    VLCD 22 nauseous and headaches

I drink plenty of water, but for some reason, I'm nauseous more often and my urine is getting darker.... I know it has to be this diet. Anyone know what this means or have you experienced this before?

That doesn't sound good. Especially if you are drinking the recommended 2 litres of water a day.

Is it possible you might have a urinary tract infection? That could cause dark urine. If the color is brown it could be more serious.

I don't think its that. It doesn't happen all of the time, but It seems to be only in the morning. I have been losing weight much faster lately. I will soon be on my fourth week and I am suddenly losing 1.5 to 2.5 lbs a day. I just thought it might be ketosis or a release of fat... I don't know, I guess it could be something else wrong...

You might try adding some fresh ginger or ginger juice and lemon to your water. That might help with the nausea. Also peppermint tea may help. If you are too nauseous to drink, smelling a cut lemon or diffusing some peppermint essential oil fragrance can help.

Other than the nausea, do you feel ok overall?

I had an exam of my urinary tract once that showed I was recovering from a UTI. I had experienced no symptoms, so its possible to have one and not be aware of it.

Thank you for that information. I do feel fine other than the nausea. My husband is also on this diet as well, and he has experienced similar things, but he just thinks we are both drinking too much Milo's sugar free ice tea... lol. If it continues I will get checked out just to be on the safe side.... But I am thrilled I am losing at such a fast rate....

Doesn't Milo's use splenda to sweeten? If you are drinking a lot of it, the splenda might be causing you some problems. Splenda has been connected with stomach upsets for some. Just a thought.

I would love to have those kinds of losses that far into a round. For me, after the first week, my losses are all dribs and drabs, with a very occasional 1 pounder.

Yeah, it is full of splenda.... Its my guilty pleasure that keeps me on track. The only thing I have changed the last couple of days that may have affected my losses, is that I cut out my melba toast and one of my fruits. I pray I keep losing at this rate.
