No doubt-amazing!!! Congrats on the willpower to follow through. You're an inspiration for sure! I've never lost 3 pounds on ANY correction day.

And I see you're getting down there, Angie! Yay

why did you only drink 12 oz of water?

  4. #16
That's all I had on hand in my water bottle

Just had a piece of chicken, some steak, AND a little tuna for dinner with some mayo. It feels so strange to be chewing! I was thinking of adding in some cocoa crack, but if I gain then I won't know if it was because of the mayo or the cocoa crack.

I have noticed though, that the earlier I eat dinner, the less I tend to gain...probably because you're less active towards the end of the night. I am thinking of taking a nice nightly stroll after tonight's gym workout in order to hopefully workout any water that is floating around in my muscles.

For some reason, whenever I walk at night (about 1.5mi), I usually tend to not gain <-- notice I didn't say 'lose'! lol

I just wanted to thank everyone again for all of your support! Not going to lie, you're all partly why my motivation is so high! How is everyone?!

Hi areawoman! Just wanted to let you know that you are my inspiration and I'm following right on your heels. Wishing you the best of success!!! I also gained throughout P3 and am ready to put a stop to it. I gained like 9 lbs. and so far now I've lost 4 of them by doing steak days and protein days. Came to find out that I must be sensitive to dairy because when I quit putting cream in my coffee (that really sucks) I started losing the excess.
So keep up the good work!!!!

    Aw thank you!

Scale reading for 8/3/11: 166.0lbs. Only -0.5lbs...however that's with my 0.5 incremented scale.

I'm going to assume that's because I've dropped a majority of the water weight from the gain. Today is a normal P3 eating day.

I woke up at 3:30am today (to finish some work...before work - GAH ) and have had my coffee w/ half&half and some green tea. If there's one thing I've discovered in P3, it's that I need to have a plan. Today's meals will look as follows:

    1) Breakfast (5:30am) - 340 cals
1 slice of bacon, broccoli, egg casserole - SparkPeople says this recipe/serving is 250 cals
    2 cups romaine - 20 cals
Drizzle of Drew's Roasted Garlic dressing - 70 cals

    2) Snack @ ~10:00am - 200 cals
    1 2% Fage - 150 cals
    handful of strawberries
    Vanilla stevia

    3) Lunch @ ~2:00pm, if I can push the time out that far (coffee works miracles!) - 340 cals
Protein Ice Cream (adapted from HEAB's blog: http://heathereatsalmondbutter.com/r...ein-ice-cream/)
    3/4 cup almond milk
    1/4 cup half&half
2 scoops (60 grams) protein powder (Jay Robb vanilla whey isolate)
1 TBSP dark cocoa powder (optional)
1/2 tsp vanilla or almond extract <-- makes it sooo good!
    1 packet Truvia
    Pinch of Celtic sea salt
    1/3 tsp xanthan gum* <--thickens
1/2 tsp guar gum* <-- makes smoother
    17 -- 18 ice cubes

    3) Dinner @ ~6:00pm
    Chicken w/ mushrooms - ~420 cals
~6 oz. chicken thighs shredded (what's left from yesterday )
sauteed mushrooms (in cream and butter - yum!)

Total: 1300 cals...I might need more... hmm...

In P4, I have decided to adopt an intermittent fasting plan (similar to what Grammy posted about in her thread regarding doing Steak Days once a week during maintenance (link here: Experiment with Fasting/Steak Day)

OMG, I had to come back and post! I made the protein ice cream and it was so good! You can tell the gum is in it, a little weird looking, but flavor wise it's super yummy. I did add 1 tblsp. of almond butter and used unsweetened almond milk, but left out the half and half. Still awesome!!!!! Let me know how you liked yours. I am curious. My hubby loved it, too.

You are doing great! That ice cream recipe sounds wonderful. I need to go pick up some guar gum and xanthan gum before I hit P3! I've seen them both in stores, just haven't figured out how or why to use them (thanks for letting me know what they do).

I'm anxious to see how you do on the scale this morning!

Keep up the great work! You're doing awesome!

How are your losses going areawoman? I look forward to checking on your progress each day. (how does it feel to be under a microscope?) I did a steak day yesterday and actually gained .3. Whats up with that! I'm still doing protein days but may have to accept being 5 lbs. over liw. Hope you have better success!!
