That looks good, Leez! Thank you! Worcestershire sauce has sugar in it though so I was avoiding recipes with it in it but I may make MissM's recipe! Nature's Hollow BBQ sauce also looks good!

    I also found these:

I was thinking I could replace the dates with Swerve. I like the complexity of the ingredients as it will add depth to it.

    This one looks interesting too:

You can leave out the worchestershire. Its incidental.

I think the allspice ingredient is what makes the recipe special.

    True! Thanks!

    Yes, allspice is great!

Wheeeeee!! This makes me SO HAPPY, Leez--THANK YOU!! Seriously. This may be the best birthday present I receive this year (though in fairness, BF has already given me a new FitBit and the air fryer I've been wanting, so don't tell him I said this). A very legit looking BBQ sauce from a fellow Texan gal?!? I just put in my order for liquid smoke, and I'll most certainly be making this. . . . yippppeeeee!!

YAY! Thank you so much!! I doubt the Elana's pantry one will be sweet enough with only OJ as a sweetener, but you never know. I just think it's so hard to get that spicy sweet tang right without a real sweetener. The dates might be enough in the against all grains recipe, but since I'm now playing around with these P3 sugar substitutes, I think I'll give Leez's recipe a shot.

I won't be starting until about a week after you. I'm actually going to take the first week of January to have my legumes, do some oily massage treatments, dye my hair, do all the things I won't be able to do on P2--but I'm also dedicated to getting in eight weeks of stabilization from the first round, so that's the timing for me. But there will be plenty of overlap.

When last since you have seen the Boyfriend? is he going to be in for a surprise?? I know you guys are back into stricter lockdown again...The virus does like the cold weather... so for now we have a it more freedom, although I am taking it easy and don't frequent heavily populated places... Are you going to be able to celebrate with a few friends as well??
I really have been treating myself, haven't I?

It's been seven weeks since we had a quick visit and months since we've had any proper time together. No celebration with friends, I'm afraid. We're all taking this quite seriously. But I'll be glad to see BF if only for a few hours.

Maple syrup is sugar, part sucrose, part fructose
    Agave is sugar, mostly fructose

    Neither is low glycemic.

I sweeten my version with stevia extract. I've found one that I can get thing very sweet without aftertaste or bitterness. It took me several years of trying different brands. If anyone is interested it is Yungas Green available through naturamericas.com They will send you a pretty good sized sample for $5.
