    Working out on P3

I am sure there is a lot of info on this but I was hoping to get it all in one discussion. I am on my last injection today and starting P3 on the 6th. I did not work out during P2 because I heard it wasn't a good idea, however I would like to start working out again in P3. Is that a good idea or should I wait to P4? I want to do this right so any input will be great! Thank you in advance.

This is my second cycle of HCG and the first time I didn't workout or do anything. This time however, I have worked out the entire time... AVOID cardio, and listen to your body, if you feel dizzy STOP. I have been doing weights and yoga/pilates and I feel so much better than I did the first time!! My results are even better. I am currently in the last 5 days of phase 2 and getting ready to start phase 3. You should be fine working out in phase 3, including cardio because you're going to be consuming more calories. Good luck!

I would like to know as well. Today is my last day of taking drops and my weight as of this morning is 172.4. For me to have normal BMI, my max weight should be 171 lbs. I want to loose upto about 165 lbs by cardio. My other plan is to build some muscles and possibly 6 pack. without any weight more than 165 lbs.
Can I start that work out in P3 or should I stick to my LIW in P3, and start the work out in P4?

    Any help will be appreciated.

My opinion on this is to wait till p4 for working out. You want to reset your weight. HCG is a hormonal diet , not a calories in calories out diet. Your body is trying to find it's new set point, heavy workouts may disrupt that process. maybe just light workouts if you feel you really need it.

I was a gym rat for years...cardio makes you feel good, but can lead to muscle wasting and won't affect your weight, best to lose that " kill yourself at the gym and watch your calories" mentality, it's pointless and does not work. Weight bearing workouts and short bursts of cardio are the way to go to lose fat and increase muscle. I do Ashtanga and hot yoga , that's what works for me (p4)

I'm missing my weights terribly! I need it mentally.....I'm not a body builder by any means but like to do some light weights. I'm fine with holding off on the cardio. I'm struggling with having to wait with this. I'm a 5-6x a week gym'r. I'm doing 6 weeks of LR and then another round...p2 and then LR. So if I avoided exercise that'd put me at early July. I know I can't wait that long.

I am finishing my 3rd week of P3. I went back to cardio the first 2 days then started strength training with weights on day 3. I get a little excited about working out. I noticed that when I lifted really heavy and made my muscles sore, that I would gain 2 to 3 pounds, most likely water retention from the Bmuscles trying to recover. I didn't do steak days because I know the lifting causes these gains. It always comes back down. Just something to think about. Stay hydrated, eat lots of protein and you will do great with the workouts. I forgot to mention I have done this after 2 rounds.

Thank you so much!! I started crossfit and I am 1 week into P3, staying very stable. I am excited and eating Paleo which seems to help. Great job!!!

I like crossfit too! Have fun working out, and good luck in p3. I started adding starches yesterday. I love p4. I get to eat less fat now.

I'm 13 days into LR/p3. I went to the gym for the first time yesterday on my lunch and did weights. Just weights no cardio. Hopped on the scale this morning up 1.5 lbs. I'm utterly disappointed. I read Caligirl that you said you thought it was the water retention. SO did your weight end up going back down afterwards? I didn't eat my BAB this morning ...doing a steak day in hopes to get back within my LIW. I'm 2.5 over that weight.
I'm doing this LR until May 12-13. I'm loading those days and then doing a short 2nd round of hcg and will do p3/possibly LR after that. If I strayed from exercise entirely through all of this that'd put me mid July. I'm struggling because I need exercise for mental happiness as well.

Any thoughts, suggestions, opinions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Similar happened to me. I went to gym yesterday, did cardio for half an hour. Weight up 2 pounds.. I am doing an egg day today. If it doesn't fix, I am going to do apples day (P2) tomorrow.

Muddy - keep me posted...I'll watch this thread to see what your results are. I was very displeased. This is the biggest gain I've seen in my LR/p3 thus far. I'm doing a steak day. I've been drinking plenty of water today and will have a steak in an hour or so. I'm surprised my hunger hasn't been more up until now. I'm pretty hungry. I hope like heck the scale corrects itself tomorrow....fingers crossed.

Actually my weight went back today. So no need for apples day. I was not very strict on egg day either yesterday. Except I didn't had dairy or nuts. I also had an apple tart cocktail at a bar. And in dinner, I even add plenty of green onions in my scrambled eggs.

I also did heavy weight lifting work out yesterday. And my body didn't scream or added extra pounds.
