    Thanks Karen,
Would you believe we have bought our own tubes and frequently go to the river!!!!
    Kids love it.
I am going to see if I can ramp up the workout intensities and see if this works, if not, I am going to "Reset" my LIW to 189 and move forward.
I have been extremely stable at this level, just not at 185.
Today was my last day on P3 and have no clue what I will start adding in tomorrow. Probably watermelon since my daughter just bought a couple.
Maybe some oatmeal added to my eggs.
    Will see.

Hi all, Hope your all having a wonderful week! My scale remained the same today, but I was expecting a slight gain.....I indulged in some sweet treats last night with my grandkids, I knew when I was eatin it that I shouldn't but I couldn't stop my self as it tasted soooo good! So clean again today, I am starting to have issues of hunger, and I think that has a lot to do with not staying on track. Had some smooth move tea last night, that stuff works miracles, and maybe that is why I didn't suffer another gain last night?
I will check back in later!

Good morning! Karen, I'm keeping my eye out for a good deal on a Suddenly Slender (or similar) body wrap for some tightening around my middle, especially. If you try it, Gary, do let us know the results. I'll bet you'd have to wear nothing over a size 32 waist and not look back!

I am thrilled to report that I am down a whole 1lb today! Now, six pounds to goal! How exciting!
I'm a little late for my exercising this morning so I'd better get to it, now. See ya!

When we got to LA Kachse had brought me some of her pound cake and it was so delicious!!!! You could not tell that it was a "diet" food and was P3 friendly at Net carbs 3. Try it you will like it. I think that thinly sliced with layers of whipped cream and strawberries it would be a great and beautiful presentation not to mention taste.

Up .6 but still under my two pound limit. Had a grilled cheese sandwich late last night. Then spent the next two hours cleaning the basement again (this time the sump pump had turned off) from the heavy rains. Thank God my shoulder is so much better because next week, when the cold is over with, I will have to tackle doing the basement. USAA will pay for any damage that we have had so I need to start going through all of the boxes. Now when I say boxes I mean about 10,000 pounds worth as that is where all my things are that were packed and stored while we were overseas. Not looking forward to this at all and must remember to take it slowly so that I don't re injure my shoulder. Opened one box last night that had toppled over and found my second laptop, ruined now due to the rain. Thank fully USAA covers everything.

Still shows more rain for the next few days. Many roads here have been closed. My youngest son went out early this morning to help a friend who was stuck but was unable to get to him due to the road closure. I will be glad when it stops and starts to dry out. Just think that if this had been in the winter how much snow we would have received!!!!

Have a great day all and talk later. KAREN

HunnyB: Did you add the mango inthe protein shake? Maybe the tropical fruits were the problem.

Karen: You have a lot of work ahead of you next week! Get well first, though. What a blessing that USAA will take care of it all. Now about that pound cake... Is the recipe in the HCG cookbook? What sweetener did she use?

I used the one from the website Karen mentioned awhile back http://www.genaw.com (under recipes/desserts/pound cake). I tried it yesterday with Coconut flour. it was awful! It had the consistency of home made pie dough. So i added about 1 cup of water to thin it out. It still came out crumbly and not very tasty.

    POUND CAKE
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup granular Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda
    5 eggs, room temperature
    1 teaspoon lemon extract
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    6 1/2 ounces almond flour, 1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons
    1 teaspoon baking powder

Cream the butter, cream cheese and Splenda with an electric mixer. Add the eggs, one at a time; blend in the extracts. Mix the almond flour and baking powder; add to the egg mixture a little at a time. Pour into a greased 9-inch round cake pan. Bake at 350º 50-55 minutes. I suggest checking the cake after 40 minutes or so because mine was done in less than 45 minutes. The cake will be golden brown and firm to the touch when done.

    Makes 8 servings
    Can be frozen

    With granular Splenda:
Per Serving: 346 Calories; 31g Fat; 10g Protein; 9g Carbohydrate; 3g Dietary Fiber; 6g Net Carbs

    With liquid Splenda:
Per Serving: 334 Calories; 31g Fat; 10g Protein; 6g Carbohydrate; 3g Dietary Fiber; 3g Net Carbs

    Round 1 (-15.0)
    R2P2W1 (-10.4) ..not too shabby!
    R2P2W2 (-1.0) @ 156.2
    R2P2W3 (-2.8) @ 153.4
    R2P2W4 (+ .2 lbs) @ 153.6
    R2P2W4 (-3.2) @ 150.4
    R2P2W5 = (+1.6) @ 152

    R2P2D42= -1.8

On the last day of P3, I have decided to change my LIW weight up 4 lbs to my new set point.
My body did not just want to settle at 185, so 189.4 it is!

I ate popcorn yesterday because I was starving and I also ate Spaghetti Squash which was a very nice change from my P2ish diet.
    Did not gain this morning.

Still trying to get my wife to take pictures so I can show progress.

Gary, what an accomplishment, you should be proud!! If I could stop eating stuff I shouldn't I would have better results!! I am down one pound from yesterday! Today at lunch I went to the bank and they were having a big celebration with a cookout for their 110th anniversary......I should have eaten my lunch before I went, because they were serving brats and potato salad aect to all us customers.....No I just couldnt walk away and be happy, I had to have a brat and salad, dang it where is my will power??????? I have one week left on p2 and I better straighten up and make it good!! I am going for a run this sunday with a friend, it won;t be too strenious, as I have not done anything since July 16th. I signed up to run a 5K here on October 2nd, so I figured I have time to get started then I will keep it up so I will be ready to train for a half marathon that I have registered for in April in San Francisco! This should keep me going through the winter and any extra weight I want to lose should come off, we are only talking 10-15 lbs.
The board is quite today, where is everyone?

Quick hello before the day is over! I was up 0.5# today. It could be because I pretty much ate an extra meal...accidently. When I make P2 chilli, I usually make a double batch and have half then the other half the next day or so. Well, I just served the whole thing to myself and didn't even 'notice' until I realized that I was getting pretty full before the chilli was all gone from my bowl. Of course, I finished it. (That stuff is good!) Plus, I had another apple before the night was over. I tasted some slivered almonds, too. *sigh*

C'mon Gramma, let's both stop the non-protocol eating (broasted chicken thighs and an apple for my only meal today. Oh yeah, with the skin & breading. Plus more almonds. Yikes!) and get through this last week triumphantly! Hey, I finished a half-marathon in San Francisco a few years ago! The Nike Women's Marathon. I did a walk/run. (I'm not a runner, but wanted to be done with it faster.) I've been walking some but also doing T-Tapp exercise more regularly for toning. I think I will find a 5k or something to get involved in over the fall, too. I have a 'big' birthday this winter, and I was thinking of celebrating partly by finishing another marathon or half-marathon at a fun destination. (Ya know...celebrating a better-than-ever, FIT 50!)

Hey Gary, I'm glad you're adding food and not gaining.
Happy scales in the morning, Everyone!

    Thanks Gramma,

I need to start adding in non P2 food but it is very difficult when you are staying away from sugars and gluten.
Will try to add in Oatmeal tomorrow morning and see what happens.

I am still loving my Cocoa Crack. It is a life saver for getting me past the munching stages.

Please pray for me tomorrow. I am going with my wife and a lot of the leadership from our church to help people get back into their houses from the fires in Bastrop Texas.
There have been over 1,700 houses lost in this area and the fires are still burning.
Not going to be a fun day.

Gary my prayers are with you and what you will be doing today. It would have been such a blessing had some of our rain made it your way but wishing does not make it happen. I pray that all the workers and owners are able to make some sense of all of this. Take care of yourself and your wife and be safe. Let us know what happens and how things end up. Blessings to you all. Karen
