Yes. Just cut off a chunk. Square it off if you like to make about a 1-inch block that you will then blend up in your smoothie. The picture shows the approximate size you want. If the skin is tender you can leave it on. The picture shows how to peel it by scraping with a spoon.

Drink the smoothie as either your first meal of the day or your last one. Just don't pair it with other foods.

Great, I was going to ask when should I drink this; so this is like a meal replacement?

Yes, replace either breakfast or dinner with the smoothie. If your calories aren't high enough for the day and you need to eat dinner, you can do do the smoothie as a snack before bedtime.

Basically, you either want to start your day with it or end your day with it.

Timing doesn't seem to be critical.

    Hi,

IM going to try your smoothie this morning, wish me luck! I also want to add more protein by trying some protein shakes, not for meal replacements but more for supplemental protein once a day/ 1 cup. There are so many out there, my main question is which ones to avoid for P3. I have to choose from Whey, Plant-based, soy; then there are additional ingredients like soy, milk, eggs included, which I am not eating yet so I dont want to have a gain with trying any of that combination. So which ones are best for P3, if Im not eating dairy right now?

Because I am not a big eater, I struggle to get my full quota of protein and calorie in P3 or generally when I am trying to drop a few lbs I always go for the egg albumin one (sure you must have in States as well) and always make sure there are no added growth hormones because with my Breast cancer history that is a no-no for me

I would personally avoid soy since it affects hormones. Also avoid whey concentrate. It is for gaining weight. If you choose whey, choose a whey protein isolate that is cold-processed and micro cross-filtered. Stay away from any that have more than 1 gram sugar, and any that include carageenan, which is a gut irritant. Egg white protein and plant proteins all work fine. Find one that you love the taste and doesn't use sucralose or aspartame as the sweetener. Both of those can mess with your gut and your insulin response. Aspartame has been linked to migraines and neurological side effects.

I actually looked at a plant based one at Vitamin shoppe, no whey or other additives so I will try that one. I finished the Inflammation smoothie, Do I eat normally the rest of the day? I wanted to try the new protein shake, small cup before my mid evening walk, then have a chicken leg dinner?

Yes, eat normally the rest of the day. I'd wait a couple hours after the smoothie before eating again to let it do its thing without any other food interfering.

Okay! How much protein should I eat in P3, so I can calibrate the shake protein with the portions from food?

You want about 25 grams protein in a meal. If you overdo protein, it can be stored as fat similarly to overeating carbs. So go for a good amount of protein but balance it with good fats like olive oil, avocado and real butter.
