Thread: Alcohol?

  1. #1

    Alcohol?

When did people start introducing alcohol again? Iím in my 20s and drinks is a fairly common social activity so I know I cannot give it up completely. I probably consume 4-6 on Friday/Saturday nights. Is this gonna kill my hcg efforts? When could I start having one or two and see how it affects my weight?

Has anyone successful had drinking nights without crazy gains?

Of course Iím assuming weíre sticking to healthy foods and not falling for the drunk food binges! (Yes easier said than done!)

Truth be told with phase 3 I used to have alcohol pretty frequently. I stuck to red wine and low carb beer and was generally okay. I think the trick is not to not have it everyday. Just as a disclaimer..I'm a guy, so it may be different for girls. But why not enjoy it, you've earned it!

It's ok to have a glass of wine with dinner in P3. Some people count it as one of their fruits. Any more than that and you are going to interfere with your stabilization, as there will be too much sugar entering your system.

Drinking in the way you describe has derailed a lot of people trying to keep their results in maintenance. You may be able to devise a strategy that somewhat mitigates the effects, but if its a habitual thing, its going to catch up with you at some point.

If you are doing it for the buzz, I have no suggestions for you. However, if its just a social thing, you can have your one drink and then can usually get comfortably through the event by keeping a glass of fizzy water with lime in your hand for the rest of the night. It looks like a vodka gimlet and people will leave you alone.

id think consistently drinking in p2 would sabotage your round. your body treats alcohol as a toxin - so it burns off FIRST.. meaning youd lose the benfit of hcg burning off your stored fat as its primary fuel source.

Now in P3 i drank without issue - vodka tonics, tequila and lime etc. nothing sweet or sugary. I'd notice fluctuation for about 48 hours after - due to water and electrolyte balance (alcohol dehydrates you) but id be back to normal shortly

Thank you for your inputs! Yes I mainly stick to gin and sodas or a glass of wine here and there- my tolerance was way up so it took quite a few to have an effect, but maybe after this Iíll be a light weight 😁haha Just wanted to know peopleís experiences/how it worked for them or if it was a HUGE no no!

If anyone else wants to chime in feel free, thanks 😊😊

gin is one of the higher calorie alcohol choices. I'd consider switching to vodka or tequila. also if you are in p2 .. alcohol will hit you MUCH harder due to your low caloric intake. best of luck
