Thanks, me too! Aaahhh you are a life saver again. Iíve been feeling guilty all day about that stupid pickle slice that I ate alone this morning lol.

Oohhh very interesting about the IM and the dose, so glad there is another option next time Iím contemplating a round. Iím hoping getting the thyroid stuff settled will help, but Iím not confident thatís my silver bullet. So for IM, where/how do you inject? Do I jam it in a buttcheek? LOL. I googled but canít find any info on how to do IM injections.

Ugh, the link to the needles is dead Grammy: thyroid results review, PLEASE? Can you tell me what size or what the specs are?

I do it below the waist in the back. If you google, you will see the spot. It's painless.

    Grammy: thyroid results review, PLEASE?

So hereís a strange little wrinkle. After lowering my injection based on the thought it was now too high (which I know happens) I had the ďtoo low dose hungerĒ all day yesterday, even though overall I felt MUCH better than the previous days. So today I feel even better than that and went back to my dose before lowering it and Iím fine, hunger from yesterday is gone/evened out. So weird, but based on that I think maybe it wasnít a dose issue after all. What do you think?

It could have been a problem with blood sugar or electrolytes than maybe. Glad you're feeling better!

Thanks, me too!! And even more glad itís not likely it was an immunity issue because trying to figure out IM injections is kinda intimidating. Lol.

Hi Grammy. Iím hoping you can weigh in on some things Iíve been experiencing that donít usually happen and I think may be related to the cytomel. I think the two 25 mcg pills may be too high for me since I didnít have these issues before taking the cytomel. I havenít been sleeping (even when taking 12.5 mg of ambien in desperation to get some sleep) but more than that, some nights my heart has been pounding in my chest and my pulse has been very high - like I can hear my heart pounding in my ears and what should be my resting heart rate (lying in bed) is like 89 bpm. I have forgotten to take the second pill a couple of times and on those nights this doesnít happen and the only change is the cytomel. I think I need to drop the dose but after convincing my doctor to let me do this, I do not want to consult her about it because I donít want her to stop prescribing it if this is going to help me heal the overall issue and I just need a lower dose. Can I drop to one 25 a day and still fix my RT3 issue, it just may take longer? Should I split the dose into 2x a day? Any direction you can provide would be most appreciated.

I always have to lower my thyroid meds when on hcg. I would cut back to just one Cytomel, or even none.

I just started a round myself (loaded last Wed) and I decided to try an experiment. I've read Pounds and Inches dozens of times and have noted that Dr. Simeons took all his patients off thyroid while on hcg. I was always afraid to do it in previous rounds, but I've been having such an awful time with my thyroid for the past two years that I decided to just stop my medication while on the hcg. So far so good. I did some research and found some studies that say hcg stimulates the thyroid so it makes sense he would say that. I'm hoping the hcg "resets" my thyroid with no medication. I'll keep everyone posted on how it goes. So far my losses are on track, 4.8 pounds since I started the diet on Friday, but it may affect how much I lose. I just don't know, but if it fixes my thyroid, it would be worth slightly lower losses. And my fixing my thyroid, I don't mean that I won't need medication when I'm done. I mean fixing this reverse T3 issue I have going on.

I ended my round last week, Friday was my first day of P3. So you think since things are elevated for 6 weeks after it could be the hcg still kicking things up? Oh you did start your round! You are brave to do this experiment, but given all that you are dealing with and all the knowledge you have from your years of experience and combining that with P&I - I can see why youíd roll the dice on this. I may have tried it myself the last round. Itís only a few weeks and if you can fix all the issues you have going on AND you can lose some lbs, even if maybe a little slower than usual? Totally worth it! I am cheering you on and am with you in spirit, hoping this works for you to reset you back to a good place so you can get back to your normal. I look forward to reading about your progress in this experiment!

Yes, your thyroid is likely still elevated. It will gradually fall off over the next six weeks though. I'd suggest splitting your 25 mc in half and taking the first one when you get up and the 2nd one around 1. Cytomel has a short half life. See how you feel on that and be alert that you might need to add half a pill to your dose after another couple of weeks.

Thanks for the cheering on! We'll see what happens.
