Thread: Starting P3 on 3/26/2012 is anyone else?

    First day of P3 food will either be Thursday or Friday. I will have a couple of strips of bacon, and then 2 eggs + 2 whites scrambled. Might throw some tomatoes and spinach leaves in there. Put some HWC in my coffee, and start the day!

    Steph, it's hard to get in 1500 calories ASAP. And it isn't really necessary. We have a couple of weeks time to build up to that. I did the P3 for 13 days (intending to finish it and go into P4), but only got up over 1000 calories 3 days, and 1 of those was over 1300. I think mine may have been harder to get high, because I had limited food at my disposal and no way to prepare it. I ended up adding bacon, avocado, guac, cheddar, fresh mozz, bleu cheese, greek yogurt, and almonds; I already had eggs in.

    Here are my rough stats on macronutrients from my food diary. The Week 1 averages are skewed a bit low, as I had one day of VLC in the 7 days of data; there are 7 days for Week 2. Carbs are total, not net, and fats are total, not broken into saturated, etc.

    Week 1: Calories (750-1280, average 840) Protein (60-90g, average 79g) Carbs (4-30g, average 15g) Fats (30-72, average 51g)
    Week 2: Calories (500-1300, average 1111) Protein (72-110g, average 91g) Carbs (0-60g, average 41g) Fats (22-92, average 67g)

    I did one correction day (but I added some weight when I caught a virus, so I am not sure what would have happened had I not been so, um, loving to my toilet. I ended up right at my LIW by the end of the 13 days (I didn't have my home scale, so am not 100% accurate, but I appeared to be .2 over LIW when I got back home and decided to go back into P2).

    Maybe those figures/averages will help give some of y'all a sort of feel for what happens. There are no real published "stats" that are suggested for our new intakes, and after measuring and be so cognizant for P2, it was SO hard for me to not have actual numerical goals in mind. Everyone will be different, and what worked for me may not work for you - and what worked for me might not work for me anymore! Bodies are odd things...

    Hey everyone! So glad I found this thread !! I'm on day one with no drops! I feel a bit hungry but I'm sure just mind games !!! So nervous! About thurs. does anyone have advice ?? Maybe meal plan?? I'm worried I won't eat enough bc I'll be hesitant what I can eat. What is working for people ??

    Welcome! I wasn't hungry until day 2 evening, but I was on the shots. I officially start P3 tomorrow, but I have had to increase my protien today due to hunger. I am not eating friut on P2. Just meat, veggies and fat. I can't wait! I am actually craving asparagus. Crazy huh?

    Ok, I am officially on P3! Yeah! I ate a big breakfast, two scrambled eggs in CO and 2 strips of bacon. Yummy! I ate it just fine. Hopefully won't give me issues later. I am just soooooooo happy to be here. I weighed in this morning at .5 pounds down so that is good. I like to have a little wiggle room. Anyone else start P3 yet, Tell me what your eating and how your doing??

    hey ladies!!!!.... Question here!!. I noticed that apples were not on the list to eat in phase three?.. is that a reason? Are we able too?..... And for three week i see some people are not eating any Fruits?.. Is this the best way?...

    Hi Stephanie - congrats on starting P3! I'm doing the Leptin Reset. I've been eating steak cooks in coconut oil for breakfast along with coffee and HWC and some cocoa crack. I am FULL for hours! I started Sunday and so far I am fairly stable. Today I was .4 above LIW but about to start TOM do not too concerned. I haven't introduced eggs yet. I've had some autoimmune issues so I'm treading carefully when it comes to eggs ... I might try one or two next week. Good luck!

    It sounds like your enjoying yourself. I have to tell ya, I am loving P3! I just ate lunch and I had a lean ground beef patty with cut up portobellos cooked in a mixture of CO and butter. I did put a tiny bit of cheese. I know, I have added two things today, but it was such a tiny bit of cheese, lol. I am full but not uncomfortable. So far I have eaten 350 cals for breakfast and 650 cals for lunch! OMG, I can't believe I can eat that much. It was ALL protien except the mushrooms. I will probably have a small steak and some asparagus for dinner and cocoa crack for a snack. Total cals about 1650 for today. If I don't gain I will be quite surprized! LOL!

    On day 1 of no hcg. Feeling good and can't wait to start eating low carb. Also can't wait to start back at the gym. The kids are onspring break next week, so will start back to the gym in two weeks. Going to start walking while I build up my calories.
