my first round I gained back 5 lbs in P3 but stabilized after that. Each subsequent round I went off the deep end in P3- however, at the time I didn't know about this website/forum. I had a "coach" and he told me I just needed to exercise A LOT. I knew I couldn't each sugar/starch, but I had no idea about upping my calories. So I would exercise and burn off like 600 calories a day and only consume around 1000-1200. And I always gained back. Last round I was determined to do it right. I did for about a week. I had small gains, but nothing I was worried about. But then I had my nieces weekend wedding extravaganza and I landed up gaining those 2.4 lbs... which wasn't bad in itself, but I had gone to the wedding almost hitting the 2 lb allowance.. I just couldn't keep it together after that. It seemed like no matter what I ate, I gained and had to do a steak day a week. Then I did the fmd for P4 and dropped the 6 lbs that I had gained in P3.. my first week of fmd-- 2nd week I dropped 2 lbs and then I fell just a little and just maintained.
That's why I am planning to return to P2 if I gain more than 5 lbs... I am hoping not too, but if I do.. I will return to the structure to take it off. If I have to give up thanksgiving- then so be it. I will be doing another round in January. Just not sure yet when. Depends on the PI.
For me personally, P3 is much harder than P2.. only because there is so much leeway.. In P2, I know if I stick to
protocol I will lose. I also know that it will slow down, but I will still lose and inches too. P3 is very subjective. In my past, I haven't been a dairy or a nut person. So those would be my last choices. This P3 I'm sticking to "clean eating" with olive oil, evoo, steak, fish, seafood, poultry, brightly colored veggies, eggs. My devil is sugar... I LOVE candy.. so if I could stay away from the sugar, I think I will be ok.
