I am in the midst of P3 but I am just NOT HUNGRY! Help - how are you guys getting in 2000 cal??? I got up to 1500 yesterday and have absolutely NO appetite today. Just force fed myself some chicken breast at 4pm after 2 eggs and a few nuts for breakfast at 9:30 this morning. The only reason I ate the chicken is because I don't want to go into starvation mode. But really?? I do eat an entire avocado almost daily and had a steak yesterday for lunch but opted for Fage yogurt for dinner cause I couldn't eat more meat. I also eat plenty of fruit and veggies but rarely get above 1200 cal which I know is too low for P3. Having no problem stabilizing (2.6 below right now) but I don't want to have to live on 1200 calories forever...

Mostly I eat eggs. Coffee with whole cream. Turkey burgers and hamburger patties plain or on romaine. Steak, chicken with sugar free marinara sauce. Minute muffins. A full batch of cocoa crack is 700 calories. I can eat a whole batch of crack in one sitting.

Plus I eat a ton of veggies, apples, grapes, walnuts and almonds.

hmmm, I eat all that too - guess I just need to increase the quantities.
Like right now I feel stuffed! Just had a cup of blueberries but its almost dinner time and I can't imagine eating dinner (so far 698 cal for the day).
    Thanks for the info!

If you need to up your calories, how about ditching the extra lean ground beef and have some normal fatty stuff? How about chicken with the skin on? How about more butter?
Started my HCG journey on March 16, 2011

Just for the record, no part of this journey is for the weak.

Honestly... I had no plans to track my calories and macros, after P2 was over... but after a sloppy Planned Interruption, that already has had it's ups and downs already, I learned my lesson. I'm still in the middle of it... and will be back on P2 again hopefully before Apr 1st. I'm not going to stress about all the days I didn't track my calories, (since I have a good idea what caused both of the steak days I had to do), but I think I will start tracking my intake again tomorrow.

When I go into P3 for the last time, I have now decided that I will track my foods on www.Fitday.com as best as I can until I get through my 3rd week of P4... and have not had issues stabilizing, even after adding starches again. Without keeping track, if I have any stabilization issues again, guessing their cause will be like shooting in the dark...and I want to ENSURE that I succeed at maintaining this weight off, so I will use all the tools I have at my disposal to do that. (even when I'm not always as regimented as I should be)

Thanks for the ideas - I upped my calories yesterday to 1700 (felt stuffed last night) but down a pound today! (almost 4lbs under LIW) Not trying to lose in P3 but I'm thinking that increasing fat calories may be the way to go - it feels SO uncomfortable to say that!!!!

I think that's the way to go, huh? I did gain a pound today, but I had two slices of cheese today. One was provolone, but i suspect the other one....mozzerella. No cheese today so we'll see.

There's a thread out there about why it's important to get so many calories early on, but I can't find it....

OK, well, geesh. I got in 3500 calories today. I have to say that part of it is the fact that Sundays are 24 hours long for me because I work 3rd shift. I was down a pound under my adjusted LDW yesterday, but I'm pretty sure it was the hangover, and that will be back soon with some added friends...

I really want to lose like 5 pounds over the next few weeks. I may just hit it hard at the gym, stop the extra treats and see how it goes....

I know I could get in 3500 calories. It's really not that hard to get those calories up there when you cook with oils, use mayo, or eat nuts. If you've been up that long, then those calories won't go to waste! Your body knows when it's hungry. Good luck losing those five pounds. I have a few pounds left to lose, but I'm really hoping to be able to lose them on my own. I'm on p4d14 so May is the earliest I can do another round. I would really like to be able to lose the weight myself by going to the gym rather than go through this mentally challenging process again (although it DOES work).
Mommy to 7, ages 2 years through 14 years and step-mommy to two more

    Round 1:
    10/2/10 186 lbs.
    LDW 162.3
    12/21/10 156.6

    Round 2:
    1/1/11 155.2 (preload weight)
    1/3/11 161.2 (load weight)
    2/19/11 136.0 (LDW)

    Round 3: p2d1: 165
    12/11/12 LDW: 136

    Round 4: p2d1 1/25/13
    P3D1 126.4

    Round 5: finished at 142

I'm right there with you. Too bad my 6-7 pounds I had to lose at the end of this dreadful round turned into 12-13!!! R3 starts May 1.

That's when I will start if I can't do it on my own also. Hope it's easier than Round 2!!! Yikes, that was hard.
