Continue with B12/lipo injections in P3?

Would like to hear any pros or cons. I read the very long thread on this re:P2 and am curious if anyone's continued their injections in P3 and their experience or why they didn't.

I take b12 injections for a deficiency. If you are not deficient you literally just pee it out. As far as the MIC composition I have never seen it do anything great or worth while. You will know if you should continue by observing your energy and we'll being up to 72 hours after your injection. Lots of people are b12 deficiency and don't know. You will have more energy because you need it or you won't and it's a waste.

Thanks Kimm. I understand the value of the b12 shot.
My interest is in those of us who have used the B12/lipo combo for phase 2 to increase losses and segued with the shots into phase 3.
I had good returns from using them in this P2 and am looking for anecdotal advice from those who continued with them or chose not to in P3.

I agree with Kimm. I've done rounds with B12 and MIC and without and there was really no difference. You don't want to lose weight in P3 by the way so if you're thinking to continue the shots so you lose weight, put that right out of your head. You want to stabilize in P3 not mess up so you regain it by not stabilizing. P3 is really the most important part of the protocol.

You can continue the shots if you think you're low in B12 and amino acids but it probably won't make much difference one way or another. I take a good B12 sublingual all the time and you could switch over to something like that if you like. It's not uncommon to be low in B12.

Thanks Grammy, I'm well versed in P3; it's actually my favorite phase - I start tomorrow morning!
I had very good losses with the B12/lipo, I averaged about .9lb loss a day on a 30 day round and I really enjoyed the extra energy. It was my longest and most successful round yet.
I started the thread more from curiosity. Adding the second injection was a new move for me, the other thread was no longer active and I love to read about everyone's experiences.
Maybe I should've tagged onto the end of that one to revive interest, I suppose.

No it's actually better to have a new post so that's totally fine! You might actually have been low in B12 and so it did help you. But I've seen very little evidence that it helps in most people. There have been many over the years who have tried it and it's not made much difference. But if you really NEED it, it can matter. You might want to take B12 long term though the sublingual version works very well. I am one who has had to take B12 for years and the Seeking Health version of methyl B12 has gotten my levels up better than shots.

I am P3 today and have another 25 lbs to lose and I am on a timeline. How can I continue to lose weight in this phase? By eating low carb, lower fat? I understand most people say that you shouldn't lose weight in P3. It's necessary though. I have to get 25 lbs off?

You want to lose 25 pounds in the 3 weeks of P3? I don't think that is possible. And not advisable if you want to avoid regaining what you've lost, as mentioned earlier in this thread.

There are some who do P3 in a ketogenic way (no fruits, and super low carbs from greens) and lose a bit more, which probably wouldn't hurt your P3 too much as long as you ate enough good fats. But to try to make your body lose more weight after the rigors of P2 is asking a lot of it, and it could backfire on you bigtime.

Hey Leez...Not trying to lose 25 in P3... I need to lose 25 lb more by September. So I don't want to do 3-6 weeks in P3 and lose that amount of time. I am going to continue to eat lower carb w lean meats, some fruits and vegs but will eat closer to 1000-1200 calories. Do you think that's do-able?

I don't think that is enough calories for P3. You risk slowing down your metabolism, and then when you get to P4, you'll have a harder time losing because of it.

It's really to your benefit to do a proper P3 because that will keep your metabolism burning so that you can lose weight in P4. You should still have time to do another round before September.
