Help! Failing P3 and scared to eat

Help!!! I am on R4 day 3 of Phase 3. I did R1 excellently and stabilized well, went right into R2 and met goal. Stabilized but then weight crept back up in Phase 4. So about a year later I did R3- had learned I didn't tolerate sugar or gluten too well with my first 2 Phase 4's, so thought I had it all figured out, and forgot the no starch part of R3 Phase 3, since I knew I didn't tolerate gluten, and just did no gluten- didn't stabilize well and regained. So just finished R4 3 days ago- did great and met goal (well almost- within 2#), but started P3 following the rules, and have gained 1.8# each of the 2 days. First day I followed Phase 2 diet foods for breakfast and lunch and then had cheese pizza with cheese & egg crust for dinner. I shredded the cheese myself, too. I also had 4 small pieced of cocoa crack after dinner. Next day up almost 2#! So, thought maybe I don't tolerate cheese well and tried again. Day2 I had an apple for breakfast, avocado on my chicken, tomato, lettuce salad for lunch, carb free meatballs with asparagus (Phase 2 approved) for dinner and 3 Phase 3 peanut butter cookies (PB, egg, Xylitol, baking soda, and sugar free choc chips) after. Still up another 1.8# today. That is 3.6# in 2 days, so needless to say I am doing a steak day today, but I don't know how to proceed after today. I do SO well with Phase 2, and have great willpower, but really want this to be my last round. How do I maintain from here, and what am I doing wrong? Vets, please help!

Peanut butter isn't allowed in P3. It's a legume not a nut. Did you do a steak day yet? That's the prescription when you are more than 2 pounds up from your LIW.

I'm doing my steak day today. I guess I'm still confused about the rules. I thought it was just no sugars and no starches in P3. Is there a list of approved foods that I can look at?

Peanuts are a starch. They are a legume.

Update- My steak day didn't do as well as I'd hoped- lost 1.6#, but still up >2 from LDW so did a FFF day today. I hope to be back to LDW tomorrow, and then will follow Janeen's protocol for P3 from there unless anyone else has a good P3 protocol or advise.
