    Question P3 food question

Hi, I have another P3 food question. Sorry, can't seem to find the answers in the search. Can I make ranch dressing with "Hidden Valley Ranch" seasoning packet (dry mix) mixed with my homemade yogurt and sour cream? On the ingred. the first is maltodextrin...I think that might be bad? But it says 0 carbs and 0 sugars. Everything else looks OK.

Also, are apples and strawberries allowed on P3??? maybe in week 2 or 3?? I loved apples as an evening snack in P2. How about blueberries?

Malodextrin = sugar. No go on the ranch packet.

If you want fruit the first week of P3 stick with berries. Apples are high in carbs so try to hold off on those until farther into P3.

Just for future reference... most things ending in “ose”, “tol” or "dextrin" are a form of sugar!

I haven't had any problems using any ranch. I had a salad at Cheesecake Factory the other night with their ranch with no problems. I also had a salad at home with a regular bottle of ranch and had no problems.
