Cheated with banana bread for breakfast, now what?

Lately I've been toying with the idea of starting a bakery, so I'm making samples and having everyone I know taste-test for me. Not bad, but I needed to know what my latest creation tasted like for myself. Okay, let's be honest. I made the loaves last night and spent the night dreaming about them, so much that before the rest of my family got up this morning I cut myself a piece and ate it with butter. All-purpose flour with white and brown sugar. So good! And then another one because I wanted more. Perfectly aware the entire time that I shouldn't be doing it according to P and I, knowing full well that I'll probably have a gain tomorrow and it may be large. What I didn't think about was, what will I eat for the rest of the day? Now that there are sugary carbs coursing through my body, do I still try to eat Phase 3 high protein and fats? Should I start a steak day now till tomorrow's dinner? Not sure what to do that could possibly lessen the impact of what I've already eaten, or at least get me back on track asap. Any advice?

Do the T-tapp hoe downs right away. (google for you tube video) That will help drop your blood sugar spike fast.

Then just do P3 the rest of the day, maybe foregoing fruit and just get back on track. You may get away with it as long as its a one-time thing.

Just eat a normal P3 day. You don't need to punish yourself with a steak day unless you go more than 2 lbs over LIW tomorrow.

I usually have quite a good drop in weight when I add in starches, so you won't necessarily gain, but don't continue eating the banana bread. It won't help your stabilization. And maybe lay off the baking and temptation until you're into P4.

Thank you guys, I was worried because yesterday I woke up just .2 lbs under the 2 lb window. After that strange T tapp hoedown workout (I could not stop staring at her outfit!) I ate like I have been for all of p3. Which is to say I ate pork rinds dipped in guac, pumpkin seeds in yogurt, and a few other snacks before making huge steaks for dinner for the whole family. I am down a full lb. this morning! And I have decided to wait another week or so before baking anymore samples; right now I'm thinking signage. Again, thanks so much for the help. I possibly would have starved myself for the rest of the day, undoing all the good stuff I've done till now.

That hoe-down sequence is a great tool to have in your arsenal. Yes, its a bit weird, but it works. (Its those big blood sugar spikes that switch you into fat storage mode.) And you can do hoe-downs in a small space. I've done it in a restaurant bathroom stall to counter a big carb indulgence.

What you experienced is the magic of P3, where eating more is usually the answer rather than eating less. I'm glad you followed through and trusted the process.

Hoe-downs! I need to get my old DVD out!

Not eating enough has likely been an issuume for me, too, in the past. I was just so tired of tracking this and that for so long.

I totally forgot about the T-Tap hoe down. I bookmarked it last time you posted it.

    Thanks for the reminder Leez

I believe there is a psychological benefit to the hoe-downs as well as a physical one. Because you are actively doing something to counter the carb overload that provides an immediate result, it gives you a sense of regaining control.

That makes it easier to go forward with your plan and not allow yourself to go into "well I've already blown it, so might as well eat that whole bag of chips and pint of dip too" mode.
