    P3 Progress

    Hello everyone,

Today is my first day of P3. Feeling good. My LIW is 122.6 however I woke up to 123.9 today. Which I am not sure why might just be water weight or inflammation. I ate 500 calories yesterday no fat for my 2 transition VLCD on no HCG. Might just be normal fluctuations.

I had my typical first breakfast of 1/2 cup farm fresh ground beef on sauteed mushrooms, onions and lots of other veggies. So delicious and flavorful. Had that left over for lunch and now was hungry so had a collagen peptides chocolate smoothie. I haven't added in dairy yet.

I'm going to be doing some of HCG Chica's recipes from her P3 to Life book and following some of her plan. We'll see how that goes I needed some new recipes to try.

123 this morning so things settled. I think it was inflammation weight as I was feeling unwell yesterday. I have been focusing on hunger and noticing when I'm getting full. That's what is so great about getting off of p2 it's really clear if you are hungry or full.

I tried cheese yesterday. I did ok with it. Woke up to 123.6. I'm not very hungry this morning. Def. like how it's easy to tell if I'm hungry or full right after P2. Hope that stays. It's so helpful!

Indeed.... P2 cleansing can really awaken those hunger signals. It is such a help because getting in touch with those signals usually takes a lot of practice. But P2 kind of jump starts that for us.

I so agree! I waited till I was hungry for breakfast as I had to do a few things this morning and then ate like 3/4 a cup lean ground beef with sauteed veggies and then when I was finished I felt over full. I felt bad I didn't realize till too late but just going to take less on a serving and be slower to eat it and notice how I feel.

Leez, I think I remember you saying you take smaller portions and slow the eating to be able to notice saity more easily? My serving sizes were too big likely before and that's why I needed another round LOL so this time to maintain need to make sure my servings are not too big or creep up. LOL

Yes, slowing down will help you find that "last bite" threshold. If you are having trouble finding it, take a few minute break about halfway through your meal, then try to determine if you are still hungry, or if you feel satisfied.

That is such a good reminder Leez. That is what I'm focusing on. Just noticing signals better and encouraging myself when I follow and try to get to that 80 percent full feeling and stop there and remind myself that I will eat more at next meal. I think we have to be our own cheer leaders as no one else is when we are establishing new habits so I told myself I'll really celebrate the wins when I stop at 80 percent full instead of at that almost overfull feeling.

Was 123.7 this morning after trying something last night I had a snack at 8 pm. I didn't have too but I wanted to see what would happen and I think it does affect the next day. I am going to see if stopping at 5:30 tonight it goes back down.

Yesterday morning I was 123 and had stopped eating at 5:30 and had fresh squeezed green vegetable and lemon juice before bed.

Leez, I was just reading your article on IF and HCG and it's such a good reminder. I agree. I also find that I do well with a decent breakfast and not waiting too long to eat it. But I tend to not need to eat much at night and best if I end eating after supper. My only exception is an all green juice/smoothie with celery, parsley, cucumbers and lemons. That is fine. But other foods just make me feel heavy and I feel better just fasting that time. Sharing the link for others in p3: https://hcgdietinfo.com/intermittent-fasting-hcg-diet/

I tried IF longer and different schedules before my last round and I didn't loose weight in fact it made me struggle with feeling like overeating during my window. So I think it's not the best method for me other than not eating after my supper meal. I don't like the focus on restriction.

Some really good observations, MissJess. I think that for IF to work for weight loss, your hormones have to be in balance. Many of us have thyroid or metabolic syndrome issues which means IF can throw those conditions further out of whack by ignoring hunger and eating by the clock. Adrenals and thyroid end up getting starved, and blood sugar levels can get more out of normal range from ignoring hunger, and over-eating within the window.

The green smoothie at night is an excellent way to deal with avoiding a big fueling event at night. Any addition of low glycemic veggies helps your body processes. It also assists its nightly cleansing activities.
