I guess I thought I could just get a little casual about things and I would be ok. So I had a little banana bread that I made for my kids, a few glasses of wine one night while socializing, a few restaurant meals (that were not off protocol, but probably too high in calories). I skipped weighing myself for 3 days and now this morning I'm up 4 pounds from my last injection weight. How depressing. I'm so mad at myself. I feel myself falling into that reckless pit where I just throw up my hands in despair, open up the bag of chips, and pour the wine. I need to get back on track FAST! So...apple day? Steak day? Any tips/motivation/inspiration would be most appreciated!
    Steak day!

I was exactly 2 pounds up yesterday after a restaurant omelet meal on Friday. I did a high fat, low carb day yesterday and dropped 1.2 this morning. So back in range.

It's probably not the calories but something that you're sensitive to. That's why we weigh daily to see which day we are up. If we see up we analyze what new food we ate and stay away from it until we can test it again. That's part of adding only 1 or 2 new foods at a time or else it's too difficult to pinpoint.

Banana bread unless it was made with no sugar and made with nut or coconut flour is not on P3. Any starches/sugars wait until P4.

I know that I can't eat eggs or coconut oil without gaining. It's a learning process. This is my second round.

Thanks so much for your insight. It is amazing to me how sensitive my body is to the foods that are off the P2 protocol. My first cheat was with literally 2 small bites of the banana bread - and that was really just to see if it was edible - I had made some substitutions in the recipe and wanted to see how the texture was. That evening I was bloated and gassy. Then I had some Thai takeout - no rice or noodles, just chicken, shrimp, veggies - but the stir fry sauce probably had gluten, soy, maybe sugar.... So I know I totally messed up on being able to identify exactly what food(s) I am particularly sensitive to. A real lost opportunity, I know.
So I will take your advice and do the steak day today - and get some food prepared for the next several days so I'm not so vulnerable to cravings. Thanks again for your input!

We have a thread in the P3 forum called P3 and Beyond. Please come join us there. You'll see that what you are experiencing isn't that uncommon. It might be good support for you. I'm on P3D16 today.
