Headed to P3 with food questions (creamer, meats, etc)

    Hi,

Has anyone tried the https://drinksupercoffee.com/product...super-creamer? They supposedly are carb & sugar free, so are they P3 acceptable? Also I want to eat more than chicken in P3. Can you give me your opinion on these foods for P3:

    Salmon
    turkey burgers/no bun
    turkey legs/ or wings
    all steaks

    greek dressing
    almond milk
    almonds

    sweet potatoes
    okra fried
    greens

Since you have greek dressing on your list which usually has some feta cheese in it, I'm assuming you don't need to be dairy free.

Is there any reason you can't use heavy cream or half & half? That would be preferable to a non-dairy creamer just because its better to use whole unprocessed foods in P3. (It really does help you avoid pitfalls.) But the creamer you list would be fine for P3.

Sweet potatoes are better left for P4 as well as most other root vegetables. Fried okra is fine if you don't bread it with anything starchy.

The rest of your list is good. Don't limit yourself to just a few items, choose freely from non-starchy veggies and protein options. And get some fruit in there--at least berries. P3 is not about being super low carb--the only rules are to avoid sugar and starch.

    HI Leez,

I can use half & half but it doesnt have a flavor like the others so I wanted something to else to try. I can eat dairy, but I havent tried it too much with my rds for fear of gaining, but the greek dressings I have found have 1 or less carb & sugars. Also, how much do increase my portions starting day 1 P3--for example, im eating 3.5oz of meat now, do I double it, and the 1 cup of veggies, or just the meat? I dont want to overdo it in the beginning.

Rather than control portions, try to eat normal portions, but continue eating until satisfied. Satisfied is not full or stuffed. It is that point where you don't really need the next bite. It takes practice to recognize that point, but learning your body's hunger and satisfaction signals is really important to your success in P4.

Here is some information on hunger signals that may help: https://hcgdietinfo.com/how-to-know-...-you-are-full/

Basically, you want to eat reasonable portions of protein, and unlimited amounts of veggies to fill up. Fats are very important in P3 for satisfaction and fueling--because your capacity will be minimal, at least for the first few days. Don't skimp on good fats: avocado, olive oil, pastured butter, coconut oil, MCT oil.
