regardless of whether the food is low carb or not, certain foods should not be eaten in P3. Some of them are in that bread. Sorry
No bread. It has starch in it.

The oopsie rolls are great! I also make nutflour other breads with no grain. Grammy's minute muffin without the chocolate or sweatener makes a great "bread." Look on the P3 Food Porn thread for some terrific recipes!
Keep in mind, you need to try the nut that the "bread" will be made from before using it as flour. I couldn't do almonds 'cause I had a sensitivity to almonds, so where some recipes called for almond flour I used brazil nut, pecan meal or coconut flour. One recipe called for flax meal and I subbed other nut flours, just because I didn't have flax on hand.

No bread, but coconut's allowed ...
Looking at recipes for coconut bread, there are a few that seem like they'd be easy to addapt to P3. For example: http://nourishedkitchen.com/coconut-flour-bread/
Coconut Flour Bread: Ingredients
* 3/4 cup coconut flour (see sources)
* 1/2 cup ghee (see sources), plus extra for greasing the pan
* 6 eggs
* up to two tablespoons honey
* 1/2 teaspoon unrefined sea salt
It looks pretty good and, used occasionally, might make decent chicken sandwiches, burgers, flat-bread for curry, etc.
Any1 tried this? Coconut has zero sugars and *I think* zero starch, can any1 see a reason I shouldn't give this a try?
Hi TrevorLikely -
I haven't tried this version and am not sure why this bread has "zero sugars" . . . honey is a carbohydrate with 17g carbs per tablespoon. 4g carbs equals 1g sugar in the bloodstream, they say. I stay away from honey . . . maybe you could use Stevia mixed with a little water instead?
definitely no honey in P3. some people get away with occasionally eating something like low-carb tortillas in P3, but 3 wks is not that long- safer just to wait.

I agree, I wouldn't add the honey, but adding in some herbs, salt, what not looked nice. Actually now I look again it has "<1g" of sugars ... so not much but probably should still avoid I guess.
