home soon!

AFM I am in a little bit of a panic mode. I gained again today Sunday we went out to eat and I had a salad, it had croutons but they were all crumbled so inevitably I did eat some because I couldn't pick it all off, I also had some Fage and added unsweetened coconut. Not sue rid any of those could be a factor or what. I'll cut them out and am also reducing my dairy intake to just HWC. I cut my homemade ranch for my salad at lunch and will use vinegar and oil. I don't think dairy is an issue because of the patterns I've seen, but maybe it's the yogurt from Sunday. Trying to just do a clean day as they say with high fat.
Bfast: 3 eggs with butter and half an avocado, coffee with HWC.
Lunch: Salad with mushrooms, cucumbers, and oil and vinegar.
    Dinner: Salmon and veggies

    Cross your fingers!

    Good Morning, Gang!
Gotta run today............. but I did it! I stayed carb free all day. Well, no sugar, no starch. Also the fluid is coming off. I am 227.4 today. Yay!
Faithful, stay strong. We can do this thing! I am sorry about your kitty. One of ours disappeared on year also. My heart aches for the pain you are feeling.
Yes, I do believe pets go to heaven. Cornelius "and his household" .................. remember? Pets figured highly in the households back then!
As far a October 19 goes......... maybe we should have been in P3 a bit longer, huh? Thanks for the date, so if we do 40 days starting Sept 19th.....YIKES THAT IS SOON!
    What do you think?

Gotta fly bye today, going to visit my friend today before radiation. Today and tomorrow will not likely be carb free, but I believe I can make it sugar free. This friend fasts two days every week! She is my "adopted" daughter. More later.

    Make it a great day!!!

    Good Morning!
As expected I did not stay carb/sugar free yesterday, but I still lost another pound. 226.4 today. Had a dinner to attend last night, so I ate in MODERATION!! Don't ask me where the motivation is coming from. I'm really not tasting things like I used to but also, I am just sick of over eating and indulging............ this week. Let's see if it lasts. Today I am going out to lunch with several women who are getting radiation with me. We have formed a little support group in a way. After our treatments we sometimes sit around and visit, sharing stories. Kinda nice. I will try to get a sandwich tonight. Tomorrow I will do another NO carb/sugar day and see what happens.

Stay strong everyone! The Fall is coming!

Fly by post, still at 169.2 and 6.8 over LDW. Not sure what to think. Considering saying 168 is LDW and then using that to base SDs on. We shall see. I did set myself up for failure yesterday by bringing such a light lunch. I had Mac nuts in my desk so added those, will see what tomorrow brings. If I don't see a gain maybe that means this is just a set point.

I'm also on amitriptyline for headaches now which can cause increased appetite resulting in weight gain. I was in a panic reading online forums, people saying they gained without changing their diet, but Iluvkats on this board said its due to increased appetite. If I can watch it then I should be ok. Just taking it one day at a time.

Hi ladies, I'm up again .9. This could be the second day gain from having macadamia nuts which I thought might be an issue. Doing a steak day today and will go from there. Maybe it's the nut gain and my body wants this higher set point as well? I hope so I'm just experimenting here to see what happens. Won't be adding macadamia nuts again at least for a long time. If I can stay under 170 I think I'll be ok, thus the need for the steak day today.
