dr0707, do a google search for an injection KIT. Make sure it contains the bacteriostatic water for mixing AND the mixing vial!! I've ordered from cheaphcgsupplies.com and yourhcgsupplies.com before, both good. Heck, I think you can even get them on Amazon now. But, you must mix with the right water, not wound wash!! Bacteriostatic water specifies it's used to mix for multiple doses (has a preservative in it). Wound wash or saline doesn't which means your mix would not be safe to use even if you kept it refrigerated.

I've done 3 rounds injections, 1 round drops. I found the injections SO much easier and convenient, NO muss, NO fuss. Just let them come to room temperature before injecting, you won't hardly feel a thing, and you're done for the day. I think its way easier to control and manage your dose, too.

ibJ9, I think with FMD the key is to prepare ahead. Just like when you're on P2 or P3, you want to have something mapped out. The jist I get from it is yes, you have specific foods and combinations on specific days - I bought two cookbooks to make sure the meals would have variety and I'd include the right ingredients. The negative comments I've heard have been specifically about the phase 3, it seems if you gain on FMD, that's where it's gonna happen.

AFM, didn't weigh this morning. I practice bowled night before last, then league bowled last night. By the time league was done, I could feel my left knee ballooning up and was it SORE!. So, got home, iced it, took Demerol, and hit the hay. Woke up constantly every time I moved from sharp pains, took another Demerol this morning, and basically vegged all day. Had a couple webinars for work and some paperwork this afternoon. Its just now starting to feel ok - couldn't hardly bend it Spent all day wishing I could've just had the surgery next week instead of waiting till January, but that's how it is right now. So, knew I'd be up but it's swelling, so why look?? Eesh, crappy day. Hubby and I agreed, no more practicing, my knees just cannot take it. Frankly, the less I do right now the better off I am. Can hardly wait till January, just be done with it.

Ok, enough belly aching. Hope everyone's having a great Friday night!!

Hi guys, I am almost ready to start week 3 of R1P4. I have been reading along during my P3 &4 and can't thank you all enough for all of your thoughts and insights! I decided to do the FMD for p4 because I don't really do well without guidelines. It really appealed to me that I could eat healthily and heal my metabolism. Also, I was petrified I would gain the 30 lbs I lost in P2! Anyway, I know some of you were looking into the FMD so I thought I would share my experiences. It has been 2 weeks and it is really wonderful. I have lost 6 lbs so far and I think I am finally in the groove. The app helps tremendously. It is hard to start with because it is a lot of preparation. But all of the dinner meals I made from the book on week 1, I froze and had almost no cooking to do for week 2. I hope to just repeat that for the next two weeks. The weekends are tricky with making sure I eat according to phase and every 2-3 hours. I have had some slip ups in the weekend, and still lost. So I am really happy. If I can answer any specific questions I will!

I am gearing up for R2 on thanksgiving. I know some people would rather wait until Jan., but I need to be on some program to stay on track with during the holidays. And I just want this weight gone already! I have also read about r2 being harder and I'm getting nervous for that. I know I probably will not lose 30 lbs again, but i was hoping for 20! Hopefully healing my metabolism a bit will help make the round a success.

Well, I did end up having to do a Fage day yesterday.....and thanks to Blue for explaining it to me, I also lost 2.2 lbs!! Yay!!

And I sometimes "feel fat" one day compared to another day. And it doesn't always correspond to my weight being higher or anything. Don't really know what that's about. My clothes still will fit fine, and sometimes looser. I think it is mostly just the mental thing of not believing I am as small as I am, and the years of always feeling fat.

Welp started p4 yesterday. I ate a small boiled potato with butter and sour cream and then started reading p4 posts and saw a lot of ppl who said starch and fat together is a no no and all kinds of other scary stuff and conflicting info. Ugggh. Im .2 under LDW this morning but worried about tomorrow. Im not going to eat any other carbs for the next two days until I see what happens. Any tips blue? Id hate to think that I could never have fat and starch together again.

I also didnt eat much this again this weekend so if I do gain, its gonna be hard to isolate the culprit. Feeling frustrated.

Well, P3D20 for us. On to P4 Wednesday! We're stabilizing pretty good (this morning hubby was exactly at his LIW and I was .4 under). I'll have to start reading up on P4 in the next day... Any quick words of advise?

Dr0707, see what the scale says, but calm down . You will always have posts where "some people" react one way or recommend something. Keep in mind this is about how your body reacts to different foods and combinations, so you won't know until you try, okay?

Yay for P4!! Take it slow, weigh, correct when needed, and enjoy!

AFM, I've been really, really bad since Friday. I have been ravenous, haven't weighed but feel bloated and swollen. I haven't had sugar at all, just some hummus with fabulous rice crackers (gluten free). I think the Demerol is still working its way out of my system, feel kind of fruity as well 😜. Gonna do a FFF day today I think, with high protein days the next couple of days. I will be traveling, so that should be easy enough. I'm very sensitive to my fluctuations now, can pretty well guess where I'm at, so figure there's a couple pounds that really need to go!

Hi all! Had family visit this weekend. Came off protocol for the first time. I had a cobb Friday night which I thought was perfectly on protocol and I was up 2 lbs the next day. Saturday, I ate protocol and was down 1 lb. But yesterday...I broke down at lunch with my gr-nephew, and had my first sandwich, on sourdough parmesan toast. It was one of the best sandwiches ever and, decided a correction was worth it. My stomach felt funny, almost a little bit sick. Then ended up at an italian restaurant last night and could not resist the foccacia. I figured, we shall see...we know how to correct. So, the end result was only up 1 lb this am. I am pleasantly surprised. I've been reading up on corrections, especially FFF. All in all, it was really good to see I can eat something that good, (no potatoes though, which would have been the norm in the past), and correct as need. My P4 was supposed to start this Wednesday.

So again...goodness, without this forum I would have been lost. I am grateful for the input here, thank you.

blue, my nephew was eating rice crackers with cheese Saturday as we watched TV. It was driving me crazy!!! Hope you feel better.

    fkdd, good luck!

Hang in there, dr!! You're almost done, then can have that stuff if you want!!! I've wanted cup cakes, too, go figure - anything decadent and sweet. I'm just mentally over this because I know my weights totally gonna blow during my recovery, grrrrrr

I WANT CAKE TOO! lol. Took nephew yesterday to the local bakery where he loves the chocolate ganache cupcakes. I bought 4 for him to take on the road back home. I didn't have any...but boy did I want it. Which I thought if you didn't have sugar you wouldn't crave it.

I keep telling myself, "chocolate cake will be there" when I'm finished with P3. AFM, I ended up doing a steak day today...haven't eaten all day and frankly, it was easier today than it was the first time...although all I can think about is food. lol. No headache today like last time. I am drinking ACV water and coffee while at work.
