Thumbs up P3 and the Shangri La Diet / set point

Okay, to all who are on P3... I just came off p3 and you know, the up and down was happening. Then I remembered this diet I did back in 07'.. Just wanted to share the audio book with you guys. so have a good listen.., Of course :duh: I do the oil part of it. Also google for all the experimental type, there is a forum for it.

Okay so the book link didn't work. But here is the amazon info or the local library. I mean it was popular back in 07'

I started SLD on day 2 of P3 and it set everything right, immediately

I thought this might be a little rouge, but then p3 doesn't have a def outline... All it is, is taking a few shots of flavorless oil, much like the pellets/drops, with a larger window.

Okay, I have to say that I am stabilizing awesome with this "method". I had a suprise bday for my DH and had some of the Trader joes ice cream and a piece of cake. I was expecting the dreaded gain from the sweets.... followed by a steak day

but the scale is holding at my LIW...

    Food for thought,

    but not the sweets.

Wow...really interesting. I read this article which pretty much explains it. Reminds me a little of those "slim shots"(?) that you take before meals? They are sold in most drugstores but have mainly oils in them. I actually like this version better. The only thing troubling was the fact that Roberts has had to remain on a 1200 maintenance diet but at least he isn't hungry!

Someone on the Hcg diet here, takes a tablespoon of coconut oil every evening and has been reporting great losses, even in the later part of P2, maybe this guy is on to something. I'm going to try a piece of cocoa crack an hour before meals.

■Oil: About one to two tablespoons of oil per day, perhaps half in mid morning or half in mid afternoon (or perhaps in three doses). A tablespoon of oil contains about 120 calories; 2 tablespoons contain about 240 calories and is equivalent to a fluid ounce, or about 30 milliliters of oil.

@New me, I had done the oil shots in 07' by themselves w/o extra dieting (before kiddo) and then I think I just forgot about them till last week. (after kiddo) putting the two diets together seems like a charm.

@Sabina, I was actually thinking about adding the CO to my 2nd round per this method. I will have to look up and see if I can find the post about it or is that what is in italics?

Of course, if you can make the CO oil flavorless i.e. holding your nose while downing and chasing with water, then it will lower your set point (the internal thermostat) even lower. Thus I think making your losses (not the fat) stick better.

I know roberts states that double your weight and use that as your flavorless calorie allotment. So right now I am taking 3T (seperated throughout the day) of ELOO (extra light olive oil) of course I can't add olive oil to anything bc that negates the flavorless part...

Granted they are slow losses but I am not trying to lose. I just want to get through the HCG stabilization period... w/o giving myself the guilt trip and steak day if I actually give in and have some frozen yogurt or something like that.

    The end of my musings...

Not sugar for me, but the oil definetly and of course not together...

that was just a piece out of the article NewMe posted a link too. I'm not sure I beleive the tasteless part, but i do believe that anyone can lose and maintain weight with proteins and saturated fats, and I'm starting to think that fats really help with the weight loss.
