    Hi everyone.

I'm in the midst of my 3rd and supposedly final round. Round 1 was great, Round 2 was not good at all, Round 3 is going great so far. I was going to do a 30 day round this time but decided I might as well finish up the bottle of pellets since there won't be enough left for another full round if I ever have to do one and they would just be wasted. So I still have a couple weeks left of Phase 2 and around 9 pounds to go.

I'm one of the weirdos who actually loves Phase 2. I like the limited number of ingredients and the regimentation of the whole thing. I keep a big file of recipes in my computer and use lots of herbs and spices (some P2 recipes and pics here for anyone interested - P2 meals, recipes, pics). I cook my food a week at a time so it's easy to make lunch and dinner in a hurry instead of grabbing something 'bad'. I spread out my food throughout the day so I have a little something for breakfast and also for dessert or an evening snack. Food is an important part of my life so I never eat blah meals even in P2. I like my 'diet' food to be tasty and fresh, I use a small but pretty plate and a pretty dessert fork (makes the portions look bigger and I eat smaller bites), I drink my water out of a pretty glass, tea out of a pretty mug.

    Good luck and happy losing!!

Lydia: I use consciously use chants to accelerate change, so you've stumbled onto a powerful tool!

Angie: Aw, hon. Be gentle with yourself. You're not the first person to cheat with a sweet. I am sensitive to grains and when I just can't fight the craving, I eat a small amount of cocoa crack (butter, cocoa power and Truvia). The healthy fat doesn't seem to slow me down or stuff up my sinuses like grains do. Also, when I cheat with something counter-productive, I always ask myself, "Why am I self-sabotaging? Where am I feeling undeserving? Why do I believe I should feel bad about myself? Did I reach an upper limit of happiness/success and so I undermine that?" Tough questions, but usually enlightening. My self-sabotage has diminished, but I can still go there now and then. Hang in, girl. I cheated lots in R2 and R3 and still lost.

Candace: 14 days of my second round was a stall! Even though I lost only 10 lbs, I lost two pant sizes and felt more reshaping than any other round. So don't dismay. Stick to it and trust all is going according to your body's plan. Great book suggestions. Might want to share them on this thread: Book List
And that blog site with recipes is awesome! Thank you! I so appreciate the learning and support on this forum.

Jeep: Welcome! I like your style. Making meals aesthetically pleasing is a great way to self-nurture and enJOY life. Your shrimp dish looks fab!

Dice a semi-tart apple (I like fujis). Heat in a saucepan with juice of 1/2 lemon, ample cinnamon (up to 1 tsp) and stevia or truvia to taste. Dash of sea salt optional, just to enhance flavors. Cook until apples are hot and slightly soft, stirring so nothing burns. If you use Truvia, the sauce "carmelizes" and thickens as you stir. Soooo yummy and comforting this time of year!
Oh, thank you so much for this. I think I'm going to try this for breakfast tomorrow! It seems like I do better eating my fruit in the beginning of the day. Can't wait!

Angie--I also had a rough go this weekend and the scale has shown it. I'm back on track and sticking with protocol now. Some moments are just so difficult, but what Laura shared is so good. I think I'll be coming back to read that paragraph from time to time. I definitely have a history of self-sabotage when I am nearing a milestone weight. By the way, great losses for your first week! I hope you are feeling better this evening.

Jeep--you are definitely inspiring with your P2 cooking. I've enjoyed following your recipe thread. Glad to see you here!

Lydia--nice loss! And Hooray for spa pedicures!

Laura--your first week losses were great, too. Here's to another great week of losses! And thanks for being so thoughtful on encouraging on this thread. I love reading your comments to people, because they always speak to me.

CM--can't wait to hear how your P2 Fage Day goes. If you are successful, I'm going to be making a trip to the grocery store tomorrow for some Fage. I'm so tired of meat right now! But I'm making P2 Chili tonight, and that is my favorite meal!

Getting bare nekkid in the cold this morning to step on the scale was worth it when it told me I was down 3.4 pounds to now weigh 118.0. Gasp lol. I was shocked. I was not very optimistic about the yogurt day, but it seems it worked. Hopefully I'll be able to keep the loss and it won't rebound tomorrow. Tate, I posted the specifics of my day in my blog.

I'm going to be very careful with my food today, thinking I'll just stick to chicken. Maybe chicken soup for lunch, I'm so cold. I'm in sweats, a hoodie, and hubby's wool socks and I'm still cold. He says the temp is fine in here, that I have just lost all my insulation. My daughter is running around in a tee and panties, so maybe it is just me. Lol maybe tmi, but he told me something else that I found interesting. According to Justin, when snuggling up in bed together my butt was ALWAYS freezing cold, no matter what the temp was, but since losing weight I'm always warm all over. Wonder what that's about?

Anyway, happy losing girls, have a great day!

Morning Gang! Sorry for the extended absence, but my habit is to not post a lot on the weekends unless something major comes up. Busy with the kids and stuff all weekend. But I do want catch everyone up on the weekend, so you can see how I fared.

Saturday, we all slept as late as we could with our pending schedule for the day, so DH and I took our drops late and weighed in late on purpose. I had lost 1.1 and him 2 lbs. We set about our busy day. Kids to Lowe's, birthday presents to make and bake, etc. We had lunch at home and had a family dinner planned out a favorite resturant. Neither of us was looking forward to just a "chicken salad" but we were committed to it. We took our drops late that morning so that we wouldn't be due to take them again till after 8-9 pm. (We take 2 doses instead of 3 and just take larger doses and get the same quantity of drops in. Works better for our schedules.) So birthday party for my older daughter, got her there with stuff I was able to make. Baked a wonderful pumpkin dump cake for my MIL birthday dessert (I didn't make at party on Thursday, but wanted to get ingredients out of the way, so I decided to let the family try it.) DH said he wasn't talking to me anymore, since I made it and we couldn't have any. I also bought special cookies for my nephews birthday, which we planned to celebrate early with his grandmother's since we can't get together this week for his birthday. So tons of yummy treats but we resisted pretty well. We had a few little onion strings as the resturant calls them, not onion rings, because everyone else had those and DH felt very left out, so we opted to enjoy these onion things that came our salads. I had 0%Fage and strawberries for lunch to be sure I had more calories to spare too, since I figured the chicken would be more than I should have. Anyway, we came home and served all our desserts and didn't even lick my fingers while serving or packaging to send home the rest home with everyone. I also opted as a precaution to have a "Smooth Move" before bed too.

Sunday, I slept in, but DH had to work, so he was up that morning, but he expected to be, cause he ate more onions and a little dressing on his salad. He was up 1.9 lbs and I was down 1.9 lbs after sleeping in and "Smooth Move" adjustment.. as I call them. I hung out and behaved all day with my youngest daughter while oldest went to a friends for an all day playdate and sleepover (no school on Monday). Had 0% Fage and strawberries for lunch that day too for good measure and slightly more steak for dinner than is allowed.

Monday, I slept in again with my youngest. DH off to work. I took the day off cause I thought I would need to keep my oldest since she was out of school, but I didn't get her back from the sleepover till lunch. Which was my downfall for the weekend, but even it wasn't too bad. I was down .07 on Monday and DH down 1.5. Lunch ended up being at our favorite Mexican food joint. I did good in terms of doing bad I thought. I had fajitas (steak/shrimp) and shared with my girls. I just ate more than my fair share of the meat and ate all the veggies that came with them. I had them leave the guac and sour cream and cheese off and the girls eat the rice and beans. I avoided all chips and tortillas. But then for dinner I opted to cook taco meat. DH and I like to have the taco meat on salads during the week, it is a quick and easy lunch for us both. But double beef portions and the sodium caught up to me.

So today, I am up .04 lbs but I am not remotely worried. I am going to eat 0% Fage and strawberries for the day and it will be sorted out by tomorrow. I am still on schedule to lose enough without extending if all goes well. Few temptation events on the schedule this month, so all should be well.

So final report is that I have lost 16 lbs since starting. And DH has lost 13.4 so far. But please note that I am not even back to my LDW yet either. But I should be tomorrow. After that, I only want to lose 10 lbs. So all is well with me so far. I will check all the posts I missed and post other comments separately if I have anything helpful to add. Have a great day!

    Just a few High 5's!

CM - Funny notes about being cold. I am alot colder than I used to be. Run a heater at my desk, keep the fans off a lot at home or a blanket if others want them on. But I sweat more regardless... makes no sense. And congrats on Yogurt correction day results. Seems that combined with everything really worked for you. Fingers crossed it stays gone.

Tate - I like to take all natural applesauce and add vanilla stevia and cinnamon to it, it is makes a lovely dessert, since I am too lazy to cook during the week and try to stay out of the kitchen after dinner.

Jeep - liked all the recipes but not sure I can bring myself to eat cabbage. But I have managed to enjoy Miracle Noodles from time to time.

Laura - sounds like things are going smoothly so far lady! Have a great week!

Everyone else, sorry, I didn't make great notes, but welcome and hope you have a successful week!

Candace: Woot, woot, Woosh Fairy! So glad you dropped so much, to make up for gain/stall days. Must feel great to see those new digits on the scale. I get cold lately too. Usually when I'm overdue to eat, even if I don't feel hungry. I seem to warm up after I eat something. Meanwhile, sweaters!

    Tangle: Nice progress. Keep going!

I'm down .4 today. Only 5.4 from goal, so may be slow going from here out, but I'll be patient. Want to dip a little below goal for stabilization room. Doing a professional photo shoot this afternoon. Feeling great in my clothes! My 8Ps are loose and my 6Ps fit just right! Will post some photos later this week when I get them back. Off to farmer's market now to buy organic pastured beef, apples and tomatoes that I'm craving; I never would have guessed I'd end up loving tomatoes!

That's the great thing about experimenting - finding what works for each of us! I love cabbage, but gag at the very thought of miracle noodles. I have an iron stomach and will eat anything, but those things are just not for me. But it's been so much fun trying things.

Happy Hump Day everyone. I was in a staff retreat all day yesterday so no time to get on teh boards. Looks like y'all are doing gret!

Candace--Your fff results are amazing. I may have to try that if I get stuck close to goal. I am so impressed by your success. I'm 5'2" and at my heaviest was 210. Didn't lose it all on HCG but know how it feels to be small and carrying that much weight. You've done amazing! Congrats!

Laura--I'm jealous of the idea of having to slow down! I just want to speed up! I have a trip on the 22nd which will be day 18 of VLCD. I'd love to be at goal by then so I could slow down" for my trip and then slide into P3 when I get back, but I think I will still be a few lbs. short. The good news is that I have access to a kitchen and microwave on the trip so I can take food and try to stay 100% P2 the whole time, then start P3 shortly after I get home. If I can conquer the hunger issue (oh please oh please) then I might keep going a smidge. Haven't weighed 120 since my mid-20's. And that was for like 20 minutes before I started regaining!

Deni--I'm with you on the miracle noodles. Slimey!

AFMNo loss yesterday but a pound today. I'm happy with a .5/day average at this point and would be thrilled if I could finish week 2 with that average. My week 2's always suck. And I am suffering with hunger in a big way. I upped my dose a lot a couple of days ago and was ready to start eating the small children in my house by the end of the day. Skipped a dose yesterday then switched to pellets. Had about 6 delightful hunger-free hours before it kicked back in last night and remains this morning. Sigh. This would be so much easier fi I weren't starving all the time!
    VLCD1: 8/12
    Round: Too many to count
    Phase: 2
Method: Switched to injections from drops on 9/7

    Goal for this round:

    Overall goal somewhere under 135...

I know im a little late to this tread, but I loaded this last weekend ( oct 8th and 9th) after a bad start to vlcd 1 I had a good vlcd2 ( that I am considering day 1, lol) This is my 2nd round and hopefully last. I have 10 pounds real weight but gained a ton during loading that threw off my mental game. I hope onece its off, I can feel better and have my mind back on my goal. I feel a little less motivated this round and I really hope that goes away and I can take each day by day. Im woried if I mess up that ill gain back my weight loss from round 1! That would be awful. Ill be posted on here every once in awhile, hope everyone has a great round!!!

i forgot to ask about the fage... I used it in round 1 for a 2% fage day and I loved it. I ate so much fage in p3..it really really helps and is so good with cinn and stevia ..or a bit of splenda in p3 When you guys do a fff do you use 0 or 2%? I have only used 2% last round, but I have tried the fat free in p4 and p3. But in p2, I did 3 6oz ( noon, 4pm and 8pm) as my melas for the day. A few stawberries in it and it comes to about 500 cal im sure. how do you guys do it? I think im doing one this weekend...

  12. #72
Welcome, Em! For my fff day I used 7 ounces of 2% for my first meal, and split 17 ounces of 0% for the next two meals.

Well ladies, my wonderful 3.4 pound yogurt loss was temporary. I was up 1.6 today to 119.6. I'm happy that I got to keep half my loss, but still frustrated. I already ranted on my blog this morning, so I won't do it again here Hopefully things will get moving.

Tate, let me know how you fare on the scale tomorrow! Hopefully your fff 2lbs stays lost!

But I am still under 120, which means DH owes me a tattoo! When I started, my (then) goal was 120 pounds. At over 200, it seemed so distant and far away...but the deal was that when I got to goal DH and I would go get the matching tattoos that I want. There is a Celtic symbol for 'everlasting love' called the serch bythol, and I want it. Financially it will have to wait until after Christmas, but damnit I earned it! I would also like to get tattoos representing my children, but I have no idea what. I would have to sit down with an artist and work something out.

I need to go find some busywork and try to get out of this funk. I hope your scales were nicer than mine this morning, Have a great day!

    -Candace
