Being so self reliant i often forget that age wise I cannot really fo the things i used to do...and yet I still fo it...
Problem is that because there is no breast tissue... when muscles arr sprained there it causes inflammation... and considering I had a right dorsal flap for my Right reconstruction and therefore these muscles are not as strong as it used to be... and the way the body will compensate by using opposite muscles in support... the protein and other readings in my urine test is probably just a diet issue but I cannot ignore it altogether...i am just happy that I did do a full P3... but even with some modifications I am not going to break protocol... just a but softer on the proteins and fats for this week

Ok these 'double standards' sometimes confuse me and I mess up... and If I change figures it is because I confuse myself at times But double checked and figures are correct

    P3 Day 24
    Down 400gm/.88
    Weight at 179.5 - 500gm/1.1 over LIW
    LIW 178.4

Fair enough I did not eat enough but I did try to have plenty of low sugar fruits and veg .... But by now you guys know my definition of "Plenty" .... but my plenty was sufficient, no hunger and no cravings
I did do a few chicken meatballs with avo at dinner, so did not do an entire protein free day.... Fats in the avo and the chicken.... I just feel that I have absolutely zero appetite..... more than usual but that be it for now... as long as I do not skip meals and I do not eat out of protocol

Bonus!! I found two of those 12hour Inflammatory plasters in my meds cabinet so one of those will do me for the day... should help with a clear indication if it is muscle or inflammation (yes I know muscle pain is Inflammation as well but I am sure you know what I mean... I hope, because sometimes I do just ramble on and on haha)

But sunny side up.....I promised myself a proper P3 and sometimes it was hard to stay below that invisible 2lbs line.... I only went over it ONCE and that was due to an innocent mistake... Butttt it seems my body is prone to gravitate towards a .66/.88 above LIW... this journey is far from over .... the really hard part is up in P4... to make choices that is good for us rather than following a protocol....

I don't know about you ladies, But I can hardly imagine eating anything more on a Load day than I eat now.... unless I break the sugar and starch rule... so wondering how my next load will go..... will be interesting unless of course, I include all the so-sos like cheese and nuts.... which I hope to include more of in P4

Btw... regarding the starch rule.... has anyone successfully included Phyllo pasty in P4 and "afterwards"....essentially Phyllo is pure butter with a little flour added....and cannot see myself attempting almond flour phylo. haha.... I love baked Cammenbert parcels....

So glad you found some relief, Yvonne, and I still hope you make it to a doctor to rule out anything dire.

I think anything goes on P4, doesn't it? It's just a continuing process of finding your edge with the foods we know are less healthy for us but also worth it sometimes, like phyllo dough.

As you know, I have the opposite issue that you do: I can eat volumes before I feel overfull, and I'm planning beef brisket, pork shoulder, fried plantains, and plenty of avocado as well as my usual American-style fried eggs and potatoes with bacon for breakfast. Actually. now that I write that all out it does make my tummy feel a little queasy, LOL. But I also suspect that after a good, solid P3 in which I'm eating plenty of good food, my body won't be depleted and in need of massive loading. I mean, I'll do my best, and I'll keep to my doc's thyroid protocol, meaning no dairy, no grains, etc.

ps FWIW my Mom suffered from advanced kidney disease and her doc was always telling us she needed to make sure to drink plenty of water and get plenty of protein. I would be very surprised if what you're experiencing now is kidney issues related to increased protein intake. But I say that just to help you not be so paranoid about that. And to remind you sometimes a doctor is needed! (I say this lovingly as someone who also fears antibiotics to the point I had pink eye and waiting waaaaaay to long to go in and get the antibiotic drops that made it possible for me to see again. So silly in retrospect, but I just didn't know what was going on and I thought I could treat it at home with coconut oil and such. Sometimes we just flat out need Western Medicine, as much as we resist it. . . . XO)

LOL with what I have had to endure as a result of western medicine = aka antibiotics over the past 3-4 years in specific, I avoid it if I think their answer is going to be antibiotics.... I spent so much effort to almost get my gut to feel normal Lasy thing I need now is anything that will upset that...yet again...

I am starting to feel more and more confident that both the aches is as a result of overexertion and the weakness of is Dorsal muscle (over my kidney area) caused extra strain on my upper body muscled on the opposite site... I am watching it carefully.... as three years ago this was a part of the 3 sets of antibiotics in succession that cause the gut issues and of course what follows and will not go away

But just for safety, I will have a mild menu as to ensure no strain on my kidney... and water for me is seldom an issue.... only if My bottle is MIA and then I honestly feel like a baby with a dummy that is MIA.....

I think its just taking a little time of without really breaking the rules... stressed like hell getting through my project by Friday and then more things start happening!!

You do you, m'lady. And your fellow cancer survivor friend over here has infinite compassion for the challenges of a complicated health history and the ravages left by Western Medicine's treatment. Gut health is important, yes, and takes time to rebuild after antibiotics decimate it. So, I feel you. You just had me so worried that the issue was acute. But you know your body and you've been taking good care of you for a looooong time.

Self reliance is such a blessing and a curse--I know all too well. I really think we independent single gals need to forge a worldwide co-op through which we can rely on each other when we need help rather than suffering alone. Among us, I know we could have every needed skill and expertise covered!

Anyway, I hope things continue to improve and that your work stress subsides. That certainly doesn't help anything, now does it?

Interestingly MissM.... a close friend and I discussed something a mutual friend said to me.... That she felt compelled that she had to help Friend X to move house next week....as she has no one (her husband died earlier this year and her kids are in the UK).... and we thought to ourselves she has know both me and my other friend much much longer and we are closer, but never has she offered to help with a move or a man sized job.... Because I just get on with it or pay someone to do it.... its interesting that our own actions is also what lets people offer to help or not to help us,.....

and No I will not be silly about anything if it is acute..... just not one of those who runs to the doctor every second week..... having said that, I realise I have an extremely high threshold for pain etc.... in 2011 I had surgery (umpteenth one on this same implant) I felt uneasy and asked the doc for a script and note to take with me visiting Family in Australia... he thought it unnecessary.... I went to Oz... felt the same sensation that I was inflamed but knew I was not all too happy ...came home.... first weekend I was in a clothing store finding something for a special Birthday party that evening and did not feel all to good...so much so that another patron asked me if I was Ok ...and I realised I was not... got home...razing fever... sweats and chills all night so much so that my prosthesis had to be removed and left for the inflammation to settle.... these boobs of mine are just not worth the hassles they have given me....sigh

I think that is so true--that those of us who are fiercely independent aren't always as open to receiving help. I know people in my life haven't offered because they didn't want to offend me--as if it would be a vote of no confidence or otherwise suggest I couldn't do it myself.

Ugh. I'm so sorry you've been through the ringer--and it seems to continue. I hope you get some real relief soon.

Just a quick pop in....crazy crazy day

    P3 Day 26
    No movement on scale
    Still 1.1 over LIW

Definitely a vast improvement on the pain.... Slight tinge re the UTi but it comes and goes and no abnormalities in the urine today which means the infection is on the out.... I think main damage was muscle sprains, Torso area still sore but inflammation, redness, swelling and shininess has subsided which is a relief
Thankfully My local pharmacist knows about my gut battle after antibiotics and Gave me some gut friendly anti-inflammatories yesterday and after 3 doses It seems to be doing the trick

Good thing in just timing out and not stressing so much on what I eat but that I eat healthy and on protocol is that I am actually starting to hear when my body is asking for food.... gut health seems improved as I hear grumblings and movement I have not heard before

Did Lasagne from My whole foods supplier yesterday (pasta made with vegetables) and added extra brocolli and cauliflower

Will catch you when I catch you
