My last round of HCG I did Keto for Phase 3...... I had no issues and I maintained my weight (with-in the 2 pound mark) for almost 9 months. Then vacations and birthdays and so on caught up with me and I fell off the wagon and I am now doing HCG again LOL....

I can only speak to my own personal experience as everyone is different and as Leez mentioned to you diets affect men different than women.

If you do it just watch your Macro's... Google "Ketogains" to calculate them. (if you do it)

I switched to keto after my first HCG round. I do still have to watch calories, but keto is so satisfying that I maintain my losses very well. It has also helped me reverse Type 2 diabetes - my A1c is back to normal without medications.

Maybe non-diabetics have adrenal issues with keto, but I do not. My doctor says low carb diets cause the body to shed electrolytes (salt) so I do make sure to get enough, usually by having salty broth or bouillon a couple of times per day.

Grammy, do you know which part of keto is the culprit of the impaired adrenals ó the high fat or the restricted carbs? (I believe itís around 20g net per day). Iím thinking of going semi-keto. Eating high good fats, moderate protein, and low carbs but not 20/day. More like 40ish (net).

I am interested in this as well... I’ve been wanting to do a sort of “modified” Keto after my last round. From what I’ve read your macros are based on what you want to achieve. To maintain your carbs are higher, moderate protein, and high healthy fats. Calories do count too but when you are eating the right amount Of healthy fats you normally don’t eat as much, thus calories are naturally lower. Removing sugar and starchy carbs as a diet mainstay are what it’s all about. Fiber, protein, and healthy fat. When you look at it, you do eat a significant amount of carbs, but only count the net carbs. That stays low when you eat “healthy” carbs, they have a high fiber content. I do however want to be able to indulge in the occasional glass of wine, lo-carb beer or vodka and soda, baked potato or maybe even a few fries once in awhile. I think it can be done. I’m totally ok with a cauliflower crust for my pizza!! Anyway, I expect to be entering P3 around 6/23 and would like to know how eating this way will work. One thing I can say is that Keto stopped my weight gain... I’ve been sedentary since last fall from a knee injury, had surgery in April and was climbing up and up... I switched to Keto and stopped the gain in its tracks, I now am back to hCG, back to walking, to get it off fast and return to “normal” life again. I found Keto “very” satisfying and hope it will work t keep me at my goal weight.

Grammy recently posted that she keeps carbs around 50g/day: HERE

(7 pounds were lost in a previous round. They still live in my ticker for motivation.)
