Hi, friends! Sorry to have been absent--it's just been a big week of holiday fun and travel.

FWIW I'm still on P3 as far as I'm concerned--and planning to pretty much stick with it through to the next round with a reprieve for Christmas, probably New Year's, and then, depending on how I feel, I may try out legumes in the first week of January. I feel like the world has opened to me with Swerve and my chocolate cake and pumpkin pie, which I'm continuing to eat little by little! Anyway, as my doc's office recommended, I'm pretty much going to stay off sugars and starches for eight weeks, though I feel myself relaxing with each day of stable weight.

More to come on my blog. Glad to be back and getting caught up with your journeys! What is the difference between P3 and P4 is kind of a question I've been pondering as well. There's nothing I'm missing at this point, and I'm doing well, so why mess with a good thing until I want to? BF and I discussed a Christmas meal full of my family's food traditions that includes a Nigella Lawson delectable fruitcake/Christmas pudding as well as Yorkshire pudding cooked in the fat of a standing rib roast. All of that with a glass of wine sounds like a right celebration to me. So I'll plan for that one month from now and see how it goes.

Wow, that sounds like an awesome meal! Rib roast is so good! We may do prime rib for Christmas. Already thinking ahead! I wish I could make the chocolate cake and cheesecake, but one thing at a time. I have 6/8th of a pumpkin pie left! LOL

For me, the difference between P3 and P4 will really just be some added carbs in the form of sweet potato and legumes. I won't touch sugar because it will just make me want to raid the pantry, and I am not interested in pasta or rice at all. Oh and half a bagel with cream cheese, chives, and lox!

I almost forgat to fo breakfast.... but stopped znd done breafast first.... also I did weigh and was up 100g/.22 lbs

But here is the funny part.... did All the shopping.... gone through the till... all packed and ready to ho.... guess what? I left my debit card on my desk after dome online shopping....have TWO credit cards in my purse.... guess what? Dont know the pins for either??? Now the story about why the debit card ended up on my desk.... we have a large chain of what you will regard as drug stores... it is a pharmacy but it sells health products al all sorts of other stuff... among other things all the flours and seeds and butters used by a keto lovers .... and their special was great.... buy 3 (se nrand)products and get the cheapest one free.... so instead of doing ONE order i did 4 orders picking item that were almost the same price as to maximize the discount... lol saved about R450 ....

Considering I was not looking for big Black Friday specials i did get quite a nice saving on stuff I was going to buy in any case

MissM... i made the cheesecake recipe.... but I did it in individual moulds... should have made in in smaller moulds as they are pretty rich
Looking at the recipe I did think the filling was plenty ... whenever I make cheesecake A large recipe asks for about 450gm of cheese this recipe asks for 680gm and as it turns out I have extra filling.... so I will make a Bigger cake not bake it bur will freezer and bake maybe for Christmas

As I said... it is VERY rich...and tasty... tried it out on friends this morning who liked it and agreed it was Rich.... will try it on another friend so is very anti sugar-free stuff....

Other than reducing the filling size to 2/3rds.... i finds that the chocolate/cacao in the filling overshadows the more delicate flavor of the cream cheese.... the next time i make it i will try and replace the cacao in the filling with protein powder maybe.... the chocolate one i will do for Christmas.... i will serve with plain cream and topped with raspberries probably....

Ok.... considering I had wine on Friday AND Saturday I am happy to report weight nor going crazy

    P3 Day 22
    Down 100 gm/.22
    300gm/.66 over LIW

I must say the most amazing part of this P3 is that i am not tempted by anything.... i realized that having switched to almond milk has my allergies and my sinus problems so much under control
That i have not needed to take medication for any flare ups.... and that alone is enough for me to switch to almond or coconut milk permanently.... Also.... i know that carbs is not my friend and can like starch free probably on a 80/20 basis going forward in my new normal. meaning that in my house starches will be a no go and when out i will allow myself treats... ie roast potatoes

Did read all the posts and will catch up on replying and commenting.... happy to see mot too much damage done with Thanksgiving

I love that too about P3. Eating well and not craving anything I see in the stores. I haven't even touched my erythritol sweetened dark chocolate and ice cream.

Dairy is indeed one of those foods that people can be allergic to, often without noticing even. Until they don't have any and some annoying chronic issues clear. Your gut may heal all that much better too with not having any!

Your card situation is funny! I never need a pin for credit cards, only debit. And I just have them all on my phone wallet so I can just hold it up to the device. All I need is my driver's license on there so all I'd ever need is my phone! On my computer, everything is stored securely as well so it plugs it all in automatically. Techy family I guess

Can't wait to make that keto cheesecake and will take your notes into consideration! I love rich though! But first the pumpkin pie. 5/8th left LOL I may have a second piece today now that I know I am fine with it.

Glad you scored on your shopping day! It seems like there are sales everywhere all the time from early Nov. through Dec. so I am slowly gathering presents from small stores online. I wish I had the energy to go out and visit our local stores but I really do not enjoy that at all, so I try and patronize them online if I can. My daughter is getting a pass to our awesome yoga studio. She moved farther away from it and so their live and recorded classes are awesome for her. Some silver linings to Covid.

Busy weekend, indeed! Glad disaster was averted with the missing debit card and you still snagged all your deals. Good news that weight is stable and now you have new creations in mind based on the cheesecake. Thanks for trying it out! I ended up making the chocolate cake and even though the coconut chocolate mousse frosting turned out a little weird, it is pretty magnificent. Very fudgy, almost like a brownie, again, super rich--despite there being no oil or dairy in it at all. Amazing.

I agree P3 is wonderful in that I don't really have cravings or desires for anything other than what's planned. And what's planned is always delicious!

    Morning all
Hectic weekend and this week is going to be insane

Yesterday was not a good day.... The pain over my Right kidney/Urinary tract area is back with a vengeance.... I also have protein and Leukocytes in my urine.... Ketones sky high and I am concerned that I am overdoing the Proteins maybe... I honestly do not have time to get to a doctor before I finish work on the 10th... I am now at a point where this has gon one for too long.... I am going to try and flush out my kidneys with water and if I get hungry to may be just add raw veggies.... had Yougurt without Protein powder for Breakfast

In addition, I must have inadvertently picked up a bog or something with all this shopping and possibly pulled a muscle behind my left Prosthesis as my breast is swollen, red, inflamed and painfully.... I continued drinking my gut health medication but do not want to take any medication if my kidneys or UT is taking strain

Sorry Ladies, Not in a good way so when I am like this I tend to pull back a bit as I hate to complain,... needless to say The scale is not happy either

    P3 Day 23
    Up by 400gm/.88
Sitting at 100gm/.22 below my max

Take take of yourselves, I will catch up when I can ,...Definitely not going off-grid I am here for the long haul....

UGH! So sorry you're suffering, Yvonne. I do hope you can get to a doctor ASAP, though. These symptoms are quite concerning. Sending big virtual hugs and healing energy from afar. . . .

Please take good care of yourself. Please see a doctor sooner rather than later. Inflammation will really add water weight. Right now though, I am not sure that if you were to go over, a steak day would be good for you?

Well wishes to you friend. I am quite concerned also.

    Morning girls
Thank you so much for your well wishes and concerns...I realize the importance of keeping to protocol.. but I have to be realistic health wise...since moving into P3 I focussed like crazy to up my calories and to get to that with my meal sizes I concentrated on healthy fats s and good proteins.. and I ask myself if i could possibly put a strain on my kidneys? Possible ... yes.... probable... maybe I am paranoid... but that being said.. i can not go wrong in being safe rather than sorry...

Was really in pain all of yesterday... immediately after work i filled up two hot water bottles .. one for my boob and one for my back... but was in bed by 8 after a hot epsom salts soak with a fresh set of heat ... one thing is for sure... if there is inflammation... i sweated like a Pig haha

Still to weigh myself n because I am still in bed... did have a good night’s sleep... the breast feels less hard, shiny and swollen ... back appears to be less painful too... but will only know when I start moving... forward honked ng of quickly doing another set of bottles and do for about half hour

I am probably paranoid in that it is only a muscle sprain that pur pressure on the muscles surrounding the prosthesis... but I think i will eat gently again today... to eat when i should (as you know my non existent hunger issues) but would prefer to keep it light with loads if clear liquids.. not too fatty or overdo proteins

And MrsS I totally agree with you...and am sure the powers that be would agree... not to do anything drastic at this point which would include a steak day... which I hope would not be required

Lets get some heat on in will update a but later
