    It sounds like you may be a bit backed up with all that protein. I'm a little concerned, too, that you are eating your salads dry. We need lots of good fats in P3. Olive oil and avocado would be excellent additions that will also help lubricate your system.

    You might try an inflammation smoothie as either your first meal of the day or your last one. It might help move things through for you. And if you are having some kind of food reaction, it can calm it down.
    Thank you for pointing a few things out. I was having a hard time eating meat/& veg/& fruit, so I was just making sure to get in the protein. I am experiencing restroom difficulties and inflammation is triggered easily with so many foods, but I am addressing it. I made today a steak day since my first attempt with chicken thighs didn稚 register well. Tomorrow will be meat and veggies plus healthy oils with fruits. I値l give this steak day a chance today, and start tomorrow with the inflammation smoothie (thank you), oils, veggies and hopefully a movement. I値l report back Saturday with my successes or failures.

    I am 0.2 lbs away from 2 lbs gain. I need other options besides a chicken leg day/egg day to stop the gain.

    You should not correct unless you are more than 2 pounds over your LIW.

    I know its nerve wracking, but try to wait it out. The scale may drop back on its own.

    Did you try the inflammation smoothie?

    I haven't yet, I was wondering if there was a protein mix that you would recommend? I have seen a few people say they add a flavored no carb no sugar protein scoop to their coffee or smoothie to up their daily protein? Which ones are p3 safe, Whey, egg or plant based?

    Any protein powder without sugars should be safe. If you are good with eggs, Trader Joes' has a good quality egg white protein powder. Jay Robb whey or egg white protein is a brand that has been used with good results in P2, so seems it would transfer over toe P3 just fine. I'd look for something that is stevia sweetened or with and erythritol/xylitol mix to keep away from chemical sweeteners. Go for whey isolate rather than whey concentrate. Whey concentrate is better suited for gaining weight.

    When I buy whey protein I look for a source that is organic or grassfed, cold-processed and micro filtered or cross filtered. That way you know you are not getting hormones or other additives and that it hasn't been heated to kill nutrients.

    You could also use collagen hydrosylate, which is a gelatin that doesn't gel. And the good ones can be mixed into coffee with out a weird taste. Its a great protein source. Most common brand for that is Great Lakes. I have found great deals on Custom Collagen if you buy a larger size.

    Try to get at least two servings of cooked nonstarchy veggies,each day... you are getting plenty of protein So many veggy choices

    Just a caution...you can overdo protein. After a certain point your body starts to store it instead of use it. If you are getting around 25 grams in a meal, that is about the amount your body can efficiently process.

    Things are working out nicely with the addition of the Inflammation smoothie. The results from my 5lb increase till now葉he steak day done right took 2.4 pounds away, the Inflammation smoothie the next morning and another 1.4 lbs away- definitely noticed the water leaving. I知 now only 1lb over my LIW (11 days ago). YeAA. Thank you so much Leez for the prompt suggestions.
    I知 enjoying veggies in olive oil, homemade dressing, and strawberries with cream. I知 using the inflammation smoothie each morning now. I like it and how it feels. Looking forward to pumpkin anything.

    HI Leez,

    Im still about 1.2 lbs over my LIW, and Im going to try your smoothie now. My question is about the lime & ginger; Do I peel the Lime & leave whole to blend? I have never used fresh ginger, it looks like old tree branches to me, so how much am I suppose to use as a Knob, and do you shave the outer skin or blend it as is?

    1 cup water, 1/2 cucumber, 2 stalks celery, 1 lime peeled, 1" knob fresh ginger. Blend together with water in a high end blender and down it.
    I used english cucumbers which do not need to be peeled. You could do the same with small young cucumbers. I peel the ginger. I don't peel the lime, but I halve then take out the seeds before blending.

    A one inch knob of ginger is roughly about 2 T.

    Is a knob like a chunk you cut off of the Ginger root? And whats the best time of day to drink the smoothie?
