Thank you, my friend. I couldn't agree more. I love the virtual sisterhood here--and the feeling that your success is my success and my success is your success. Wonderful, indeed!

    Morning Bunnies!!
As I thought, euphoria is short lived haha

    P3 Day 16
    Up by 300gm/.66
    100gm/.22lbs over LIW
    Weight 178.6

This one most certainly is not enough water.... been running errands without my water bottle,,,, then to lunch and what I thought was Roast beef was in fact Gammon and I am not sure if it had a sticky glaze... but I did enjoy the crackling of the pork belly.... and the cauliflower had a cheese sauce and knowing it probably had a thickening agent I avoided the sauce,

I am not a big sweet tooth but do enjoy a nice dessert or treats.... but I think I am in Keto...must be.... I could not be swayed to even consider breaking out of my starch free zone....I can look at others eating and even take second portions and I not even interested to entertain the thought....

I guess it takes me back to a quote I store in the back of my mine to bring out ever so often,..

Nothing tastes as good as what Skinny feels like
Not that I am anywhere near skinny... but you know what I mean

After all the talk last week I treated myself with a piece of Norwegian Salmon..... at a massive price as I could not seem to find local salmon... will probably have tomorrow or Wednesday... I also invested in some different fruits.... I know you two ladies avoid fruits because of the sugars, I need to add to up calories and it also pack some fibre in to bring net carbs down...and papaya is also rich in digestive enzymes to help settle and heal my gut.... I do believe I am definitely getting there... the infection is not all gone but most definitely on the mend almost zero reaction at the moment

Sweet dreams catch you on the morrow!

    Morning again....

With my first week in P3 being so tricky, I decided to do a 4th week of P3.... I do not have a looming Thanksgiving so it will work for me
Week 1 was a fight to not gain with that little blunder with the sweetened Almond milk
In week 2 I did manage to up my calories, but not as much as I would like to and I did not test anything to specifically
I did play around a little with adding cheese and nuts and seeds here and there, but have not really had time to do it one at a time to evaluate

    This week I want to
    • increase fruit and veggies
    • today I have a 30gm mixed nut snack
    • I want to try my Vegetable based Lasagne this week for a lunch
    • I also want to try my vegetable based wrap
    • I think I will try it a day apart, 1 day one of these but a next meal a known meal
    • I have tried the Keto/Banting bread and it worked a charm so happy for that as I would like to do it in P4 as well
    • I tried 2 No grain Seed crackers with Camembert cheese yesterday but think I wave to push aside a bit and see how it goes next time...I don't think this gain has anything to do with that, I do think it was not enough water

and if the week goes well, I can do a repeat next week
That way Christmas day falls exactly on my last day of P4 (day 21)
and then I have a week to try and fix any booboos and load om 2 and 3 January

    Quick question
I accidentally bought a mixed packet of Sugar snap peas with Baby Corn.... I checked the nutritional values of baby corn vs proper corn and it seems to be a low carb veg..... Think I should try it? mI normally eat raw as a salad

Good morning from Michigan, Yvonne (though I know your day is nearly done by now). Yes, my understanding is that baby corn, if it's the kind we tend to buy in cans and it shows up mostly in Chinese restaurant dishes, is very different from sweet corn; however, I don't know for certain whether or not it's OK for P3, so I'll let someone else chime in on that.

I think your plan to extend P3 is a good one. More time for stabilization given the circumstances seems like a savvy choice to me.

Congrats on the way you navigated the restaurant meal, and it is amazing, isn't it how cravings and attitudes about food can be almost like a switch on or off when we're in the zone--whether it's ketosis or just a fierce mind about what you will and will not do. I know it can't possibly last forever, but I'm grateful to be in that place, too. Nothing really tempts me, though as I've mentioned before, I am starting to desire a little chocolate now and again. But honestly, it's the true cacao I'm after, not the sweetness of commercial chocolate, so that's progress, too.

Best of luck with your continuing self experimentation. So glad the infection seems to be clearing and that you're on solid ground with your health again.

Ok so here is my day so far...

Breakfast the same... works for me and I can do it every day - FF Yougurt, Protein powder and my moringa dn prebiotics and a little cranberry concentrate

Morning snack - 30 gm mixed nuts

Lunch - small bowl of Brocolli soup, half portion of cottage pie and tomatoes and asparagus ( I find the full container is a bit much)

Afternoon snack - 100gm Papaya, 1 cup almond milk and because my protein at lunchtime was a bit meager, I added half a scoop of Protein powder...

Dinner may be simple either a steak or a Sole....

. A 1/2-cup serving of baby corn contains 5 grams of carbs — versus 13.5 grams in 1/2 cup of regular corn kernels — along with 3 grams of fiber. So 2 net carbs.

    Heres a full nutrtional panel:
    Quantity 100 grams
    Energy 26 calories
    Carbohydrates 3.1 g (1.4 net carbs)
    Fiber 1.7 g
    Protein 2.5 g

Baby corn has nutritional value very close to vegetables like cauliflower, tomato, cucumber and cabbage. I think you can treat it as a low carb veggie.

Ha, I had a chocolate craving too! I am still doing what I did through P2: Unsweetened cocoa powder, some stevia, and milk to make a sauce for over strawberries. I can now use cream instead but you can use any kind of non-dairy milk too! Or water. It gives me that dark chocolate satisfaction. I use Dutch cocoa powder which is alkalized and it makes all the difference.

I don't think that up 0.66 oz is a result of anything specific but just normal fluctuation

    Enjoy the salmon!

I don't avoid fruits I do eat berries. And in order to have more carbs I should probably add an apple a day. I just never think about it! But I will admit that eating an apple is a lot of carbs and I still have a block! In P4 though I will have to get over that and try harder

Still dealing with the infection, wow. That is taking a long time! Glad it is getting better though!

Ah! Sounds like you are on the right track.

I did two years of Auto-Immune Protocol to heal my gut. Considering no foods made me gain last time, I wonder if I should do something like that again. On the other hand, if it is just coconut and mushrooms, it is not worth it. During the last Covid months I was eating gluten again

    Thanks Leez....
I think i will hang on to it till later this week or I might just give it to a neighbour

MissM.... Let me the First to wish you a wonderful birthday today!!..... May it be a wonderful day and all your wishes come true!!

MrsS.... Luckily your chocolate is P3 friendly so enjoy!

AFM.... My body either does not like nuts, so that will be shelved for a while will try again next week...The other possibility is the Papaya because that's the only new thing.... but we shall try again...

    P3 Day 17
    Up 400gm/.88
    Weight 179.5 - 1.1 lbs over LIW

But Like MissM said.... I am comfortable with that.... I have managed to up my calories, try new things and even though the scale is up, it is still good and knowing I did not eat or do anything wrong works for me

We have been warned of a planned water outage in our area but they have not been very specific to exactly which areas, But I made sure there is enough water at the ready...apparently, that will be till 11 tonight

Wondering how Maggie is doing?.... she has not had a good time this round....
