Carbs does not agree with me..... so its not really Keto it is about balancing the nutrients that is not carbs
I only do well with carbs if I am mindful of my Fibre and keep net carbs low...

    Rose....
Banting was originally started by a William batting....and with the Atkins diet and Paleo and Keto diets a professor in SA built up a huge following in South Africa....basically what they are doing - is no carbs other than veg and fruits and because of that, we can find a lot of grain free products fairly easily when you look for it...and at a price of course... there is of course the normal everyday gluten free which generally is made with grains and usually have extra sugars added These seed crackers and breads are usually only available at health food shops or health food sections of some selected stores or online

I do nuts to up my calories but will give it a miss for a bit will take some extra fruit going away for the weekend

This is good to know, Rose. I used a little coconut flour in a recipe and was considering using some almond flour in another one. Maybe I'll hold off. Thanks!

I read the Real Meal Revolution books--very helpful! I love learning about the foods you prepare that are different from what I know. I have a little fantasy that one day we all meet up somewhere and share our most delicious concoctions while taking pleasure in how fit, healthy, and happy we've become through this HCG process together.

Drat... did a really nice long reply and then lost if because i did not do the reply to post
    Will do a bit later..

For dinner I tried something different... i made chicken liver Pate yesterday
And i have not yet defrosted anything snd busy packing and getting stuff ready for us tomorrow... so I quickly made dome home made ‘cheese crackers’ with parmesan cheese with egg whites

Turned out great... going to make some cheddar ones for the weekend
Only trick is... it only works in a silicone pan .. not in a muffed n pan

Sounds like you are getting your groove, Yvonne?

It just takes time and you had some great lessons, even if they are hard. But please never do a correction day if the gain is below 2 pounds of LIW! I know we worry and we don't like being that close but it will drive you nuts! It usually takes a day of eating foods that you know sit well with you to go back down.

    Morning bunnies.....
Awesome hot weekend away.... lots and lots of walking and swimming, trippled my daily steps and was very good... just not enough water!'
however having been on the edge of my limit I did expect to do a steak day today...I am up and that pushes me to 2.4 lbs over LIW....need to drop at least 200gms by the morning...That I know was the wine....

One thing I did learn over the weekend is to stop pushing myself to "do my calories" and forcing the issue.... except for today of course I will eat 3 meals and do a snack when I feel like it.....Lost my work phone...ouch!!,
