Thread: Good news!

    Good news!

So yesterday was my first day of p3 and my weight was 127 that morning. My LIW is 125. I was so pleasantly surprised to wake up today and I had to do a double take my wight was 122.2! Where'd that come from?

Yesterday I was barely hungry but I did enjoy a brunch bowl of ground beef with chopped onions and hot sauce and then a late afternoon chocolate collagen peptides protein shake with coconut milk and then for dinner a bowl of ground beef with mushrooms, onions and salsa. Mmmm.

Anyways I was very satisfied and the food was so delicious.

I'm so thankful p3 works! Trust the process as you say Leez! Thanks for your encouragement to just focus on protein and fat yesterday! That sure works well!

Must have been inflammation weight. I'm finally feeling a bit better also.

Sounds like a perfect combo of factors came together for you.

Although, that is such a dramatic shift, that it makes me suspicious of your scale. Especially if you don't "feel" 5 pounds thinner, I would check that, and replace batteries if it gives changing readings on something you know the exact weight of.

It would be tempting to think you should continue on P3 with only protein and minimal veggies, but that could backfire and set you up to start gaining later. Try to start adding in some other P3 foods as you go forward, so you can keep the high protein day for when you need it again.

Oh that is a good idea to check the scale batteries! Yeah, I do feel like my clothes are fitting nicely and do feel on the thinner side as far as they fit. Yes, going to try adding in a few new things and def going to try all the vegetables and going to try some cream cheese and cream in my smoothie later. Today I'm starting to feel a healthy amount of hunger. So that's good.

Don't be afraid to add some fruit too. Berries are a great lower carb choice, but all fruits are allowed in P3.

I have some health issues long standing with reactive hypoglycemia with any forms of fructose so I tend to get sugar cravings when I eat fruit even apples or pomegranites (my favorites) they basically start triggering sugar cravings and my blood sugar dips. While I was on HCG my blood sugar stabilized SO well and I haven't been having swings so that's been amazing so I may expirament with a tiny bit of pomegranite or something but in the past I was often triggered to over eat by any fructose. I am able to do cranberries the frozen unsweetneed type and to me that's a delicious fruit I love.

Great ideas. Been reading old p3 threads and Leez you have excellent advice. Thank you!!!

Well I did an expirament and weighed my 5 year old who always weighs the same and weighed her and she weighs her exact normal amount so the scale has to be right. I think it must have been inflammation from sickness or something weird. Anyways I'm glad the scale isn't wrong. But good idea to check it.

So happy for you that your scale was right. That has to feel awesome.

Cranberries are yummy. I love cooking up whole cranberries with some stevia and a bit of mineral salt to have with my proteins. They are a a dollar a bag at Aldi's right now, so I'm stocking my freezer.

It does feel awesome. I am just so thankful to have more wiggle room and it's crazy how quick I become full on the portion size I used to eat. Def. only able to eat small portions for now. I seem to feel over full from a small bowl of taco meat with onions and veggies and salsa!

Oh and great idea to freeze cranberries for later. We get 25lb boxes frozen from Azure Standard but def would freeze if we couldn't get them from there~ LOVE Aldis! Their produce is fantastic and so well priced too for the quality!

This was comforting woke up to 122.4 so I only went up .2 I was 122.2 yesterday. That means I don't react to dairy hopefully as I had mozzarella cheese on my homemade zuchinni crust pizza (no starch) the recipe was so good parm cheese, mozz cheese and shredded cooked zuchinni with marinara sauce and mozz on top. So thankful dairy isn't a problem so far! I like cheese
