Wow, this is great...lots of folks jumping on board! Welcome everyone since I last posted! It's great to see this in P3 since there generally isn't much day-to-day activity on here.

I too had been using hhgc on my rounds and have had good success with them. My first round back in 2010 was a full success; then I had some "false starts" in between then and now my past late Dec./Jan '13 round....luckily, I stuck it out for about 23 days, and so far, I've been stabilizing well. I know you're really supposed to do around 30 days, but my problem with doing the HCG diet is that I get SOOOO bored with the food; not hungry, no craving, just BORED!!! I'm 5'6 and my LDW is 166.5. Actually, I'm quite content right there, but I'd really like to lose another 10 lbs. But once I get thru P3, I'm going to do P4 for 3 weeks (is that right?), and then start exercising and just cut back on some calories to hopefully lose the 10. AND I'm heading for a trip to Mexico with my hubby on May 1st. That's an inspiration for me to lose the extra 10. Anyhoo...

Today on Dr. Oz, I saw that he'll be having a segment on the HCG diet this coming Tuesday. He did have an episode before...maybe a year ago?...but this is a new one. I'll definitely be watching it to see what he says again. And then I ended up posting a message on my Facebook page about it, and sure enough, a few of my FB friends had the usual comments I'm sure most of us have heard..."oh, I've heard that it can cause cancer"; "of course, if you only eat 500 calories, you'll lose weight." I told them to read P&I and research it themselves; then they'll understand why it works. Etc., etc. But it was all discussed in a friendly way, so it's all good. But you all probably have heard it all as well.

As far as the bacon goes, I too have been eating it with no problems; even the bacon with sugar in it. However, I did find some bacon with "no added sugar". It's the Gwaltney brand and I found it in my local Wegman's store. I have also been eating cashew butter instead of peanut butter. I've heard mixed things about it, but so far, it hasn't caused me any problems. I usually eat almond butter, but the store was out of it, so I bought the cashew butter instead. I slice up an apple, and then smear it with the cashew butter. And yep, this is a cheat, but I have put 70% cocoa chocolate on top. But again, no problems.

Herzing ~ don't worry to much about your 0.8 gain. Your body will have it's fluctuations; as long as you don't go over the 2 lbs, you're okay.

Count me in too. This is my first round and now I am on P3 day 6 and Stablizing well! Actually so far I have been under my LIW. I get so anxious right before I step on the scale in the morning, but so far so good! Loaded in Christmas Eve and day and have lost 20 lbs. Hoping to continue to do well with the stabilization....love seeing the 140's even though it is 148 - 149...I didn't think I would ever see that again. Hoping the next round to lose at least 15...wow...that will put me in the 130's. Love all the recipes! Thanks for all the support, could not have done it without this site!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome, ladies (and gents, if any)

All I did on my last two weeks of P2 was read recipes. I don't think that helped with my headspace as I really stalled (under 3 pound loss for two weeks) and was just over the diet. What's weird is that I haven't actually made any of the ones I was fantasizing about, and I'm kinda ready to get back to P2, though I'll sure miss cooking with coconut oil and butter....oh...and I'll definitely miss the stray handful of nuts as a snack at work.

Thanks. Yup, lesson learned. One year I'll decide to stop learning things the hard way, but that seems to be the only way I ever get things through my thick skull. Oh well. I was going to do another steak day on Friday if I'm not down by then, but I just realized that my day is so over-scheduled, I'm not even going to get home until after 9PM. I'll save steak day 'til Saturday, though hoping it won't be necessary.

I worked out continuously through P2, just weight training as my doc told me to avoid cardio stuff, and I kept it fairly light weights. Tonight I really threw in some heavy weights (for me) for the first time in a couple months, so I'm expecting a water-weight gain tomorrow, though would be thrilled if not.

Question for you experienced folks: If you plan on doing another round, is it better to eat P3 up until you start again, or should you try and incorporate P4 foods into the three weeks of P4? I've decided to do a second round in March to take off the last 20 I need to lose, and will be in P4 in nine days.

Hey all! I thought I would join a P3 thread for support. This is my 7th round and I tend to jump into P3 too fast. I am on day 3 today and taking it very slow this time. So far so good. I added fage for 2 days and today I added protein powder. Hubby will also be joining me in P3 on Saturday.

OMG, If it says anything about "sugar" anywhere on the label (or corn syrup, dextrose, maltodextrin, etc) I won't use it. I am terrified of it. Don't want a gain. . .lol.

Officially joining today as I made my last drop day yesterday. Two more days of VLCD and Saturday I can eat CHEESE. . .omg, I miss my cheese. Its funny but its really the only thing I care about now. . .lol.

Can't wait to get on with stabilization. . .

Hi ladies! Back down the .8lbs, don't you just love the rollercoaster ride of P3 In P2 I would triple weigh myself in the am, this round in P3 I am going to try to only do it once since it changes minute to minute!

    Leia, good luck! Finish strong!

Diane, bow was that bacon this am?! You have been so patient waiting for it!

Zig, please do share what Dr Oz has to say! I am not surprised to hear people making uninformed comments about this diet. No one wants to see us succeed. I had a friend say to me, 'oh, so you are basically becoming anorexic for 30 days.' What a slap in the face! I tried to explain wih the fat release my body is getting 1500 cals of fat and 500 cals of food, so prob more total cals than she eats in a day, but you just get the looks. So The only people I tell of my success, wxcept for hubby-to-be, are all of you! I feel like you ladies (and gents) and this website are my best supporters and truly want to see each one of us do well! I know I feel that way toward all of you!

Annie, sounds like you are breezing through! Awesome! What all have you added back in? I just had eggs and Jone's all natural sausage today (at Wegmans, nothing but pork, water and spices!).

Darcy, I posted about cycling in the Jan Loaders page, but Beulah this may be helpful i you are cycling too (meaning jumping into p2 right after p3). You do not go into p4. Here is a link, just one of many on here that can belp

    Tracie congrats on another lb!

Pb that is great you have your hubs to do this with!

Well ladies as our group keeps growing, I may not have enough time in the day for individual shout outs but I still reading about ea one of you and reading of all your success!

    Enjoy the day!!

Down another .4 today!! I love that I am still losing. I lost more this week than the last two on HCG combined! Looks like my protein powder is ok too. Today I am adding in Feta cheese and maybe a slice of cheese on my hamburger. I worry that cheese is what is going to get me. That or the eggs.

Good morning ladies! Our thread certainly is growing! I am on Day 7 of P3, so I have gone a full week. I am at +0.3 LDW so I am well within the safe zone. My hunger is finally increasing which is a good sign.

Stephanie-- great job hitting your goal! You have had an incredibly successful round and are well deserving of some yummy, healthy fats here in P3. I am glad to be a "transistor" with you!

Diane-- let us know how the breakfast went! I was sooooo excited for my first day of P3, but was so stuffed and couldn't eat half of what I had planned to. I hope you are more successful!

Maria-- of course we have a spot saved just for you! You are welcome anytime

Brandy-- I am sorry that your P3 has been difficult. Have you tried making low-carb alternatives to starches? I find that making oopsie rolls really makes me feel like I am eating something I am not supposed to and being able to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on oopsie bread is divine. I don't know if I would go back into P2 though and treat the 10 days as a PI. I've seen a lot of ladies try to go back into P2 and not succeed because the break was so short and without the extra calories in the loading the hunger really became an issue. HCG is wonderful and the quick weight loss in P2 can definitely be addicting, but jumping right back into it after messing up on vacation or a holiday starts a vicious cycle (I have a friend who has been doing "mini rounds" for over a year because she just can't seem to stick with the plan and she uses HCG as a crutch every time she goes wild and gains a bunch of weight quickly). Plus, P3 is so fun and if you continue to eat no sugar and no starches after the first 3 weeks you will likely see gradual weightloss and some more reshaping.

ZigMoGing-- Welcome! The food you described just made my tummy grumble. I might go make a smoothie now!

Welcome Annie & PbGirl! Nice to "meet" you!

Morning! Breakfast was good, but my tummy hurt after for awhile. Cheesy eggs and bacon yum-o! I was taking fresh homemade jerky out of the dehydrator so had some of that already too. Yum. Was scared to step on the scale today, but was still down a couple ounces, so have about a 2 pound wiggle room on my LIW. Bring on the weekend! Plan on making steak and peppers for lunch with tomatoes and cheese (I use the philly steaks from schwans, they work great). and I've been dying to have a salad with balsalmic vinegrette, why I don't know. My sister made a salad with that at New Years and it was the bomb, never had it before. Would never have tried it on my own, but man it was good. DS has a little scrimmage again tonight. It was soo darn cute! These lil 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders traveling all over the floor and trying to shoot up to the big basket. My boy made the only "point" for his team Proud mom moment and he dribbled behind his back to avoid getting the ball taken away. It was awesome, but he had no idea that he even did it or how LOL It's freeezing here today, -19 without adding in windchill. Will be heading out early evening to feed and put animals in the barn. They sure keep me busy.

Diane - your little boy sounds so cute! I love seeing little kids playing sports.

Today is my last VLCD! Yay!

I also want to add that I really and truly believe that using hcg has broken my cycle of emotional dependence on food. I had a very bad thing happen yesterday. The type of thing that would have sent me right to a ton of comfort food, ice cream, etc. and it really didn't even occur to me to eat off protocol. I did have a drink though, but it was a classic case of me being basically in shock and shaking so hard after the incident that the first thing anyone thought of was for me to have some whiskey. It had the desired effect, so I had a second one. LOL! However, I was right at LDW this morning, so I'm not worried about the drinks.

I am really looking forward to bacon tomorrow. The past three rounds I started P3 off with cheesy eggs and bacon for breakfast, but this time I'm not. I am going to stick with meat, fats and veggies for the first couple of days. Then add cheese/yogurt for a couple of days, then add in eggs. Just trying to take it more slowly because last round I didn't stabilize well.

Mind if I join you all? P3 starts tomorrow! I did a slightly shortened round due to a potential "reaction" to hCG - I am one gigantic terrible BRUISE! My doc and weight loss clinic suggested I quit a day early before things got any worse. I plan to do a second round in a couple of months to hopefully lose the last 16lbs! We have a cruise planned for the end of May-beginning of June so trying to schedule it all in so I can be done with P3 is getting complicated.

I'm so looking forward to my eggs and salsa for breakfast and turkey burger with guacamole for lunch tomorrow!

    Round 1 - RX Injections. 1/8/13, VLCD 1 lost 21lbs!
    Round 2 - RX Injections. VLCD1 - 4/21
