    I may have messed up today...so no melba toast or grissini on P3? I know I read somewhere to continue with same foods as P2 and increase protein...but may be dreaming.

    No carbs whatsoever......so I'd kick em' out. If you aren't having a problem feel free to keep em' in but the vets say "outta there."

    I busted my chops working out tonight! WHEW! That brings me to ask the following:

    If you are someone who works out during P3, do you eat after your workouts and if yes, what do you eat?

    Janet: Now you know I have been working out (including P2) as well as our rogue Wendy training for the marathon.....where is she???

    I vary my eating and here's why:

    • For some of my workouts I have to do them on an empty stomach --- BIKRAM Yoga and some cardio --- in which case I will have an orange 30 min before hand and drink 64 OZ of water while working out. Then eat my dinner afterwards.
    • When lifting, I eat beforehand since I find I lift heavier with food in there. But I wait 1 hour after eating to lift.


    Of course my calories are lower than yours....that darn resting metabolism rate.

    I will also tell you I historically (Livestrong) have a slight loss after weight lifting say .2 pounds the next morning which tends to stay. I also notice that my muscle/fat ratio has been better on my scale....and my BMI has increased (also partly due to the fat loss!)

    For BIKRAM --- significantly more close to 1-1.5 pounds below LIW but it comes back slowly. But much of that I suspect is water weight since we do this in 105 degree room for 1.5 hours and sweat like no ones business. But my skin glows.....and I sleep like a rock! LOVE the BIKRAM!!!

    Thanks for that info Val. Glad today was the first day and only had one Melba toast at lunch.

    Janet, that is so neat that Val found your poems. I have chuckled reading how you two are so much alike.

    Thanks to all for sharing info...sure makes this easier to handle.

    Good Thursday Morning:

    Not sure what I did but I'm down below LIW from yesterday. Not much change in my diet and I didn't work out last night. Strange.

    Tonight I am going to see Janet Jackson! I am excited....I have seen her once before and the venue is somewhat small. She is doing a tour of all her hits called "Ones."

    I didn't see if any of you else are working out......so are you?

    So, tom has left the building along with my numerous pig outs of Almonds , Cocoa Crack & Pork Rinds.
    And he pushed me out of 138- where I have been for most of P3 and the last week of P2.
    Which is wonderful, becasue I have a weigh in on Friday with the DR..who , HA HA HA said I could lose another 10 lbs in P3. ---Has he read P & L . I think not.

    Last night I did a extremely tough class of pilates and I kept getting muscle cramps in my feet. Looks like I might need some Potassium.

    Hmm Potassium --- I have never heard this. So you had cramping cause I get that also when I am pole dancing (I know!) and during yoga. I just assumed it was those high heels that I so very much love!

    I never got legs cramps when doing Pilates or Yoga before. Although I did get them when I was pregnant.
