Awesome, Lydia! I'm glad the LR working for you. I just love being able to eat such a massive amount of food for breakfast.

Tangle, come out come out wherever you are...how is it going for you?

I'm with you Laura, the amount of meat I have been eating is crazy and it's expensive. I just bought a huge ham and a pork roast and split them up. I had half of one in the crock pot all day and just sat down and ate it. All of it. Whoops. And since all I had for breakfast was ham, I suppose I accidentally did a protein day. I was making spooky goodies with the kids all day for their school Halloween parties. I'm not usually very crafty, but check these suckers out!

The Oreos are Mama's, and dipped in coffee are just too freakin good. Kids ended up eating most of them, though. Ohh well! Those snakes were harder to make than they look!

Morning Gang! I had a busy weekend with my kiddos. Friday night I took them to paint pottery at local store. They love doing that stuff. Saturday the oldest had 2 softball games and my dad and grandparents came for one game and then left. Then we rushed up and dressed up the kiddos for 2 parties. They looked great, but nearly froze at the first one since it was outside. Then we hung out most of the night with good friends and I managed not to have a single sweet snack, just some pork I shouldn't have had and some cheese. I had had some Cocoa Crack that morning before ball games, hoping to keep the sweet tooth at bay. Yesterday the girls and I slept late, DH works on Sunday. I worked most the day on their school treats. Nothing as fancy as your food stuff... I didn't want to be tempted, so mine are more craft than snack. After DH got home, we ran to a friend's church to watch my SIL and her girls do a bit of the special music for 5th Sunday singing. It was a very nice weekend.

Since I weighed in much later both Sat (150.9) and Sun (151.5), my weight is up a bit this morning from LDW(151.3) at 151.7 , but not a lot, so I don't care one bit. DH and I both had Ribeye for breakfast. It was so good, a couple of eggs each, just to be sure we bordered on the full side and highest protien number. Didn't want DH complaining later about his new lack of snacks. I had some Cocoa Crack too. I made it last night. I have a cute trick, I will share in case anyone wants to try it. A long time ago, I bought those microwaveable little bite sized brownie mixes for the girls. I saved the little trays they came with and I will put some shredded coconut in them and then put a few spoonfuls of the Crack over them and freeze. They are perfect bite sizes and they pop right out of the trays like ice cubes. Guessing you could really use ice trays for the same effect, if anyone still has ice trays. LOL!

So today is Day 1 P3 and LR. Going to start DH off slower than I want to since we had already got a few things for P3 that are now off the list for LR. I figure I will give him a week to get them out of them out of the house and we just won't by more. He is a huge fan of hot sauce/salsa, but his HDL is way low and needs to get of the tomatoes. I asked to just give it a try a for a few weeks and see if the other issues I know he has subside without eating them. He also wanted some cottage cheese and we still have some almonds in the house. So we will see how it goes. I shop again on Thursday or Friday and I will find better options for him. He has tons of brussel sprouts and broc/cheese frozen things to have with dinner. I just need to get us more meat at that point and I will need to grab some extra eggs and salad tonight really.

After work tonight we are going to visit friends and trick or treat in their neighborhood while the adults take turns visiting. My kids aren't really into the door to door stuff. I could just buy them each a bag of something and call it a night, but I want to show off their costumes to a few more people.

Day 2 P3 and LR. So far so good I think. I am up a little, less than 1 lb from LDW and DH is still below LDW. We had 3 eggs each and pork chop this morning. And I had some Cocoa Crack. Had fun with kiddos last night and didn't indulge in anything after dinner at home before heading out and having a few pieces of Cocoa Crack at the end of dinner probably helped too. Going to have to get more Coconut Oil for sure and eggs tonight actually. I am sitting here at 12:15 and not really hungry yet, so that is a good thing. DH is on his way to lunch, but not starving, but never willing to miss the meal either. So I am encouraging him to still eat lighter than he might think normal. Considering that he only has to make it till 6 to have dinner. I am not as cold as I was, but asked around a bit too and supposedly the office just isn't as cold in general, so I can't say that it is me for sure yet.

Would love to hear how everyone else is doing so far!

Hi Ya'll! Hope you had a great Halloween weekend. I had fun. Sunday was my birthday and I had two celebrations, including a dinner with best girlfriends; so great. Too much eating for my first days of P3, though, and I'm up 3 lbs in 4 days. I usually go up 1-2 lbs in P3, but I did over-indulge with parties. Ah well, eating clean today and will hope to get back down soon. TOM is due anytime, too, though I don't feel my usual symptoms yet.

I'm not sure about the Leptin reset. I was planning to start it today. Was practicing the BAB and eating only three meals and I'm not liking it. Seem like too much food in the morning. I prefer to eat when I'm hungry. I don't know. I may just do a few weeks of straight P3 like I used to do it and then see how I feel about trying the reset again.

Laura, I am in the same boat. I'm up 4 lbs in 3 days and don't know why. Very frustrating. Trying to eat what I was eating the days I lost last week and hoping that helps. Can't do a steak day any time soon...life too complicated this week!

Morning Gang, well I am up again this morning, but I have a good idea why. Had an overly heavy dinner really and a large cup of tea before bed. Still under 2 lb LDW range, but just barely. DH was up 1 lb today, but that just puts him at LDW, so that is ok. I will do better today. I was experimenting yesterday and obviously, not my best work. Breakfast was harder this morning. I didn't want to get up to cook it. So I think I am going to work on fixing a few things that I can I just warm up a few days a week and not cook every morning. Egg and sausage muffins will probably do the trick. And some hard boiled eggs and pre cook some bacon. I am not sure I will be one of those people that eat chicken or fish for breakfast any time soon. It just sounds wrong. So here is to a better cleaner day!

Lydia, thanks for comiserating. Ugh. I'm up another .8 today. That's 4 lbs gained in my first 5 days of P3. And I ate pretty clean yesterday, in reasonable amounts. At 138.8, I'm the same weight as at the end of P2 week 1. Argh!!! I don't know. I'm going to give it a couple more days, but maybe I need to cycle back into P2 and be more careful going into P3 next time?

Hey girlies, sorry to hear about the gains. No worries, it'll come off. The scale has actually been pretty nice to me. I have noticed that when I have a BAB and BAS with minimal snacking the scale goes down the next day. Yesterday I upped my coconut oil to 4-5 tablespoons and out of curiosity plugged my day into a food tracker and was a bit surprised when it came up that I had eaten 2134 calories and 191 grams of fat. Yikes. I was down 1.4 pounds this morning. My body is a mystery to me. Might run that through another program and see if it comes up the same. Could be right, I did have a 12 ounce rib-eye for dinner last night and 4 tablespoons of co is over 500 calories...I think. I don't pay much attention to calories.

Tangle, I need breakfast food for breakfast, too. I recently bought a big package of ground pork and cooked up a bunch of 4 ounce patties that I keep in the fridge. In the morning I throw one in the pan with my eggs and make a flax muffin while they cook. It only takes a few minutes, easy peasy. Egg and sausage muffins sound good, I might make some of those myself.

Laura, are you maybe reacting to something in particular that you're eating? Water intake okay? That's a bummer, I know it's frustrating. Have you tried a correction day?

I think I am going to cut back on the eggs a few days... between bacon and steak I can manage my protein. Or at least try to rotate it around. You are making a flax meal muffin? What is your recipe? I have been wanting something bread or muffin like with my eggs but haven't gotten around to trying to make anything. Tried a minute muffin at lunch today with coconut flour and I have done this before, but today it turned out pretty bad. Bitter and not remotely sweet enough for the craving I had. I need to get more coconut oil. Only have a few tablespoons left I think. And so after attempting the dang muffin... I am way high on calories, though still fine on carbs... but pretty full. Had DH put a brisket in the oven, but not sure it is going to be done in time for dinner...he got a late start on it. So I may go real easy on dinner tonight and drink a smooth move tea for good measure.

I can't make the sausage patties and like them, but I cook up the ground pork like "crumbles" and like it in an omlet. Thing is that I don't want an omlet without cheese.. period. So guess I need to my act together and get over cheese.

Candace, I'm glad the BAB and BAS are working for you. I'm up another lb today: 5 lbs up in 6 days. Worst stabilization track record to date. Going to do a modified steak day today. May try the BAB and BAS later. Too much dairy? Cutting that out for now. Trying not to panic.

Tangle, it's a minute muffin...1/4 cup of flax, an egg, 2 tbsp butter, dash of cream, bit of Splenda, microwaved for a minute. I use it to sop up my dippy eggs and whatever is left on my plate Or I'll add a tablespoon or two of cocoa and then it's cake...or add pumpkin and top with pumpkin spice cream cheese...I love flax.

Wow Laura those are fast gains. Definitely could be the dairy...I know when I have more than an ounce or so of cheese it always makes me gain, but I never have a problem with sour cream or yogurt. Maybe go back to P2 foods for a few days then slowly reintroduce things so you can find out what the sensitivity is?
