I have taken them when I've eaten something that upset my digestive system. It didn't cause a gain, and actually helped recover from inflammation. I'm in P4 for 3 months now, but just took two capsules today after a heavy beef stew meal sat in my tummy like a rock.

In my experience, charcoal is good for sopping up things that you would react to, like a food allergen. For dealing with a too-heavy meal, I find that papaya enzyme (papain) really works well and quickly to relieve the discomfort of being too full, or of something that seems like its just not digesting.

My recent HCG round was with DietDoc. Our site owner has generously arranged for me to earn a small fee if you use my DietDoc or Nu Image Medical link to order your Hcg and supplies. Hi Leez,

Is Papain better than Bormelain? I've taken that with meat in the past and it made me not feel full, but didn't seem to help move it through my system any faster.

I do think papain is better than bromelain. But they also work pretty well together. I find it interesting that meat tenderizers used to be made from papain. But now they are made from bromelain. I'm thinking bromelain must be cheaper, because it doesn't seem to work any better.

Once you get past that over-full feeling, I find what helps move things through is lots of magnesium and lots of water. Of course everyone can be different.

I just placed an order for Bromelain & Papain combination capsules. I'll let you know how they work once I start using them.
