    MrsS...
I don't know if "Rib Burgers" have taken off in the US... here we have a meat factory that debones ribs and then compress it to look like a rib with all the marinade and trimmings to taste just like ribs, just no bones.... I have one in the freezer for a Braai (BBQ) maybe around new years before we start again....

MissM.... Totally agree about not eating enough...its exactly why I frett so much to get calories up....

To both of you and Leez...Coco.... wherever I read I read that Maple Syrup and Agave nectar is considered a Keto-Friendly "sticky sweetener"
now I know that honey also falls in that category but not feeling comfortable.... I have 1 recipe I want to try that asks for a "sticky sweetener"....any suggestions?

Keep me posted, please! Finding a good paleo/keto bbq sauce recipe is something I've been working on for a while now with no success. I did find a terrific paleo Worcestershire sauce recipe, however, that you might want to use: https://iheartumami.com/paleo-worces...container-6198 It's just a great sauce overall, but not a replacement for BBQ.

What you're describing sounds like the McRib, a sandwich McDonalds comes out with once a year, minus the bun.

Are you sure about maple syrup, agave, and honey being keto friendly? They're all quite high in sugar/carbs. I know maple syrup and honey are considered OK in some paleo circles and agave is considered lower on the glycemic index than other natural sweeteners in some camps, but I'd question their being OK for P3. And I'm sorry but I don't have any alternative "sticky sweeteners" to suggest that might be keto-friendly.

    Day 17

Busy day today starting with my annual exam, then the dentist, then my therapist, then pilates. Probably some student meetings and grading after that, and then I get to make my birthday cake for tomorrow! I still don't know if my boyfriend is coming over tonight or tomorrow, so that may affect things.

Weight is up a pound this morning to 144. It's such a relief to be OK with that, to not need to understand why, to just go with the flow as far as the scale is concerned for the first time in my life.

I have so much food prepared as well as more food to prepare for the holiday that I can have beef, lamb, or pork--Moroccon, Italian, or Vietnamese flavors--at any moment, and will soon have more turkey than I can probably fit in the freezer. Soups and stew in the freezer, too, if I'm feeling soupy. I love leftovers.

It seems I'm entering a period of my life that's all about comfort and security, and I'm not mad about it. Yesterday I ordered myself some new winter pajamas, darling house shoes/slippers with arch support, and a lifelong wish list item I found on clearance: a cashmere robe! I even got the robe monogrammed. And you should see my new king size bed covered in high thread count linens and mounds of pillows--with my black-out curtains that match. It's a dream, and I sleep like a little bear in a cave. Guess I'm looking forward to hibernating and winter.

It's actually the perfect time to do another round of HCG, i was thinking. Winter is the most appropriate time for fasting of one kind or another, and P2 really is a fast of a sort. With the pandemic raging and shutdowns likely continuing, it makes doing protocol almost effortless on a social level.

Anyway, I'm already thinking ahead as I decide when to get shipments of what kind of meat, etc., and can't help but look at my body in the mirror and realize there's still stubborn fat to be lost on another round. Again, really glad we're in this together, and I look forward to witnessing each other's journeys!

In my mind it is not Ok for P3... but would be nice if Leez or Coco can make a recommendation

You make me smile.... All the treats you treated yourself with, feels like it is an indulgence to you.... and I know its stuff you had planned for, but so nice to spoil yourself without food stuffs.. You most certainly sound ready for Winter hibernation

When last since you have seen the Boyfriend? is he going to be in for a surprise?? I know you guys are back into stricter lockdown again...The virus does like the cold weather... so for now we have a it more freedom, although I am taking it easy and don't frequent heavily populated places... Are you going to be able to celebrate with a few friends as well??

Natures Hollow makes a xylitol sweetened honey and maple syrup. I think they also have a barbecue sauce. Available on Amazon.

This is the barbecue sauce recipe I like the best so far. She gives several sweetener options:

Anything goes on keto as long as you stay under the amount of carbs that keeps you in ketosis. 2T has 34 grams of carbs. So I would say that no, you can't have those in keto. Paleo though is another thing. They are considered paleo.

Sounds like an intense day! Be good to you!
WOW on the cashmere robe! So nice! It all sounds really nice. A silver lining of staying home: It is getting cozier by the day here too. I don't mind fall and winter at all.

So glad we are in this together too! When do you start? I think I will be loading 12/31 and 1/1, or 1/1 and 1/2. But I think the former because that way I feel like I can eat on New Year's eve and make it count!

This is our third peak. We had one this summer too So I think you are right to stay cautious!

We are only having my oldest come home. He lives on his own and aside from work he has been isolating. Still nervous about it
