Yes, please do report back. That will give you extra eyes to help interpret your progress, and everyone's experience has data that may be important to helping someone else in the future. That's pretty much how we have learned what we know about how to help coach people to success.

Tomorrow I will be eligible for another steak day (today is my 4th consecutive non-steak day). Should I do that tomorrow? In the past I have just eaten the steak, no apple or tomato. This time I will include one or the other. So would be steak day tomorrow, then the following day start our plan of fats, meats, non/starchy veggies and some fruits?

Yes, do a steak day tomorrow then proceed afterward as planned. Be sure you have a really fatty steak, if not, cook it in butter or olive oil. I have found that eating an apple or tomato with it makes it easier for me to eat all that steak. I think it helps you digest it better too. You want to eat as much as you can manage comfortably as its your only significant calories for the day.

The fattiness of the meat seems to be a key. I've had good results from using a beef chuck or pork butt roast pot roast when I didn't have a steak on hand. I suggest also increasing your dose of magnesium before bedtime to aid elimination of that big load of meat.

Steak Days stopped working for me in my third round, in terms of the big losses 3-4 lb. they had done in the past. Since that time I may only lose .8-1 lb on a steak day and might even gain .2 instead. I began to pursue other correction methods such as Inflammation Smoothie, Jay Robb Protein Shake, or Whole Roasted Chicken Days - all of which yield a 2-4 lb loss for me easily.

If I know if's really from inflammation due to food sensitivity that I know of and maybe chose to ignore, I'll do a total fast from foods and a "liquids only" day along with a detox bath. Using this method, I've lost 4-5 lbs. overnight if my inflammation was bad, and once I resumed eating the gains didn't return until I ate another "bad food".

Like Leez, I'm sensitive to turkey. I can go up 4-5 lb. after eating it, so of course I just opt for Roasted Chicken or even Roasted Duck on Thanksgiving instead.

Hmm, interesting. I wonder if I should give the steak day another shot tomorrow, or go the roast chicken route. Do you not eat all day then at dinner eat as much of the chicken as you can? Or do you just eat it as you’d like throughout the day?

For your liquids only day, any liquids you choose (protein shakes, etc) or do you only drink one special concoction?

So after my normal breakfast yesterday of eggs, keto bagel etc, I only ate lamb and guacamole (for both lunch and dinner). I lost 1.4 this morning. So I don’t think I’m sensitive to lamb, eggs, almond flour or mozzarella (both in bagel). Im still over 6lbs above LDW, so a long way to go. My face also still looked very puffy this morning I got up. Anyway, I will continue with my steak day today and see what happens on the scale tomorrow. I also have not gone to the bathroom in several days so took 750mg of magnesium last night.

Will keep everyone updated. And, thanks again for all the help.

Glad you could clear some favorite foods.

Don't be afraid to keep raising your magnesium each day until you get a loose bowel. Then come back down one dose and stay there for a while. its not unusual to need 1600mg - 2000mg or even more for a time to get back to something normal.

I took 1000 mg today and will keep upping it as needed. Thanks!

So, my plan for tomorrow: Eat my usual breakfast of fried eggs and keto bagel. Then my “test food” will be chicken salad. I ate chicken on P2, so I guess the test would be mayo.. Then for dinner I’ll have some chuck roast or lamb and guacamole. If I need more calories throughout the day I’ll just have another keto bagel or eggs.

Steak day worked a bit better this time. Down 2 lbs this morning. Currently 4.2 above LDW. Intend to add my chicken salad as my test and do detox smoothie before bed.

Two pounds is considered a good loss for steak day, so hurray for you on that.

Thanks Dubbles! Yes, especially in times like this, without this forum I’d be completely lost. I’ll keep everyone updated.
