    Phase 3 or Paleo?

Just want to see how many find that Paleo mirrors most of P3? and how many choose to do it Paleo style.
Looking for your opinions - pros and cons! I am still in Phase 2 and have lost 18 pounds won't finish up until the
10th of June but I like what I see in the Paleo....looking forward to P3!
    Thanks everyone.

Hey starnorthwest! Congrats on the 18 pounds released! Looks like you're doing a long round, POWER TO YOU! Keep going!

I'm currently P3D4 and I decide to do a very strict paleo P3 (as well as not adding back sweet potatoes, root veggies, high GI fruits, and any nuts at all.) I stay strict paleo between rounds and it REALLY helps my body keep the weight off. I've found I have a very strong sensitivity to dairy and grains. It keeps me feeling very "clean" and not bloated at all. When I even try to add milk products in, I feel and see it in my cheeks and tummy.

Typical breakfast: 3-4 eggs, 1/2 avocado, sautéed spinach, onion, tomatoes, bell peppers, mushroom. Black coffee.

    Typical snacks:
    apples with cinnamon
    smoked salmon pieces
blended frozen berries with stevia and cocoa powder (makes almost like a sorbet)
avocado and melted butter dip with bell pepper sticks
    hard boiled eggs
    baked apple chips
coconut yogurt flavoured with stevia and topped with berries.
    bacon wrapped avocado pieces
cucumber salad (thin sliced cucumbers, vinegar, tiny bit of stevia, salt and pepper)

    Typical lunches/dinners:
    2-3 chicken thighs
    steak cooked in butter
    chicken breasts
    salmon fillets with cruchy skin
hamburgers with portobello mushroom buns topped with grilled onions and an egg, onion, bell pepper, tomato
bacon wrapped avocado stuffed chicken thighs/breasts
    bacon wrapped asparagus
    mashed cauliflower (like potatoes)
sauteer veggies in a big pan in olive oil
    roast tomatoes with salt/pepper/rosemary
    baked bulbs of garlic (whole)
zoodles with creamy avocado sauce and chicken
chicken salads tossed in olive and vinegar

    Typical deserts:
baked apple with cinnamon + stevia
sautéed apple and berries with butter and cinnamon
cocoa crack!! (coconut oil, cocoa powder, stevia melted together and cooled into a fudge consistency)
mixed berry sorbet (blended frozen berries with cocoa powder and stevia

Going till June 15 when I finish the long round, then I am going to do Paleo, I like the variety and it makes a lot of sense to infuse your lifestyle with something you can build around.

I started my 2nd round of HCG 2 months ago. So, I'm well into maintenance. I didn't add back breads, grains, or sugars. Well, I did add back wine! I'm totally fine with meats, eggs, veggies, and fruits. I'm not a sweet eater so didn't have to bother with the sugar cravings that some do. I'm totally content eating this way. Yes, I've had one flour tortilla and a bite of french bread here and there. But, I'm just NOT adding it back that stuff because I'm not bloating anymore and it feels so great not to be bloated all the time. Cave man it is for me this time!!!! Very easy to move diet over to eating clean after HCG!! I think I'm totally stabilized 1 lb. above LIW. KMac

This is GREAT!!! I too love my wine. But as for grains, dairy and sugars, I stay far away and because of that, I stabilize very very well! So glad you hear you're going well!!!

I'm starting my first day of P3 on my first day of vacation to Mexico. Any tips and suggestions on that ease into p3 and paleo eating on vacation? We are staying at an all inclusive resort and will have several options for foods. Should I stay away from fruit entirely until back at home? I guess I better pack my scale to take with me July 13 😊

Fruit is allowed on P3. Just watch your weight and see how you react to it. I don't drink so I can't really advise you on safest options there for P3. Anything sweet in a mixed drink would be very problematic though.
