    Not to my knowledge. Much of what we know about hcg we've simply observed here on the forum. I've been here for over 11 years and we've just noticed this kind of thing when people would get blood work.

    The only way you could really know is to do bloodwork almost weekly to see how it drops when the hcg totally dissipates from you body.

    I know that I did bloodwork about 3 weeks out and it was elevated. My thyroid meds were reduced because my elevated levels, redo blood work 6-8 weeks later and I was low and had to increase meds.

    I switch to NP thyroid and started on a does of 4-15mg tablets and needed to increase to 5.

    Do you need to reset your 3 weeks of P3 each time you do a steak day (I.e. so you restart the 3 weeks each time you do a steak day)?

    Iíve had to do 3-4 steak days - Iím on Day 17 of P3. Steak day has gotten me back to within 2lbs of LIW each time.

    You don't need to restart your 21 days, but you may need to adjust your LIW if you are doing that many steak days. Can you tell us what you are eating that you notice the big jump days happening?

    When I'm in a P3 round, I keep an Excel Spreadsheet log of everything I eat, my daily weight., and the amount of loss/gain each day. I also have the spreadsheet set up to calculate my lowest, highest, and average weights during that phase, and sometimes have adjusted my LIW to the average(which my body seemed to like better anyway). This resulted in a reduction in the number of correction days altogether.

    Thank you! Iím not tracking incessantly (I made a promise to myself to not do this because I get obsessive and it becomes very emotionally unhealthy for me, but now Iím wishing I had). Iím eating very little fruit (just strawberries/blackberries) and the rest is veg and meat. Iíve had some dairy but nothing crazy, I can try leaving that out completely. Iím also working out daily so I know it could be water retention - it took me 6 weeks to lose 11.5 lbs so I really donít want to see my weight creep back up!

    These were my last 3 days of P2 - my weight was up even before my round ended, so itís been a battle:

    3.31 140.7
    4.1 142.0 - no injection
    4.2 142.2 - no injection

    Iíve been bouncing between 141.1 and 145. Every time Iím over 142.7 I do a steak day. Iím frustrated because tonight I wonít be able to - Iím out to dinner with friends, so Iíll fast all day and then order a steak but donít want to be a weirdo and bring an apple in my purse...

    You could ask for sliced tomatoes instead of bringing an apple.

    You might want to split the difference and call 143 your LIW. It might settle out at that with less steak days needed.

    Thanks - Iím going to try and keep it lower. I have a feeling itís just water weight from all the different workouts (strength training, boxing, running, biking) but I SO donít want my weight to inch up, Iíd rather keep doing steak days to bring it down. I think Iíll probably jump onto another round sooner than later as well. I know youíre supposed to wait 6 weeks but if my doc gives me the okay, Iím diving in. My events/houseguests calendar wonít allow another round until late summer and I want to drive down my weight now.

    My workouts have been incredible at 10lbs less! Biking, running, and boot camps are SO much easier being lighter!!

    Just realize that if you do steak days too frequently, they can stop working. My hypothesis on that is that too many of them too close together start to slow your metabolism down, possibly because the body is getting the message that food is becoming scarce.

    One a week can be too many.

    FWIW, I found out in one of my rounds that I was very sensitive to all berries (even strawberries cause a gain for me in P2), and would go over my 2 lb. limit every time I ate blackberries, blueberries, or strawberries in P3. Once I cut them out, I didn't have that issue.

    If it were me, I'd stop the berries and dairy for a week, (eat just apples for now), then try other fruits later.

    Thanks. Iíll try that! I seemed to lose fine with strawberries but honestly, I lost SO SLOW in P2 (a quarter pound a day average) that I couldnít figure what was working and what didnít.

    I havenít really been eating much fruit in P3, but Iíll add some back - maybe grapefruit and apples. P3 is technically over for me in a couple days but Iíll probably keep the principles going.
    I just want to do another round to drive down my weight before summer is fully here.
